Yes he is good. I'm also using the Rode NT USB mini for some days and quite happy with it. Got this upgrade from using the Boya Lav mic for around a year.
I think they different needs, I just released a new video about the new updates for the rode connect that make it even more powerful! However Rode have just announced a beta version for the Rode caster. The Rode Caster and its new features are moving into a truly professional world. You get a lot of advantages still ie, Better mic options, Physical interface, More audio controls etc. However the Rode connect I think is for your more personal causal podcaster or video streamer. I love using the Rode connect because its easy and quick, great for personal use and takes up no space on my desk as its all on my computer and one mic. However I've done paid professional podcasts where I chose the Rode caster because I had more control and could use better mics. You should check out rode new announcement on what the Rode caster can now do its epic.

For 2 years messing with audio interfaces, daws, endless different mics only to not be able to get the sound right in my podcast and after almost 100 episodes it’s never sounded better. With this mic. I work a full time job and don’t have time to audio engineer episodes. Rode you are incredible

Yes, When you open the Rode connect App on your computer you can set any other app i.e. Zoom sound preferences to the rode connect. It will then use the Rode connect app as its source of audio so you can mix mics etc via the rode connect without have to record. It works just like an interface you just need to make sure what ever app you using that the preferences have the rode connect selected.
Do you think streamdeck would work capturing screen audio? I need sound pads. I know I could buy a rodecaster but lol. I can’t find any windows soundboards worth a shit.
U defiantly Can, however it wouldn’t be the best for singing. It’s go very deep base tones but if you recorded with no effects on you could get Something rather nice. I think it’s defs one of the best USB mics out there, but singing you wanna look at getting pre Amps extra
for an audio guy, arguing how to pronounce .wav wrong..and yea, you are! is silly. lemme educate: the extension was called .wav, short for waveform. the extension literally takes an input and converts it into a digital waveform that simulates a physical, real life analog waveform...so it is pronounced wave.

Why did Rode do this when I just ordered the Rodecaster Pro? Would the Rodecaster still be a useful device with the emergence of the rode connect?

I record into my MacBook and then synch the camera and audio in post.

What’s your workflow for video podcasting with the rode connect
I record both externally and then synch in FCX. It auto synchs really well.

Is it possible to pause?! Or you just have to Rec all ?!
If you stop the rec it will just end the file, so you would need to start again and put them together in post unfortunately.
