I love this live action movie, some people maybe dont like it, but its all about taste..
I mean, the movie is already 12 years old so...
At first i cannot imagine how shinichi would be in live action because the character in anime is confident and clever high school boy while other anime has unique lead character . But Oguri shun is so great in live action.His acting is always impressive. The way he acted shows that he really understand and get into the character perfectly. He put life and soul into 2D characters ,that makes me want to watch every live action he played even if i am not the fan of that anime (but i am Conan’s fan for sure!)
Tbh i like him playing as kudo too but did you know that many conan fans didn't like him playing as kudo? The even sending him threatening letter if he still playing as kudo..

That's not Japanese version of bof,bof is the Korean version of f4 since hana yori dango was made around 2004-2006 and the original hana yori dango was a Japanese manga where the first f4 drama get from which is the 2000 meteor garden...
By the way I myself is a fan of hanazawa rui too,starting from his drama hana yori dango,crow zero,detective Conan and even lupin the 3rd.

The commenters who display a public display of disgust dont do any research, Anime/Manga adaptations are a yearly occurrence in Japan, from TV dramas to movies and it has been happening for more than 3 decades, which is older than many of you "WESTERN" Anime/Manga fanatics, who quite frankly should not have the authority to say what shouldn't be adapted, because the adaptations of Manga/ Anime have existed way longer than many of you. This was a TV special of Detective Conan a prequel to the original story and it had the exact same visual appeal as many Japanese TV drama's at the time, and it was fine!
