I test drove both X6 and GLE today. What can I say, both these cars are amazing, but there are big differences.
Looks:
To me the X6 has a much nicer looking exterior (from the backside it has something from the Lambo Urus) while the GLE had a nicer interior (higher quality & customisable screens, nicer ambient lighting, less plasticy feel etc).
Driving:
I wanted features from the TESLA but I didn't want a car that runs on batteries. I am not a performance or motor enthusiast but rather a tech nerd with my main criteria being computer intelligence (automation, AI, safety etc). I was so blown away by the BMW. You can push the copilot button and the car literally drives itself! Even in the city without any lane markings, mind blown! BMW doesn't heavily promote how good they are at this but trust me they are way further ahead in the game than they admit. Try it yourself to see what I mean. The GLE was a major disappointment. It constantly swung too close to the opposing lane during the slightest of bends scaring oncoming traffic and making me look like a drunk driver to the cars behind me. It also came in way too fast toward the cars that were stopped in front of me. Mercedes is on the right track but not there yet, I just didn't feel safe using this tech in the Mercedes.
I was always a person to hate on Diesels (bad experiences with Audi) but OMG the BMW M50D engine with its 4 turbos blew me away. Much cheaper getting that engine than the gasoline V8 in case you are looking to add some power (0-100KMH in 5.2). Cheers

This generation X6M and GLE63S Coupe are both beautiful high performance luxury Suvs and they're simply the best in the market. They have their own personalities. The performance of X6M is the best in the market while the interior and quality of GLE63S Coupe the best.
