She was right when she said , if you want to quit, do it for yourself, not your kids, your significant other, or your family. I am proud of you Jasmine. My fiance was into that ugly drug. Its sad to see someone you love so much destroy their life on that nasty shit. I've never done any crazy drugs, but I don't knock those who do, but all I went through with him really brought me down and it got so bad, that I left him. Still till this day I will never understand why. I am still very depressed from the whole situation. I wish he would of really changed when he still had me there with him in New Mexico. Keep your head up girl , because life is to short. Much love and respects to you. God bless
Having been born in raised in Albuquerque myself, I see the trials and tribulations people like Jasmine are going through everywhere. The city is truly unique in our melting pot of cultures and traditions, and even still being a stressful enough environment that some people find it hard to escape a lifestyle of substance abuse and crime when they are around it so often, sometimes in their own homes. Thank you for making these amazing videos Frank and bringing a light to the problems Burqueños have been facing all their lives.
I know a grip of ppl here in burque that do that shit I almost done it when I was younger thank God I didn't do it. But yeah I give props to ppl who quit cuz I see how bad ppl get and look it's crazy. But stay up and a good tip is stay away from ppl who do it I'm sure you already know that but yeah just saying lol
Dam my maiden name is Ortega and I’m from Albuquerque! Grew up in the war zone, seen and done a lot but over came it all. Good for you momma 👏👏 you overcame 🙏🙏🙏
This was recommended and I was like WTF I've had a class with him! These videos are amazing Frank, so beautifully made and captures so much of her beauty and the city. So good.
"...Regardless of what happens at least I'm clean and even on a bad day it's still not as bad as my best day when I was using..." Those are some powerful words... I like it!
Damn...its sad to think this young beautiful woman was once a victim to the affects of heroine. I've witnessed many people fall into the monster of addiction who never recovered. They had no bounce back...where she was once weak she found strength and broke out of the mental and physical box of addiction. I am in admiration of this young woman. Keep striving lovely one...sky's the limit.. Much love from Cali😎👍
She is 100% a success story! Seeing her smile & dancing/working out, is so inspiring. Telling her story can help change lives and motivate those who want to get clean. She looks amazing & it’s so awesome to hear she can now have nice things. Not having to worry about how she’s going to make money, for the dope just so she won’t be sick . I love when she said “even on a bad day. It’s still not as bad as a good day when I was using”. Heart touching video! 🥰
Damn this hits my heart so bad. My sister was addicted for idk years. She has just turned 18 in 2019. She was a young mother to my nephew. She was addicted to shooting up heroin. We tried to help her get clean. I begged her. She ended up getting a bacteria infection in her heart. She passed away Dec.31st 2019. I miss her every damn day! Fuck Heroin and the people who put poor souls through a living hell. I hope shes at peace now. Now we have to worry about my nephew and hope he doesn't fall in with the wrong crowd. Heroin doesn't discriminate it takes victims of any upbringing, race or age. Thanks for making this. I'm so happy for her. I hope I come across her and thank her for sharing her story
if the person making these is reading this... i need more dawg im from abq and watching this shit is eye opening.. you earned a sub🖤 keep changing lives
You guys could really make a name for yourselfves with these videos. More content please, they have a real feel to them. A genuine truth comes through. I predict some national exposure in the future. They also just look really good, like big budget production's. Nice man! BTW I live in NM
God Bless you 🙏 Thank you Frank for producing these short story documentaries. I hope people are watching and know that there is light. I pray that she continues to keep that light switch on and stay smiling and full of life. Thank you once again for sharing 🙏 Hope this may help others
This video had me in tears I was in prison with you guys both of you so I can relate nothing feels better than coming out clean and staying clean. Thank you Jazmine you have given me inspiration to not only make a difference in my life but in the life's of others.
I'm born & raised in Albuquerque. I lived there for 31 years. I now live in Michigan. I still rep the 505 and will never forget where I came from. I love my City.
@Luciano Drama Mayorga thanks for your encouraging words as well. I struggled with alcohol for over 20 years and ended up in a fatal accident was what got me sober and other hard life lessons. I am glad you are doing better . take care and God bless.
3 yrs sober here🙌🏽 I was hooked on the real deal Not oxy but ROXY 30’s taking up to 4 to 5 a day and maintains a job bc I was so good at hiding that shit. But anyways I just to say, Yes ANYBODY can do it! I thought i was doomed, this is how I’m gonna end up dead. It got to the point the drug was only making me sicker and since that day I went thru a horrible detox and promised I’m never touching that shit in my life again, I call em blue devils now. People ask me do you ever have temptations ? And ong NO, bc I always think of those last days taking em and just feeling sicker throwing up nothing over the toilet. You youngins out there LISTEN! These drugs are not jokes or to be played with. I lost my babymama over it. But i have the best relationship with my son. That boy is my only drug now
I live in Albuquerque too and can relate to this girl so much,I've been clean for almost 3and a half years, and just like she says"my worst days being sober Totally beats out my best days of using"I live that motto every day I wake up,and thank the good Lord up above that I'm Clean and Alive!!!
I grew up in the north valley, I've been clean now 90 days. It took a long time plus federal prison and getting right in my head. Thank you for keeping it real.
I can’t get over these videos! They are so beautifully made. I’m sure you’ll have your own series on cable one day. Heartbreaking and hopeful at the same time. She’s beautiful and I’m so happy for her!
This video was so bitter sweet because I am from Albuquerque and see so many people hooked on this disgusting drug on a daily basis so it's beautiful to see an amazing success story such as this! ! Congrats to you Ortega and to anyone else out there who has been clean even if for 24 hours cause you gotta start somewhere! ✊

Beautiful video Ese. Love the content. It's bomb watching all these positive stories of my Raza overcoming our tragedies and struggles. Keep up the good work Mi Gente. Arizona is watching.
This was so inspiring to watch. I too was addicted to heroin and meth shooting up for 12 years, out on the streets, aka the War Zone of Albuquerque. I found out I was 7 months pregnant, when I went to jail for a warrant. That was on September 16th 2017. I gave birth to a beautiful, healthy, perfect baby girl and named her Angel. Because that is just what she is. God sent her to me so save my life from the streets and all the agony I was going through. So, when I watch videos such as this one, I do become emotional, because I know the same exact feeling that she went through and what she went through criminal-wise, and that there is hope and the grass is greener on the other side. I'm also born and raised in Albuquerque, NM and still live here. Sadly, this is what happened to a lot of my friends. I'm so happy to see her on the other side of the addiction. Also, the shots of Albuquerque are beautiful 💜🎀💜😍 #welldone
This is soooooo dope!!!! Man I love these stories , 😍😍😍 such an inspiration!!! I've been clean almost 1 year!!! The struggle is real... Keep up the good work 💖💖💖
I'm glad she's made it out alive. I've lost so many friends and even family to drugs. It's hard to get away from it in this city. Great job on the videos and I must say, she is so beautiful lol. Had to throw that in there :p
I hope one day my brother has the strength this woman had when she overcame her addiction I'm glad and proud that this woman woke up and got her life back there is no feeling better than to feel alive again

Hi from Australia, solid work Frank, +1 subscriber
Thank you for posting these, from the bottom of my heart. 💖🌹 Nicole Marion

cinematography is really great way to tell a story. It sucked me in right away. Keep it up..
Your best one yet. Great video
I find these videos compelling. I have been around many streets in many cities and i find Albuquerque streets to be a unique story because of the PEOPLE.
