I saw the movie last night. It’s true-it may be technically one of the worst big-budget movies ever made, but we’re still thinking about it days later, aren’t we? Coppola might be a genius for finding a unique way to burn an idea into the audience’s minds. I predict that someday soon, Megalopolis will be considered a cult classic and will inspire many auteurs and creators in the future.
I saw the film. I wanted to like it. I'm tired of RUclips critics saying that if you couldn't get this, you must want marvel movies. I understand some of what Coppola was going for. It's not unfair or shallow to say he missed the mark in parts of the movie.
100%, think I was in the same boat with you as far as wanting to like it, and thinking Coppola could of gotten his vision across in a more clear, and clever way. Coppola probably just needed people to tell him he's doing too much in certain parts, because cutting out a few parts of this movie would of made for a much more clearer, and more enjoyable experience for me at least.
@@chrisjherman thanks big homie, I’m out right now or I’d be sitting in for your review, will for sure come back to check it later! And that Q&A was chaotic as hell! 😂
Nice review. I was surprised at not seeing any mention of Dustin Hoffman. Did you hear that the first time Dustin Hoffman and Jon Voight appeared together in a movie was Midnight Cowboy - 1969
Thanks for taking the time to check any of this review out, appreciate it! And I would of loved to have mentioned Dustin Hoffman more, but his part is so small in the movie I honestly forgot about him being the so called "Fixer". And no, I haven't even heard of Midnight Cowboy, but reading the basic premise of the movie does have me interested in adding it to a backlog! :D
@@DatChickenWangMidnight Cowboy is excellent. Movie trivia. It's the only X rated movie to win the best picture Oscar. It's rating was lowered to an R at a later point. It's not pornography.
You're not wrong, but it is somehow still not the worst movie I've seen this year, and for as boring as some of it is, it still wanted to see how it'd all get wrapped up in the end.
I'd say it's a must for Aubrey Plaza fans. I hope there's a director's cut with more scenes of Wow Platinum!
It was maximum Aubrey Plaza.
Aubrey fans are eating real good this year!
Glad to see this review did so well, sir! Keep up the good work.

I saw it yesterday and loved it
As a fan of Greek and Roman mythology/History it was dope seeing the little refrences
I saw the movie. What is the big deal? It's too simple. It's nothing new. I give it a 10/10. So there.

That Q&A session is bonkers. Great job on the review, sir! Definitely gonna share this.
