Hey! I heard that accent and was like "That guy has to be a neighbor." Yup. I am in Greenville and I found you because I am doing the exact same thing.
with the antenna you are using in this video, it is more then likely only pulling in uhf channels, because it has no vhf elements on it, if you want to stay with an indoor antenna, get the clearstream 2 max, comes with a tAbletop stand, and a j pole, and mount kit so you can use it infdoors or outdoors, and it has a damn good vhf element for high vhf channels if you have any vhf channels local
If your Plex server is running off a low power NAS device it may not be powerful enough to do the DVR as it will be encoding the videos I believe which is very CPU intensive.
philo tv has 63 channels for 20 bucks, check em out Mark, those are cable/satelite line up channels that you can add to your entertainment, and they have unlimited dvr so you can record all you want
I haven't tried it, but I would assume that if you can connect to your home network with your smartphone browser it would work. I would check with the manufacturer first though. Go to their website. I know that I am able to view TV and Plex on my phone in my home though.
and ill tell you straight up on an antenna, you cannot beat the clearstream 4 max, i have station towers around me in a circle basically, and all but two are more then 50 miles away, i use an rca preamp i bought from menards for 28 bucks, works like a damn steam engine, check it out.
Here is something I just learned. I thought this device would provide me with MORE channels than I get with my antenna. That is not true. You will only get the channels you were getting with your antenna alone. In other words, it's only as good as your antenna. I'm sure many already knew this, but the way the company presents it, some would misunderstand.
Buildings will prevent you from getting signals. They are rolling out a new format OTA TV, ATSC 3.0 where there will be better reception. From what I understand, some stations currently use it and it should be fully out in 2-3 years
@@Mr.Reeddss I guess you could connect it to your TV, but that defeats the purpose of the device. It is designed so that any device on the home network can view over the air TV. Plex, the internet is needed to stream content
Loved this video. Just what I was looking for. Like how you work through things.
Awll-in-awll dats a great tv tooner cawd! Lol. Great vid, love the accent!

Can anyone point out how this device differs from, a Tablo? Is the tuner more sensitive? Is the interface better?

All it is is a tuner card which allows you to view live TV on computers and mobile devices anywhere there is an internet connection

Ads for medication will always be weird to me. Every time i go to America, it weirds me out. Don't know why, it just does.
They want you pay that much and no remote with it,🤔
You don’t change channels through the device so a remote would be useless
@@MarkPlante will it work without internet like regular TV
