As she said Mafumafu lyrics is about his life experiences and for this song if you watch it from the beginning to the end you can understand that this portrayed her experience as she made the music and honestly its a banger i guess this is a head bopping depression song. I want to offer you a little help with my limited knowledge: if you find mixing difficult, especially if you often can't hear what changes the effects bring to the sound, it's very likely because your listening equipment and environment are not good enough. Mixing has high demands on equipment, requiring professional monitoring speakers and acoustical treatment (which is very expensive!), and using less expensive but still not cheap monitoring headphones can only be barely satisfactory. I can totally relate with this video, the whole process especially the mixing part. Utau is much harder to use than Vocaloid in my opinion and I’m really surprised that you managed to tune it well. There is so much diversity in the music, it's dynamic and chaotic, yet structured and organised. To think that you believed this is *bad* is a sin. You should be not only proud of yourself, you should be celebrating! You are right, making music is hard, but by god have you hit the nail on the head here. I genuinely mean this when i say you have potential. And don't let the fact that you drew a lot from Mafumafu's style detract from that idea of potential- everybody starts somewhere, and everybody has their inspirations. This is one of the most crazy videos I think I've ever seen, just considering the amount of time and effort you put into everything and went from no idea of how to make music to making a pretty amazing song very clearly inspired by one of the most insanely skilled songwriters ever (and that you also attempted mixing it yourself). The sequence of Mafu screams had me cracking up - that man just be screamin' I was about to be scared when you mentioned downloading Utau; I briefly had Utau and the only reason I managed to set it up, I was possessed by hyperfixation. And that was JUST to set it up. But the fact that you used even an "easier" form of Utau is still not easy, because tuning and figuring out what notes you're even aiming for was a headache for me Like the level of effort into every second of this is crazy to me dude. This is so impressive and inspiring, I’ve always wanted to learn how to make music but I similarly had/have no clue where to start. But seeing that someone else with nothing but some distant music theory knowledge under their belt is capable of creating something so well put-together after only 3 months of earnest work makes me feel super motivated to try harder!!! As a composer, this video really touched me. This was litterally me a couple years ago, listening over and over to my favorite artists, trying to reproduce the sounds and the tropes I liked and wanted to incorporate in my own sounds. All of that condensed in a 30 minutes video. Seeing you your struggles in this video almost made me cry of nostaligia. Hell, you even got the CPU overload cracks. That, I tell you, is proof that you're a real composer lol And btw, yeah, mixing really is about turning knobs randomly sometimes. There's a few rules you can't really find out without a tutorial (phase distortion, etc), it's a mess. Tbh, apart from audio engineers, nobody really know what they are doing. And everybody did start by boosting the highs and lows 10 db x) There's some things kinda off in the final song. The mixing it okayish, the structure itself is pretty good, the composition itself is good minus some out-of-keys stuff and some akward melodies. But all of that is absolutely irrelevant. I can tell you that, for a first song, all of this is absolutely insane. Like, I don't know enough english to say it properly. What you did here, even if it took a bit of time, is absolutely amazing. I didn't know you before this video, and I'm almost bit sad I'm only finding your channel now. Thanks for the ride, ferd. Also, I'm going to listen to more mafumafu songs. I was smiling through the ENTIRE song. I'm just so in awe at the artistry. Not gonna lie I was expecting something mediocre and this absolutely blew my mind. Sound engineering is incredibly hard specially to someone who isn't experienced and doesn't have a trained ear. This is just amazing! Props to you. i'm probably not that qualified to give tips since i wasn't super methodical about learning in the beginning and just let the algorithm keep recommending me things LOL but to get started what helped me was watching a bunch of beginner-friendly YT videos to ease into it, like from how to start the song/make a melody (e.g. ruclips.net/video/m6OgNpTjuBs/видео.htmlsi=ZPK6pNPRckebeBZQ) -> to how to do arrangement after you have an idea (i think this was one of my first videos ruclips.net/video/NwTPqJKoFW8/видео.htmlsi=EJFz3RggmeGulXWj) and looking up how to do stuff as you go along ("i need chords, drums, etc"). if you want to see the entire process there's also "making a song from scratch"-ish videos to help you get an idea of what you need to do
my playlist has more mixing videos so it might not be as helpful for production (i also dumped everything vaguely music-related into it so it's a mess) but i recommend making your own! happy new year : )

I know nothing about Mafumafu, vocaloid, jpop, or anything of the sort, but as a musician, i can confidently say that this absolutely fucking slaps. There is so much diversity in the music, it's dynamic and chaotic, yet structured and organised. To think that you believed this is *bad* is a sin. You should be not only proud of yourself, you should be celebrating! You are right, making music is hard, but by god have you hit the nail on the head here. I genuinely mean this when i say you have potential. And don't let the fact that you drew a lot from Mafumafu's style detract from that idea of potential- everybody starts somewhere, and everybody has their inspirations. Modern music is absolutely chock full of sampling, copying and referencing.
Keep at this and keep sharing your music. I believe you will go far!

This is one of the most crazy videos I think I've ever seen, just considering the amount of time and effort you put into everything and went from no idea of how to make music to making a pretty amazing song very clearly inspired by one of the most insanely skilled songwriters ever (and that you also attempted mixing it yourself). I was about to be scared when you mentioned downloading Utau; I briefly had Utau and the only reason I managed to set it up, I was possessed by hyperfixation. And that was JUST to set it up. But the fact that you used even an "easier" form of Utau is still not easy, because tuning and figuring out what notes you're even aiming for was a headache for me

I must say that this is CRAZY. I just can imagine how many times you had to replay the song over and over again in the try of getting it into a masterpiece. The lyrics, the sound, all the explanation. You really did a great job, the determination and the discipline as well. THIS IS GENUINELY SUCH A BANGER if you put this on Spotify or even uploaded to RUclips as its own song I’d unironically listen to it. This is so impressive and inspiring, I’ve always wanted to learn how to make music but I similarly had/have no clue where to start. But seeing that someone else with nothing but some distant music theory knowledge under their belt is capable of creating something so well put-together after only 3 months of earnest work makes me feel super motivated to try harder!!! I think I’ll take on a challenge similar to yours!!

As a composer, this video really touched me. This was litterally me a couple years ago, listening over and over to my favorite artists, trying to reproduce the sounds and the tropes I liked and wanted to incorporate in my own sounds. All of that condensed in a 30 minutes video. Seeing you your struggles in this video almost made me cry of nostaligia. Hell, you even got the CPU overload cracks. That, I tell you, is proof that you're a real composer lol
And btw, yeah, mixing really is about turning knobs randomly sometimes. There's a few rules you can't really find out without a tutorial (phase distortion, etc), it's a mess. Tbh, apart from audio engineers, nobody really know what they are doing. And everybody did start by boosting the highs and lows 10 db x)
There's some things kinda off in the final song. The mixing it okayish, the structure itself is pretty good, the composition itself is good minus some out-of-keys stuff and some akward melodies. But all of that is absolutely irrelevant. I can tell you that, for a first song, all of this is absolutely insane. Like, I don't know enough english to say it properly. What you did here, even if it took a bit of time, is absolutely amazing.
I didn't know you before this video, and I'm almost bit sad I'm only finding your channel now. Thanks for the ride, ferd.

I was smiling through the ENTIRE song. I'm just so in awe at the artistry. Not gonna lie I was expecting something mediocre and this absolutely blew my mind. Sound engineering is incredibly hard specially to someone who isn't experienced and doesn't have a trained ear. This is just amazing! Props to you. I'm sure you are plenty proud of your work which you should be because this just slayed.
