I wish people would serve three different sliders more often. When I'm out, I want to taste different things. This is also cultural. I grew up eating many different dishes family-style, not just a huge main dish.

Just putting out there none of these were sandwiches. You had some burgers, some food on top of bread and a wrap. Like if I asked for a sandwhich and got one of these i'd be confused af. xD
Technically a burger is a sandwich. Two bread and some type of meat covered between the buns. Let just say all burgers are sandwich but not all sandwich are burgers.

I mean other than the stare these judges seem to be doing pretty a pretty good job.
I think it might be to simple 😢 proceeds to describe a billion words I don't understand to describe the dish.
Judge 1: BBQd a decent chicken once...so they made him a judge.
Judge 2: goes to his local diner and stares at the chef there in the eyes while he eats...master chef recruiter saw him one day making such extreme eye contact...made him a judge.
Judge 3: Guy stood outside a gas station eating a subway sandwich...master chef recruiter came across him eating and he asked the guy how his sandwich was...he said “it’s a great sandwich.” Made him a judge.
God these guys are cringe.

I find it rather amusing about the number of people who are complaining about the judges. They were chosen BECAUSE they are from South Africa and they are familiar with local customs, culture, etc. Just because you might not have heard of them doesn't mean they are second rate or earth scum types. It just means that they have chosen to stay close to home, so to speak. ALL Master Chefs in each country that have a version, have judges from that country. It's just how it's done.
We have world class chefs, i know them all...and as it turned out to be these chefs are only good enough to sell pots and pans at our local grocery store named Spar...as per Africa usual...we let politics rule us and not skill...Africa will stay its own biggest enemy

Worst judges in all of Master Chef series ...ever, and the acting skills are even worse, they kept the contestant down to pap en vleis level instead of elevation. To important to part with knowledge and skills,maybe cause they have none. Actually ate at all of their restaurats...pls give me pap en vleis after that.

I am proudly South African, but MasterChef South Africa makes me squirm. Judges are not the best out there, the camera work is not the best. Sharp contrast between this local MasterChef and oversees versions....and I am cringing!
