Chicago Cubs Needs A Prospect To Wear Number 74 In The Chicago Cubs Jersey Since Jose Cuas Was Designated For Assignment Last June It's Going To Be A Batter
Yeah, if they don't sell off as many veterans as other teams are foolish enough to give prospects for, and bring up the best young players with an ETA of this year or next to start their Cubs careers now, I'll be pissed. This team is anemic at the plate and average at best otherwise.
before I give upon '24 I must observe that i think it's clear we have everything we need to be a contender. there is no earthly explanation for our precipitous drop in run production. it's like somebody flicked a switch. we could still get switched on. we were contenders last year with worse pitching because we scored RUNS. It could happen for us still. Of course, maybe it won't. but I see no reason to give up until we're like 10 games back from the last wild card spot.
Might be a stretch but would absolutely love to see Brent Rooker in Chicago. Slot him in as the everyday right fielder and put suzuki as the dh considering he can't read a flyball.
Williams, Merryweather, Almonte, Leiter Jr., Wesneski, Smyly, Neris. And who knows, maybe Alzolay will contribute (but I doubt it). And of course a bunch of guys who are only good half the time. We've got pretty good starting pitching. We get another bat at catcher that could be the difference. Keep on with Morel and if he hasn't improved enough by the break then bring up Shaw and slot Morel for DH. And move Hoerner to the start of the order.
Nobody is coming up and when they do all CC does is sit them on the bench Canario is a perfect example he is killing it in AAA and can’t smell a ML at.bat
That's what I'm thinking!! Quit trading your top prospects!!🤨 I'm tired of seeing Cubs' prospects, going and contributing on other teams, in the "World Series!!"😲🤔😠..............Where is the Cubs' "Aaron Judge" long term!!??🤨🧐🤔
Ok so if the Cubbies want to make the playoffs this is what I would do. First at trade deadline trade Patrick Wisdom and Porter Hodge for Emmanuel Clase or a CP- RH then call up Owen Cassie and Cade Horton DFA Hendricks Trade Brewer and Kevin Alcantara for a Good Relif pitcher
I bet, unfortunately, if those players you just mentioned were on other teams, they would, at least be up in the Majors!! It seems other teams accelerate their Farm Club to the Majors, if they're not in the starting lineup, at least you'll see them off the bench!! Remember a few weeks ago, they called up Luis, I forgot his last name, when both Dansby Swanson in Nico Hoerner were out, and Luis sat on the bench, I never saw his number at the plate!!🤨
That's another thing, why haven't they already develop catchers they can call up by now!!??🤨........I think the Cubs had at least 3 catchers in the last 10 years they could use to this day!!😲🧐🙄
Der b nos rescues. Unless wirlin verlin breakdancer froms Crestwood IL b doin hes cubs slide down dance. Dis b he breakdancein partner. Awite wordz MAKE AMERICA TRUMPLESS AGAIN FRANKLIN 🤘🃏🇺🇸🎸🍼🕺🌪️👁️👁️🤣😅
Nobody can save the season. The team is playing like a dead fish. Counsell sucks as a manager, and their so called great prospects can't hit major league pitching.
Counsell doesnt suck. Theres nothing more he can do to make these guys hit a baseball. They have to get their shit together before he can make any difference
@@DanielRRoof Yes he does suck. He is a terrible manager with no personality. The team is playing with no personality. I said the day they hired him it was a big mistake but nobody listened. Well guess who was right.
Hoyer bet all his chips that last year's failure was due to poor managing. Enough of us were saying just that. Personally I had come to accept Ross and was surprised when they made the move. But I have no problem with Counsell. At least when player isn't producing he does something about it, while Ross continued to "believe" in them.
@@cambium0 You're delusional. Counsell is literally sabotaging this team. He doesn't know what the hell he is doing. At least the players liked Ross and showed some fight for him. Everything is worse under Counsell. Open your eyes.
@@mizer9510 I think they both have issues as managers. But I don't think the manager can 'sabotage' the team to that extent. I see batters who are gun shy at the plate. that's what needs to be fixed. That and the bp
Which prospect to you want to see on the Cubs roster right now?
Cade, Triantos, or Davis
Cassie and Shaw and Triantos

This season is over. Cubs need to sell what they can and tank. Fire Hoyer, Hawkins, Willie Harris.

Or get hot and make the post season..
Tank in the mlb? What a bad take
@@bmla88, not really. Draft order is determined by record.
time to wait until moises ballesteros gets called up in a couple years
And we also Just signed Jorge Lopez I would call him up

There is no way to salvage this season. We'd need an entire bullpen. We'd need a real 3rd baseman. We'd need two reliable bats.

i want to see the el jaguar himself drive one out to waveland
Why is wisdom on this team?
He can hit homers. Counsell doesn't use him right.
I would LOVE to know this. He is horrible. Can’t hit homers. Cannot play defense!
@@aprilhk3281 Yes he can hit homers dummy
Great Show
No prospects can save this season. It’s over! But they deserve a shot to play to turn some heads for next year
Agree. If this season is a wash, might as well play the prospects
What happened with the pitcher that was signed this off season from Japan. Not Shota
😲🤨 I think you have that backwards, I know he's better, in my opinion, than Happ!!🧐
Fire Jed

Cade Horton, PCA, Owen Caissie, Matt Shaw have a chance to be all-stars. Not an Aaron Judge, but definitely all-stars
Come on Cubbies....pull the batt out your well you know and let's get them W's!!!!!
Are you kidding me ? They are burnt toast.
At least you guys are wearing your hats properly.
So we have Nick Madrigal V2, A struggling Blue Chip, An Injured Maybe Ace, and a few outfielders. Elite farm system
Brennen Davis. After all the crap he's been through he deserves it.
💯
Looked great prior to injury
Bring up the Kids. Get Rid of Happ and put Suzuki at DH. Someone want Bellinger? Good trade him!

I like all of it except Alcantar for a relief pitcher. He has the highest upside in the organization (for position players) IMO
To be perfectly honest, anyone that can made consistant contact, with power!!
Get rid of Neris……..
Yup
No it doesn’t matter. It’s time to sell off players
Yeah but, with no power, and a good clubhouse person doesn't help on the field!!

Canario has come up and looms overmatched! Anyone is better that Happ! Cannot stand HAPP
Dump Cuas and get up Lopez and see what he has!
They dumped Cuas yesterday
Why haven't they call up CJ Edwards? We need a shake up in the bullpen.
It’s a good question. He’s not a savior by any means, but he’s better than at least 3 guys in the current bullpen
🙄What about 2024!!??🧐
I'm sick of hearing "he's a clubhouse guy". Cubs are loaded with "clubhouse guys" and very average players! That's so overrated. I just want to win!
Cubs have too many country club guys. Making a fortune and not producing.
Sell these overpriced Crap players. Happ and Wisdom and Henricks need to go! Bellinger do not resign! Bring up Cassie and Shaw
Caissie and Shaw aren’t ready. But there are definitely others you can call up now
None. Because the Cubs refuse to use them.
