Think its worth pointing out that you can use multiples of the same epic. I have 2 10 star arcane hunters and working on a 3rd. Useful say for the special events or tower (forget exact name but you should know what I mean). I found Valkeryries to be quite good. Not got any epics to 200 yet as I'm still on the process of lvling my legendaries and I consider that a higher priority.
I'll always encourage ranking them up as then you can level them up higher sobthey ate stronger and more sturdy. Problem is thatvinnitially these not enough other troops to replace whats missing so you have to play smart. Remember you can always merge them later on and in the mean time focus on other aspects. Or make a risk and play from that. I usually do that, u will learn more about the game this way :)
Why is Golem Gold rank, seems like a pretty useless character when I was reading him. I would say Valkyrie in my experience has been better than Merman. Though am still new to the game. I think day 10 or something now. Cleric hasnt felt that great, got him early, but his heal seems lackluster. Can I ask, what would you play from these: Legendary: Elemental Witch, Berserker, Sylvan Sprite (5*), Water Maiden, Stone Hermit, Archangel Epic: Valkyrie (5*), Arcane Hunter (6*), Necro Rat (5*) x2, Verleaf (6*), Crabomancer, Merman (5*), Conductor (6*), Cleric (5*), Warrior Carriage (6*), Ninja Mole (6*), Golem, Mushroom Shield (x2), Abomination. As you might have noticed I have quite a few 'tanky' or Front line characters. My current team: Berserker, Elemental Witch, Sylvan Sprite, Water Maiden, Valkyrie, Merman, Necro Rat x2, Arcane Hunter, Crabomancer, Conductor, Verleaf. I think the team works decent, but I also think it could be better. Was using Carriage and Mole early on, dropped them when I got more other epics and legendary. Totally agree. On top of that Vals got boosted with injury now so I'm currently building mines to make a nice comparing clip :)

Is it better to use watermaiden alone or with clear?
Cleric heald the most damaged unit so it might not work. Verleaf will push with front line so best to use water maiden with water maiden
How many months you play top troops? I already have ymer on my troops but still do no have berserker😢
