It was also at the MADISON SQUARE GARDEN, in one of the biggest cities in the U.S.
I swear back in the late 90s there was a documentary with him singing this version live that was shown filming both him and the audiences reaction. I wish I could find it. I play this every year august 12th in memory of my brother because it moved us both to tears when we heard it

Unfortunately, this performance was not professionally recorded. Despite being one of his best by many accounts, either the colonel or the production crew chose not to professionally record it. Even though Elvis looked absolutely stunning, and sounded even BETTER.
