Actually rehman offered him all songs in his First movie Roza. Sanu and alka both rejected his offfer because he was a newcomer. And the album of roza was chartbusters. Alka yagnik told this story in one of her interviews.

He can only sing simple same type flat slow 'hey hey la la' copied romantic songs of 90's by copying Kishore Kumar from nose. His songs are copied from foreign music. For example, jab koi baat bigad jaaye is copied from english song '500 miles'. 'Neend churaayi meri' is copied from english song 'sending all my love'. 'Soldier soldier' song is copied from english song 'cherry cherry lady'.
He is flop and unemployed since past 25-30 years. Most people today listen music on music platforms like spotify, wynk, gaana, youtube music, jio savan, apple music. Kumar Sanu is not even in top 20 on these platforms. Nobody listen music on raddio and casettes now.

No one disputes the greatness of Kishore or Rafi or even Udit, Sonu or Arijit but Sanu was a stop gap nasal singer who is not considered great by many. Kishore died at his peak and Sanu with a copied style filled the void. Kumar Sanu's reign at the top was not that long like Rafi or Kishore or Udit . Sanu faded not because of Rahman but because Babul Supriyo, Abhijit, Roop kumar Rathod, Shaan and even Sonu Nigam at times could sing similar songs. Kumar Sanu is a Padmashri but Udit is Padma Bhushan. So Udit won the battle of longevity and sung beautifully with an original voice.

ARR's melodies are timeless. I can give you at least 100 songs of ARR in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam that are deeply melodious, soft, soothing, evergreens. And by the way, KS praised ARR recently on Indian Idol and praised ARR's song Agar Tum Saath Ho from Tamasha. ARR's mastery of rhythms doesn't take away anything from his melodic genius as well.

He can only sing simple same type flat slow 'hey hey la la' copied romantic songs of 90's by copying Kishore Kumar from nose. His songs are copied from foreign music. For example, jab koi baat bigad jaaye is copied from english song '500 miles'. 'Neend churaayi meri' is copied from english song 'sending all my love'. 'Soldier soldier' song is copied from english song 'cherry cherry lady'.
He is flop and unemployed since past 25-30 years. Most people today listen music on music platforms like spotify, wynk, gaana, youtube music, jio savan, apple music. Kumar Sanu is not even in top 20 on these platforms. Nobody listen music on raddio and casettes now.
