Great tip on placing the name on the stick. I germinate most of seeds this way but simply write the name of seed on the paper towel (before moistening it). I like your method better because on occasion, the name I wrote on the paper towel blurred. Thank you.
Currently germinating variety of lettuce, pok chow, sweet pepper, hot pepper &tomato. I will try the paper towel method for my next batch of plants. Thanks for sharing.
I'm attempting to germinate some tree seeds with this method because i forgot to plant them outside in October 😅 i've got wisteria, empress, acer, black cherry and jacaranda seeds, lets see if this works!!! Thanks for the lovely video x
Planting a lot of flowers this year many not sprouting going to try this method. To be fair to some they do say "expired". But this way I'd be able to know right away if they will work and not have to waste time wondering over soil.
It depends if the seeds need light or dark to germinate but most seeds need sunlight to germinate so placing the seeds in a well lit area would be good.
I know this response is 8 months late; however, if I may, the top of a refrigerator is often is great place as the heat dissipated is good for germination.
@@nichmon3221 I use a plastic container about 2 to 3 inches high with a tight lid. humid cocopeat only and leave in the dark until germination takes place , then gradual sunlight. When true leaves come out transfer in a pot .Good luck.
What seeds are you germinating?
Hibiscus,...or at least TRYING. Please tell me how to prevent the seeds from molding in the paper towel.
Cannabis

Thanks. Yes I tried last year to write on the paper towel... I will never do it again. All that was left was a rainbow of colours 😂

Great! It's really easy to do 😊 I have to germinate my cucumbers, zucchini and some other plants in April 😊

Do we need to water the paper towel ( seeds inside ) daily until we see the sprouts ?

Yes sometimes seeing the seed sprouting is wonderful because you don't have to wonder if it will come out or not :D
Do they germinate better in the dark or in light?

Would you please send a video related to fruit seeds such as apple, grape, plum, prune, and cherry. Waiting for your response
I have a cabinet over the top of my refrigerator. I wonder if that would be a good place to put the seeds to germinate

I can not seem to get parsnips to germinate, the only way I have been successful was with this method. Awesome sprouting!
That's great!
Is there a video, how to go on?
ZIP LOCK BAGS ARE NOT RECOMMENDED BECAUSE ONCE THE SEEDS GERMINATE THEY DO NOT HAVE THE REQUIRED SPACE INSIDE .
What do YOU recommend then, please? When I use seed trays, it seems that the soil won't stay moist. I cannot get any seeds to sprout.
