A band must evolve to stay true and organic. Trent has done that masterfully with the macro evolution to OST. Simply an outstanding individual with so much achieved from persistence and dedication. An example of a human being, everything you want, you can achieve. Now he’s married, many kids, happy, Oscar winning, golden globe winning, Grammy winning, Emmy winning, all around great artist. #TeamFeznor
The fragile and with teeth are definitely. The "BEST" albums, when talking quality of the songs, all the little bits and pieces layered in, great recording, great mixing, etc... But for me as much as I like those 2, and as special as a place as pretty hate machine holds in my heart, the sheer emotional chaos and raw from the gut sound of The Downward Spiral will always be king.
I can't believe that I have snob NIN for like 3 decades! 3 Looong full Decades to finally discover the majesty and plenitude of songs like ''All the love in the world, Besides you in time, In the great below'', and many more!!! Jezus! The deepness of music never cease to amaze me and I am sure some of those mega-rock-star, full of money and crazy-fanatics-fans, still have those sleepless nights walking in circle in their living rooms in their millions dollars mansion, just freaking out in the face of death coming for of us all and most probably, for the human kind in general...
The live version sounded even better to me than the studio version when I'd listen to With Teeth live recordings in '05, which was surprising since I nearly always prefer a studio sound.
I love this set list, I think this era of nine inch nails was brilliant, the electronic aspects are great. This can be summed up with the final two tracks of both With Teeth and Year Zero.
It’s laughable to see how many bands & music industry pros recoil at the idea of posting concert content on sites like this. I spent 23yrs doing Front-of-House mixing & System engineering in live music production, and honestly, this makes me WANT to spend money on seeing this band live or buying an album. If only the sound quality was better..... MUCH MUCH better. But that goes with ALL RUclips music content! Seriously, they should make a bid-ass RUclips channel that specializes in live concert content but with EXCEPTIONAL audio quality directly from the mixing console & a 2nd stereo channel set for synchronized audience/room ambience sounds. But retain ALL original dynamics & FOH mixdown only. Sure there’s channels of that description, but they ALL SUCK!! Every single one has been “mixed-down” for TV viewing! Which is shit. No dynamics, tin-can tonality, and a bring every instrument channel to the center/middle soundstage while pushing lead vocals out front 80%. WORTHLESS for anyone not listening on their phone. Just my thoughts of no value, but 100% hubris driven opinions of an American.... woohoo! Still, great vid!
Been listing and watching this video repeatedly for the past year. One of my favorite NiN albums. Brings back such good memories. Thank you for posting!
likewise! (particularly the first 20-30 secs🕺🏻)🤣 Jokes aside, Pirate Stahlion did an absolutely amazing job here in piecing this together and creating a superb "wish list set" of a perfect "with teeth concert experience"! Thank you, Pirate Stahlion
The reason why he edited all this random clips from different live nin shows is because Trent has never played sunspots live he said he doesn’t want to strain his voice that much and the audio you hear for sunspots is from a rehearsal I believe so
@@maxgallagher2535 penance soiree is one of my favorite albums ever and I was so pumped when Aaron joined...it's such a bummer how it all ended up...i hope he's found his way and is doing ok these days, last I heard he was trying to get into standup or something
The Line Begins to Blur was the one song out of the NIN catalog, that I always thought was better as a studio track... Until I heard this live version.
I regret not being able to see this era of Trent and NIN live. Unfortunately life happens and I wasn't able to catch him. I was at the Gorge in 00 for their stop there for The Fragile Tour. And I never thought he could top that performance. And I don't mean musically. I mean stylistically, creativity and especially visually of his stage show. It looks like I was wrong...
I went to Erie and Cleveland for the with teeth tour and in was so amazing. I sat next to a guy in the box seats and he shared a joint with me. I got so fucking high that I was just enthralled in the lights. Pretty sure it wasn't all weed lol.
Eagle Rock, their label during With Teeth/BYIT. even some of the footage I found open source that *wasn't* their footage, they were claiming over and over when I was trying to post this and forcing me to delete and make changes
it's a collection of stuff mainly from 2005-2006 with live versions of selections from With Teeth and other stuff from that era. some very special performances including Voodoo Fest from 2005 with Saul Williams, some guest appearances and collaborations with Peter Murphy and TV on The Radio
Different strokes, I suppose. I really like the backup singers, though they were only there for one tour. You should check out this video from the latest tour. All pro audio, and it's where they went back to their 90s style ruclips.net/video/wg2v5vjz_H8/видео.html
@@TheDistressedSetlist I'd listen to all those throw away tracks to hear Happiness in Slavery. It's just shame Robin doesn't do his solo near the end in these recent performances.
saw 11 With Teeth shows, still my favorite live shows ever...
With teeth tour was my 2nd show & first outside show. C-bus ohio. With teeth is Flippin great
Dang, I saw 3 in 4 days and thought that was badass lol. 11 would have been amazing
I've never seen them live. I'm so jealous.
I can't imagine how satisfying it must be to play that simple bass line pounding super loud in a big stadium. Sounds so freaking huge.
which one? with teeth?
Sunspots I bet
With teeth doesn't get nearly as much credit as it deserves in terms of his best
Proud with Trent and NIN, listening them since pretty hate machine. For me with teeth and fragile are their best albums

Yeah, two of my favorites! But I respect each for their own merits. Always evolving and always on point!

Welcome to the NIN club! Trent is a musical genius
Thanks RUclips algorythm for this 🙏🏼

Took a 12 year break listening to NIN until this album was released.
I took a quick listen and I think I'll take another 12 years off.
Not the best recording....but this is my favorite album along with phm
Love love love and the with teeth line up has my favorite buddy in the whole world Jeordie
Always felt this was their peformative peak
You know what you are was absolutely fabulous
Thank you for making me re discover this album.
I always like it less than the others but it's so good.
Front to back, it's my favorite with phm

💯 agree and I have never mixed music. I'm just an everyday audiophilic NIN fan.
Dude, I get you completely. It's in the details, few people get that.
Damm! That version of "With Teeth" is absolutely gorgeous.
Thank you 🙏 that version of la Mer moved me to tears it's absolutely beautiful
Great compilation. I’m lucky to have seen them twice during this era 🤘🏼
Great gig! Thx for uploading and sharing it.
I love all of their gigs, even though I haven't been lucky enough to hear them live, here in Roma, Italy.
Amazing!! Thank you so much for doing this, you my friend ROCK.

Wow now I think about it This guy can use a real live video of sunspots since NIN has played it live now
That edit of sunspots had me dying lol 😆- never seen the Getting Smaller one though. Thx.

Damn 'Know What You Are' should've sounded like this on the album, rough edges and weirder effects. Album version is so clean and proper.
Legendary.
Awesome edit man!
Brilliant.
Trenty loves that Tambourine doesn't he? lol
Lol Trenty
This version of Home throws me off so much
Killer!!
Great! Thanks
one hell of a thumbnail
Thank you Mr. Pirate Stahlion
Aww yeeah
cheers
anyone have video of October 17, 2005 in Dallas,TX?
❤
Nice
I saw 3 shows on this tour. What venue did Trent join Bauhaus for those few songs? If you can remember. Thanks.
I'm pretty sure he did in Atlanta... I was like 4 rows back from the front, center, with my then girlfriend... a truly awesome show

What show is ‘Final Solution’? Anyone knows, thx.
I wish I had the whole story of what happened with Aaron in the end
Fuckin cool!!!
If they played sunspots first time this year - what concert is that?
That's audio of them rehearsing it in 2005 with other video cut together
Jerome Dillon!
who the fuck give an unlike to this

No closer. No March of the Pigs. No Hey Pig. WTF is this shit?
Hmm... maybe because those are from The Downward Spiral and this is With Teeth? 🙃
Someone didn't read the title of the video?
Hey Pig isn't a song ;)
This is legit the dumbest comment I’ve ever seen on RUclips not even lying 😂
This dumbass hit thumbs down.
