- Magic Railroad has been one of my main inspirations for a LOONG time and since it’s the 24th anniversary of the movie today, I thought it’d be fun to take a look at an iceberg chart relating to the film. This is a remaster of an older video from a year ago where I did the same thing, but that one SUCKS so I redid it!

Ngl... this is way better than the one you made a while back, so good job. I think Magic railroad did okay with Thomas, sure the critics didn't like it and the budget plopped. I just think with the director's cut being added, it made this movie 100% sense. Also, they used the Amtrak station where they filmed Lily getting on the train.

@@joshuaW5621 He's right I don't live in the UK I'm from the US because the movie came out on July 26 in the United States it was pretty much 24 years for me and for other TTTE fans that live in North America I also know the movie was released on July 14 in the United Kingdom

Happy anniversary, hopefully we’ll see a vcd rip soon of the finalised version of the directors cut next in 2025 for the 80th anniversary like other lost media.

My favorite fact that I learned while researching for my TTTE iceberg is that Bob Hoskins (of Who Framed Roger Rabbit Fame) and Ewan McGregor expressed interest in voicing Thomas for the movie before Eddie Glen was chosen

I think if George’s plot was in the movie it would have been better. Plus it would give the Sodor characters more screen time scenes it was one of the major criticisms of the movie. I love TATMR no matter what anyone says. My favorite parts are Diesel 10, the score, the voice cast(accept James), and Splodge. I think the reason Diesel 10 was singing nursery rhymes was Neil Crone(idk how his last name is spelled)adding comedy to the film.
UP 844 only portrayed the Rainbow Sun in Shining Time Station. For TATMR they used Norfolk & Western #475.

11:28 Little correction: the face was not made during TaTmr, and was instead made during Series 4, as revealed from the face sheets taken at that time. The SIF interview with Robert Gauld-Galliers also mentions how it was David Mitton specifically who laughed when he was on set.
The Thomas moments made me like the movie.

As much as I cherish Magic Railroad, the movie should have Nothing to do with Shining Time or magic.
I think P.T. Boomer would've worked as the first human villain, but I don't like the way he was written

Some fans theorized MRR take place in S2 - however, I can't buy this cause when you look at the scripts and the movie itself, there's some S4-5 characters that appear in it and how would it explain phones and laptops during a previous time-period of the series?

This is probably one of the good questions whatever happened to your Diesel 10 falling intro's used to do a lot of those intros and I enjoyed them a lot so will you ever bring them back?

Honestly the directors cut wouldn’t have saved the movie as the theatrical had a lot of messes, now imagine 3 other storylines with adult lily, a backlash montage and an utterly pointless villain. The one thing they shouldn’t have changed are the VA’s though
Just in case you're looking for the worst thomas episode, I have a few suggestions. i can only find 3 of them, because there are a lot of bad thomas episodes. But, yeah.
Option 1: Thomas the Quarry Engine
Option 2: The Other Side Of The Mountain
Option 3: Thomas's Shortcut.

Sure, the few scenes where Thomas was being a stupid idiot were dumb because of how Thomas and Gordon's dynamic was portrayed is upsetting and Thomas thinks the workmen who tried to stop him were cheering for him was too Season 1 Thomas. The scared Henry scenes were unnecessary, Duck saying Donald and Douglas had been gone forever seems a bit much, the trend of engines using their crews as tools is still stupid, and how Sailor John moved the pirate ship from the harbor to the hill was unexplained. But it's still a good movie. The REAL worst Thomas movie is Misty Island Rescue!
@@dylanlyles9453 i didn't choose that because of thomas's actions! I only chose it because, it was a random guess. And again, I believe that it wasn't thomas's fault in his last 2 incidents too!

I love thomas and the magic railroad and I’ve considered this movie canon and I don’t care what those critics say but I still think this movie is better than the banana splits horror movie you see thomas and the magic railroad is a childhood movie done right and the banana splits horror movie is a childhood movie done wrong as a horror movie that ruins childhoods everywhere

Honestly when you think of trains you think of the term railroad so when making the movie the chose railroad because it would confuse people in the us which to be honest that's my personal opinion as to why it is called magic railroad and not magic railway i perfer railway of railroad

But at least we had Michael White to bring out some episodes that aren't that bad I don't have any problems with considering the mass Cannon (especially the Michael White ones) now all engines go don't have its own Michael
White or even Andrew Brenner so it's very unlikely that you'll find an AEG episode that is so good it can be considered as Cannon to the source material even if you're just trying to compare it to the early CGI series or the later model series
