The constructive criticism of lyrical content is VERY valid. This has been the problem with Baby Monster's rap lyrics and even Blackpink's rap lyrics from the start. Appreciate the honesty from you for real.
Its gotten old. Theyre done the "Im rich, I'm pretty" thing to death. And the choruses are getting worse and worse. One or two words don't make a chorus.
The girls can sing/rap but their songwriters suck.
Let me add this. The arrangement is TERRIBLE.
Just stick to one damn genre and throw that yG oUtRo in the trash bin.

That's why i always hate full english songs by kpop artist because with the rap verses in korean they can play with words better than the 2nd language.

Rami was beyond outstanding on this...i did not expect that from her at all and im all for it cause she ate with such lowkey ferocity!! the attitude she brought literally took it to another level....Asa is a problem, if it isnt known she is a problem she is only going to get more and more insane, Ahyeon & Ruka easily in their elements, Chiquita, Rora & Pharita, i love what they did in the chorus, wish they got more parts tho, overall BaeMon is exciting cant wait for the full album which is well out now lol

I feel this especially since they’ve been shown writing their own lyrics before so I feel like if they were given more opportunities to write their own raps it would be better

Rappers rap about harsdships in life, they barely had enough time on this earth to get a lot of hardships or even real life experience due to their trainee years.
Rappers rap about their hood, it's pretty clear those girls have no hood, it would sound dishonest.
Rappers rap about emotions like depression, I would STRONGLY hope that they do not have that, especially being so young and having a goal.
Rappers rap about how they eat up everyone, they barely debuted, they cannot say that, especially with big rappers in kpop as well.
Rappers rap about their body and certain actions that don't need further explaination why BM cannot do that
So they obviously went the wealth-way, the same many rappers do. Is it ideal, no. But their age is actually a problem, not only because what's appropriate or not but because rap has a lot to do with life experience which they don't have much. So it's actually good that they have a rap song without offending anyone or being dishonest

This song has turned me off them. None of their title tracks are that good. After hoping they'd give them something decent, I'm tired of waiting. Its always about how much money they have with dumb bars and one word choruses. The girls have talent but YG is misusing them.

CLIKCLAK is just an introduction, DRIP is the title. However, the entire Kpop industry produces commercial songs in their titles, if you want something more identifiable you need to listen to the B-side too. 🤣
'Clik Clak' is the intro to the album, like 'Monsters' intro track in the previous album, but was released to introduce Drip.
This M/V has so much swag, they are ultra bosses in it. All the girls kill it. But Asa is next level, still owns.

The beat switch-up at the end is probably because Babymonster's CEO said that CLICK CLACK is interestingly connected to their other song DRIP dropping tomorrow at 1 PM KST. So, maybe the switched-up beat is gonna be DRIP's beat.

Its always interesting hearing how Koreans hate how their artist are too americanized but then we (Americans) tend to not like the overly cutesy almost cartoonish concepts. Thats why black-pink was the perfect mix of both. It’s hard to duplicate. For one reason or another it’s not translating with babymonster. It’s sad bc they are suuuuper talented with so much potential.

The lyrics in their songs genuinely make me upset bcus I cant stand meaningless lyrics and the girls are way more talented then that. The lyrics they are given makes it hard for them to be taken seriously (at least for me). I wish yg would realize you can have a badass concept and song without putting the lyrics through a random generator of meaningless materialistic words. Not to mention you can be badass without saying you are better then everyone and having lyrics putting down others for not being as famous or rich as you which in my opinion also doesnt make sense since the group literally just debut. I hate most of blackpinks lyrics but at least them singing those same lyrics are actually the truth bcus they are rich and the most famous girl group.
Its also so annoying bcus Asa and Ruka have shown before that they can write their own lyrics (meaningful ones) from predebut. Theres just so much missed opportunities with them bcus they are so talented

you're right about the English lyrics, they need someone better writing the English bars and coaching the girls up(because they do write a lot of their own bars). Does it though? Jackson Wang was even better at rapping in GOT7 than most of these girls are and he wasn't even a real rapper but just used as a rapper by JYP. YG did the same to most of these girls who clearly have no real talent when it comes to rapping. These young girls should be used on their strengths, not their weaknesses and for a lot of them it showed with this song that rapping is one of their weaknesses.

Babymonster rappers can show more than that. Yg needs to give them good decent rap lines. Especially to Asa.
