How many people agree that George Halas is the first name true fans think about when it comes to referencing the Chicago Bears, then Walter Payton? God Bless George Halas aka the Papa Bear!
@@michaelkawell3300 True, but the first name that pop to any Bears fans would be George Halas. I would make the argument that Payton is second, Sayers, Butkus third and fourth. Red Grange is another along with Sid Luckman, Bronko Nargski. The rest depends of generation.
People have to realize that 100 years ago it was College Football that was the game fans loved. It took a while for the Pro Game to shine. But he had the faith and courage to make it happen!
Of all the superlatives can be said about George S. Halas! The one that sticks in my mind the most! Is when Vince Lombardi & Papa Halas would meet at center of the field and shake hands, Vince Lombardi called Him Coach! . End of Story!
Halas was instrumental in Lombardi going to Green Bay. What owner today would be the conscious of the competitiveness of the league and his team's biggest rival?
R.I.P Pappa Bear 🐻 thanks for creating my football team a legacy

@@0fficialdregs Who is the 4th one, Walter Payton?
@@the1magageneral323 Gale Sayers.
What a tribute to an absolute legend

The Papa Bear is the NFL.
There should be more content out here on Halas
Watching this before Caleb Williams' debut tomorrow is really something. 🐻⬇️
Thank you, Papa Bear!
They show McNally as a Bear, he never played for the Bears, he was a Packer HOFer.
Love it
