When you start to fly with the Swan do not touch your controls during the flight. The Swan will guide you in the sky. You can move your camera around, but any WASD movement seems to cancel it. Press F when it's prompted. Continue to soar and not touch any buttons and when you land you should be able to continue and complete the quest!

I groomed and glided even took pictures in the air (2-3 times) yet this was still not accomplished as completed
that happened to me, but i think at a certain point when the soar button pops up, just click and let it lead to the cutscene
