Maybe I'm confused but I've also heard that new outdrives can make the rear end softer. The reason being that some wear creates mechanical bind between the outdrive and dog bone.
That is actually true, new outdrives often do have less friction. SInce making this video I have studied the subject more and what I say on the video about this is not entirely accurate. The effect still plays itself the way said on the video but the explanation is a bit off. New driveshafts generally have less friction but they also have less play. This makes the feel on power more jumpy and the car feels harder to control on power. The car doesn't settle down as well and will feel more slippery. I assumed this was due to the fact that the low amount of play made it very stiff but that is really not true. Its the fact that the driveshafts have less friction that makes the car not settle hence reducing the grip.
@@maxmortrc Can you tell me plz which one are lighter? i bought fioroni ones and now that i have them in Hand, i think they are heavier ...i dident think about that when i clicked on "buy" 😕
@@Electrojudaz They are very brand dependant. I don't have experience with fioroni. At least revolution designs diff cases I believe should be lighter than stock
2 years later, still good info.

Good basic info Max!
More of these!
Max, what do you think about Aluminium case differentials?
If they are lighter which some are I think they are going to be better. Otherwise no real difference.
