Never saw combat but I honor and thank all of our Vietnam veterans...as I honor and thank all of our troops. As did so many allied combattants from numerous other theatres of operation - Australians, NZ's, Indians, South Africans, and many others too numerous to mention. We owe them a debt of grattitude that can never be paid, but one we must continue to value and try to make ourselves worthy of, particularly in the face of the evil that still pervades this world. Currently there can be no more relevant a threat than the despot in the Kremlin! We will remember them and we must never relinquish our guard to allow such evil to profit again!

They sure as hell were the best. They went through hell to become the best and they proved that they could be relied on to get the job done. These men will never be forgotten for the service they did to this country if not the world because many never came back alive. Thank you, Easy Company. R.I.P.

Sends shivers down the back . The hell they seen and lived through , only those who were there could understand . . A respect and all as one for each other . Described by spears is exactly right . The mindset as it has to be . . Winters , one of the most respectful decent people so humble and caring protective of his men . Total respect to all who served in all the allied forces around the world . . . Lest we shall forget . . .

I have watched this series so many times since it's release. When i first seen it it was on dvd and i watched 3 times in a row. Likeable characters, realistic (i think) war situations, horror, loneliness, comradeship, fear, shock. Such an astonishing account of people we just don't thank enough, no matter what country you are from.

These were the young mens liberating my country, giving their lives. I still ask myself who gave the 56 "thumbs down".
They were normal citizen before "Uncle Sam" called them. They gave everything....their live.
This is depicted in the best war movie of all times. Everyone should watch it to understand the times of 44/45.
I always think about them....when I stand in front of the war grave of my grand-uncle. Someone I have never seen, but were told a lot about him. He was killed...19 years old in Normandy...believing in his cause, as the men of Winters did`.
    Lets honour this young men!

These are the men who inspire me, I was too wild and delinquent to serve. I went to prison instead of enlisting. I volunteered when released. Was almost 30 years old. Was rejected. Too many indeacresions as a youth. I still try to love by the example these men laid before me. Honor, sacrifice, courage and duty, humility. It's what we should all strive for. To be the best, by example so we can create better world for our children and our children's children.
