I would still take Big Vic. I think he's got another strong season or 2 in him. Would need another Defensive Midfielder with more longevity though. When Brendan came back there were those talks about Ndidi. Someone of that stature is highly doubtful. Doesn't mean we can't find another powerhouse who's less established just now. Seems to be a lot of potential in the Irish Bhoy in our youth department.
I digress. Couldn't agree more HH

We need to address the scales/taylor problem as we’ve known for years. We also need to sort out our midfield . McGregor playing there is not working against better opposition. Then we need more creativity and power in midfield, more guile and a new striker. So…quite a lot imo.

We are a bit of a one trick pony and Huns have figured us out. I think after Dortmund , BR showed against Atalanta and to some extent Zagreb that when he respects the opponent he changes the setup to be a bit more conservative. I think he thought we would gub the Huns and it backfired. As much as KT and Jota would be great to have back , a tall physical CDM to help Calmac and a plan B that breaks the press is much needed.

Fans think of him under Ange, that's been 2 seasons can't keep a player due to playing well in that time. It's like the Huns wanting to keep Tav cause he was brilliant in 20/21

    • @jackjones1249
      @jackjones1249 16 дней назад

@@liammckeown9167 The service has been poor. Both wingers cut inside or backwards and dont hit the byline and cross the ball. Kyogo makes runs constantly and the midfield ignore it to recycle possesion. We dont get the ball forward quick enough. The one time we did it aginst rangers kyogo scored but was just offside. Kyogo is a goood player but needs to be used properly. We probaly need a number 10 or a more creative player as we havent replaced Oriley.

Hard to say it, but Callum is just not good enough against teams which close him down. He can't take a ball and drive forward these days, and he doesn't get forward passes into Kyogo or Idah often enough.

Rogers has said that he’s looking for a speedy and powerful winger, that’s his main priority. However, we need a lot more, we need a left back, centre back if Trusty isn’t trusted (no pun intended ), creative midfielder and midfield enforcer, we’re powder puff with zero steel in the team. Our biggest issue is the lack of creativity, we have zero in the squad, that would be my top priority. If I never see Hatate again, it will be too soon, he’s an absolute imposter

I also think that while there is obvious ability there and he has had some very good spells while here, if decision was mine and there really is a 10M offer for Kyogo then I would take it. I get that even with him turning 30 in a fortnight its not exactly ancient but given the huge variations in his form that money could be reinvested in someone easily as good and considerably younger, we are highly unlikely to see an offer like that for him in future that's for sure

Taylor's never signing a new deal; I've thought for ages he's waiting for a mid-table Championship team, and tbf, left backs are always a "nice to have". Unless we hear from his agent, he should be on the bench at best. We've paid for a loan of Valle; use him. Same with $5 million Trusty - he must have done a Bad Thing ... off a HT in the LCF, benched since.
Needs for January: a LB or two, winger, a centre forward, and a midfielder who likes a tackle. Easy 🙂

Rangers did not play well, it was a case of Celtic being atrocious with no idea how to create a chance in the game and diabolical defending. £26 Million and they can’t get a start (Idah, Engels & Trusty) - I wouldn’t trust BR with anymore money and today we’re getting a guy that’s always injured - brilliant planning. The manager had no plan of even attempting to win that game yesterday - damage limitation then he can come out afterwards and blame the players he picked and STILL gave them another 20mins of the 2nd half when everyone could see it wasn’t happening. Incompetence, Arrogance and his Ego wouldn’t allow him to change things. We’ve been bang average for weeks and it finally bit us on the arse yesterday .

--> I'm torn about KT. Of course, it's exciting news. But, a long-term solution needs to be found there. It seems like he'd only be coming Celtic to rehabilitate his reputation. He's 27, so he's got just last time to try a move bigger league.

No he wasn’t thrown out the door.
He left for a better league and money. No problem with him coming back but let’s not pretend he was forced to leave.

@@Michael-n5y Heavier built i meant not fat ..Tierney is both a skinflint and easily injured which is not good enough . Scales also has to go hopeless ..Plus id like see Bk eh Rodgers he who walked for Leicester ..later sacked and back to celtic via his oirish m8 Dessie . Get Dessie oot a naw .

The drop off in form ? That culminated in the defeat at Ibrox is a concern , no question. Is St Mirren GBH pressing an ideal way to get back to our best ? Maybe it is , this group doesn't have many defeats against it , I believe we are about to see why. H H 🍀 🍀

    We don’t want Tierney
What is the matter with everyone.it’s a backward step ffs.everyone making out like we’re signing Messi for god’s sake.we don’t need him and we need to get rid of half the garbage we have
Any wonder we’re shit in Europe when we get excited about bringing Tierney back.absolutely unreal and not a good move
