Not sure if the car was, but if that was the rust belt those things would be much harder to remove and even harder to remove the bearing from the spindle. Great job improvising.....it's always nice to have a lift though.
Im afraid i dont believe thst yoi were able to shift the bottom two bolts with a 10mm spanner. And ive yet to see a carrier come oit with a couple of rwists by hand. How about you tell how you actually did tge job please?

You are correct it did have some rust on it but not bad.

The two lower screws you will not be able to tighten with sufficient force because the torque wrench will not fit.
@armi8654 Yes was too close but I was able to do the top and tighten the crap out the bottom ones.
These cars are nightmares to find parts for and work on. I'll never buy another one
@handlehandlebars they can be sometimes. they have a couple of websites you can get parts from. one is autohauosaz.com
