Nice, well balanced review and thanks for not knocking those who can afford one. Many will have worked really hard to do so and, for some, a new Aston from the factory is a childhood dream. There are 2 Ferrari's and 10,200 Porsches on the road - for every Aston Martin...
Not sure if I agree with the "Similar Models" at the end. Those are full on supercars, whereas the Vanquish is a Gran Tourer. Would be better to mention the Maserati Gran Turismo or Bentley Continental GT in my honest opinion.
Not necessarily. People, even the rich, tend to study a car before they actually buy it. So what do they do to study it? Look at reviews, tours, stats, etc. Not all rich people are ignorant.
you could pretty much get a lamborghini aventador for that price! if you had the money, which one would you get, Lamborghini Aventador, or Aston Martin Vanquish? reply on my comment please.
a lamborghini is a boys car, making you look like a douche. An Aston is a piece of art, it's sophisticated and classy using methods of design Lenardo da vinci used painting Mona Lisa. So yeah, i would choose an Aston, every day of the year.
To the people who purchase these cars price means absolutely nothing, It comes down to each specific persons taste. I would go for the Vanquish however this is a disgusting looking one, for me it's the original grey/silver. with black interior. And of course no soft top.
This Aston Martin is for posing really, and for bedding top totty. The reality is that it is not at all a fast nor is it a good handling car, but it is a 'gentleman's' car, I guess. Rather than pay a hefty $300K for that I would plum in for a low hour Robinson R22 piston helicopter - it'll get you there quicker and having a helicopter licence makes you feel far more superior than some random bod in a good looking but otherwise fairly useless four-wheeled marque. Plus you have the advantage of REALLY looking down on the masses. I am a broker for helicopters and can source the right machine for you anywhere in the world from $200K to $15 million - so if you are in the market for one, just holler. :)
I see these car at b -jackson auction all the time am not very impresse with them I guess young white guys that can't afford one love them.much perfere my Bentley gt.
I can buy 1 Aston Martin with this money. What's your point? Not all money has to be spent on the poor. Most of them are lazy people, and why spend your money and time on lazy people?
Vitaly, your wrong. Most poor people never have the opportunity. Where as the rich--had rich parents--most of the time. Get your facts right. Buy the car to enjoy while also helping the poor. Figure, you could do both if you can afford this car. The balance between doing something for yourself or doing something for others..
Matt Whiteside Most poor people don't bother searching for one. They'd rather complain and expect a miracle to happen. All I'm saying, is that I'd pick the Aston over donating to charity. Why waste hard earned money if you can spend it in a way that would be more pleasing? You can balance, I suppose, but I wouldn't donate to the poor. I'd donate to people with illnesses.
Although I understand where you are coming from but you have a misconception of what poor really is. In your mind, you are seeing those who live in a country with opportunity--in this instance--the U.S. And yes, in some cases they are those that are lazy but not all. But the real poor in the world are those in foreign nations that never had a chance. That just need the simple necessities like food and water. Balance in life is crucial, you must give but also live pleasurably. Personally I want the car--it was the reason I was on the youtube video in the first place. But if by some odd reason I could only choose 1 of the 2. I would choose to help the poor. And I hope some day you will too
Matt Whiteside Matt, I see your point. Seriously, I do. But I want to see the result, so that's the reason I donate money to people who need emergency surgeries, and so on. Actually, I live in the UK, although I'm from Russia, where I've spent many years. I've been to many countries, such as Africa, most Asian countries and the States. And Europe, of course. Trust me, I've seen poor people, and I know what that's like. However, I believe illnesses deserve more attention, although I'm not talking about cancer. I'm speaking of kids being born with disabilities, and stuff like that.
Agreed! it is just more refined car in interior and exterior but the tech and driving experience is not far from some cheap cars in the 60,000 range! the Merc AMG E class will beat this car everywhere yet it is not as fine as this car in design and interior quality but cheaper by 200,000! i dont know i feel i wana sleep ...but the best part of it is the review of the guy ... he pointed out on things so honestly with no drama :)
if this guy got to keep these cars he would not be on youtube he would be driving them all the time
You simply approached aston in a way many more journalists should. Best aston martin review ive seen in a long time, hands down
Amen to that.
True, most of them get overwhelmed and excited. The only other guy who's this brilliant and brutal is Cooley on CNET.
Great review. I like your takes on the car and the wealthy who can afford it. Truly a dream machine!

What a car !!!
This car is way nicer than my baseball glove.
if you got money to buy this car, you not wasting time on youtube.

IAmKidPain Yep, I bought one 3 weeks ago, but only after watching a lot of reviews.
***** You have great tastes in cars.
Elegant stylish and nice.....
What kind of covoc do you have? Year? Model? Si? Mugen?
2000 Si (aka the best one you could get in the States)
You should do a review on it. :)
Matthew Decker ha! Google Hooniverse Civic Si and you'll see why it's not exactly ready for something like that.
Jeff Glucker, i see now why it isn't up for a review...its a project! :)

Nice !
""its like a high end baseball glove!!"" .....ffs
Cratz
Hey! Aston Martin ripped of the Ford Fusion grill !!! :p LOL!
This is a supercar for when you don't want people gawking at you, ie Ferrari or Lamborghini.
you could pretty much get a lamborghini aventador for that price!

If u drive this car in poor rainy countries, you will never open that soft top!
top of the car is english great & stylish
Am I alone in hating the look of carbon fibre>? it reminds me of old school racing flag checks. Btw, im finding the 2014 Austin Martin range UGLY As!
The Wednesday car XD
I would rather have a ferrari f12 over this one
weird steering wheel shape
4k pounds is 2 tons ;)
“It weighs 4100lbs and that’s a Ton” 😂 no
And that's a ton? Really, more like two tons.
I prefer the Bentley Continental GT to this car.
They're very different. The Continental is cool, but it's a bit more conservative, while the Aston is much more aggressive and sporty.
I wouldn't say aggressive , but more elegant and just amazing to look at. Where as Bentley is just good to look T while your inside it.
Wahab .Goldsmith Perhaps. Although Bentleys look more conservative to me because of their more round styling.
I see these car at b -jackson auction all the time am not very impresse with them I guess young white guys that can't afford one love them.much perfere my Bentley gt.
I can feed 300.000 poor & hungry people with this money .

No it's not worth 300,000

buy a new c7 corvette string ray and give 250k to a deserving charity you can the same thrill!
is it worth it for 200K? Of course not. It is overpriced, period.
Did you check out that shitty stitched paddle shifter @ 1:03? Oh btw its $300K
sounding a little jealous Markus....perhaps you simply cannot afford it.lol
This is not a review at all.
