Thank you for your ministry, it is helping us so much. We have 9 children, 6 still living at home and 14 grandchildren some who are here through the week. So we have a lot of laundry everyday, I wash 6 sometimes 7 days a week to stay on top of it because if you let a couple of days pass then you'll have mount washmore 😂. We have 3 hampers in the bathroom, one for work clothes for my husband and two oldest sons who work and then one hamper for color clothes and another one for white clothes. I love an empty hamper even if it's only for 5 minutes 😂 Also of you don't wash daily, clothes become very stinky and starts developing mildew. I've got the dress to shoes, bed making down still working on shining sink and swishing and swipping.
I learned from you too sort things as they get dirty. I have a separate place for towels, another place for dirty rags/mop heads, my clothes, my hubby's clothes, and sheets come off the bed and go back on the bed the same day. As soon as I have a load of any of those things, it gets washed. My family has shrunk down to 2. But I did the same thing when I had a family of 4 also. My dryer doesn't keep rolling when they're done. I just take one thing out of the dryer, fold or hang it (I have a rack to hang things on next to my dryer.) Then I put it all away. Easy.
A laundry basket on the closet floor? That is something I have been thinking about, and now I learn that you have two in your closet. Sounds like a good plan to me because I had a hamper in the corner of my bedroom and I have been thinking about how I could free up floor space. So now, I need to go out and buy a new laundry basket. I did three loads of laundry today: Undies because I was running low on clean ones; bathroom rugs, and then, towels because it's Zone 3 this week. Thanks for the motivation!
Laundry is definitely made easier one or two a day and sorting.
