Oh no - I hate to see you upset! Please remember you have helped a lot of people, & will help many more. My thoughts are that people are living with a lot of overwhelm & financial issues. It has NOTHING to do with you. Everyone’s doing the best they can & that’s what counts. Don’t give up Fly Lady, we still need you! ❤

I agree, she does deserve to monetize but I just had on a 35 minute video and there were no less than 6 ad breaks. That is too many. I don't mind ads, they're easy enough to deal with but when it's every few minutes it gets annoying. Idk, just my 2 cents that probably don't mean much 😂

Amen to all you said! I think a lot of people are overwhelmed with all the chaos in our country and our families and they’re tired. God bless you for how you have helped me raise my family. Homeschooled 6 children and took care of my mil for 10 years (dementia 😢) Now we are retired and I’ve helped my dh with routines. He’s learning! I pray everyday for the Spirit to help me be kind and sweet and we have a beautiful life! Hugs to you 💕💕💕 Thank you 🙏

I just love your show. So loving & honest & to the point. It has helped me Declutter my own house and my daughters when I’m over there watching my grandbabies. My daughters thank me all the time and I have learned to do what I’ve done to their house and keep it going and that’s all thanks to you. I’ve got one daughter that’s close to the Lord and the other one I’m trying to help to get back on the straight road. But I tell them little tricks and hints that I’ve learned from you and it really does help so keep up the good work I will continue to pray for you as I always do you truly are helping a lot of people. thank you so very much.

I love the Flylady principles and I love being reminded about habits that have gone by the way side for whatever reason. Last week I made my bed every day for the first time in months! Sometimes my sink is shiny and sometimes it's not! I try to swish and swipe most days, but I have never made it every day! Comparison is the thief of joy! So is perfectionism. So sorry you have been distressed by what has happened. I am subscribed and get all notifications. I know lots of others will, too, when they realize all the great advice you offer. I can say "swish and swipe" or "shiny sink" and make new friends cuz folks (men and women) know exactly what I am talking about! You have had a profound influence in people's lives. Thank you!

Angie, there's a way to keep your past routines ever present so you don't forget them when you go on to the next one. Write them down and put them where you can see them every day. check them off or put a star beside them when you have finished doing it. It makes you accountable to yourself and rewards you too. Hugs to you, (FlyCrew)

    • @angieallen4884
      @angieallen4884 Год назад

@@drpaddi Oh, well , thanks for that but the point of my comment to help people understand that "perfectionism" is not the aim here. Although, your idea of a star sticker chart (like I'm a child) seems to point toward to that!

And funny, but I knew how to do things and stay organized etc., but found it hard to keep up when family members needed help and I still worked. Your encouragement and inspiring words were a Godsend. I couldn’t do everything but I could do something. And i repeat so many of your sayings. Now since I never recovered and life got tough again, I found you. And I can do a few things and it’s good enough. Without you I might not do those few things. Don’t despair. I watch all your stuff but was very busy and unable to tune in as much. God bless you, Marla. 😊

The bicycle story made me cry. As a mom of two young adult sons (one still lives at home), this makes me so thankful for what I have. They, along with my husband, are the most precious people in the world to me. Thanks for the reminder to exercise more patience with them all, especially my husband who tends to get the brunt of my frustration from time to time. You never know when that kiss goodbye in the morning will be the last one. 😢

I'm in NY visiting. I'm watching the Playlist! But, I've been here with FlyLady before, so I've already gotten the basics down pat for years. I needed to come back bcz 1) during 2020 I bought too much stuff online. 2) my mom passed and I kept stuff from her stuff. I'm having trouble decluttering. I knew where to go. HERE! I'm happy to be here! Others will figure out that this is good! I've seen other organizing people... they all want a bunch of money to tell people the same things you're teaching us for free! YOU ARE THE BEST!!! ❤️ 🥰

I found day one here and day two there and then I couldn’t find I think it was day four and day five so it messed me up and then I gave up! I can’t believe all the work you put in to all of this and how much you love everyone who watches your videos!!! Thank you so very much for putting this together each video was so valuable and I’m gonna do what you say and not worry about the order and I’m gonna try and catch up and watch them and implement the things that you say. Your method has a learning curve. I exhausted myself when I first tried it: I was doing the daily focus, the laundry, the routines, the detailed cleaning, the decluterring, the missions, the journal...it was taking me 2 hours everyday. After 1 week, I crashed...then I had someone who explained the method properly & I also adapted it for me so it was just a breeze...I tackled ONLY the areas that were bugging me & left the rest for later, once my messiest zones were in order. It helped me see the progress.

Dear Marla, thank you for talking about perfectionism. I’m a new fly baby and intuitively after first and second lessons (I wrote everything in a notebook and studied hard and then I was tired but did not give up with checking my hot spots at night and setting timer for 15 min) I picked up this exact video. And I’m so happy and grateful I am🙏 Yes, I won’t burn myself and as of now I’m doing a load of laundry every day, 15 min times 3 in different rooms and checking my hot spots in the morning and in the evening. That’s it! The blessing thing was a little overwhelming for me, already too much and I felt a little bit giving up. BUT after watching this lesson I won’t. Today in the morning a strange and unbelievable thing happened. It is already very visible that I’m following your routines. I took my friend out on Friday for her birthday and as we were walking back from the restaurant we stopped at my place to chat longer AND I didn’t realize I wasn’t scared to have her over because my house was somewhat ok, you know not perfect but with cleaned hot spots and 15 min thing it was ok to have a guest over! Ok, I almost forgot about the strange thing that happened this Monday morning. My 9 yo son took a cloth and wiped first with a damp cloth his iPad. You gotta se his iPad.. sticky fingerprints and just with marks of food. AND he took a damp cloth (totally his wish I did not know what he was doing), cleaned his iPad AND guys wait for it. Took a paper towel and polished it! I caught him doing it the moment he took a paper towel. And then he presented his work to me proudly. The iPad looks like a piece of candy now 😊 Thank you Marla for your life valuable lessons of BABY steps, what a relief! 💗

Yes!! That’s my favorite part about flylady! You can jump in and start anywhere. I’ve been working on this for at least a month now and I just did my morning routine from start to finish for the first time yesterday! I was so proud but it took me a month. And that’s okay! I still haven’t done a full home blessing. The habits I’ve nailed down, and the ones I’m working on have changed my life. Progress over perfection. Because perfection 👏🏻 does 👏🏻 not👏🏻 exist! 👏🏻 love you flylady and fly babies!!

Admitting I did not fully grasp the FLYSystem off the hop, but I listened to you, trusted your words, and stuck with it. Now I know 2 minutes is better than none. It is amazing! I use your guidance for work too! All The pesky procrastination things in life. I set my timer for 10 or 15 minutes, say to myself “I can do anything for 10 minutes” then go go go. When the timer goes off I purposely stop. And return to the task sometime later or next day and repeat the whole process and say the same thing. It truly works! I love you dearly and thank you. ❤

    Jesus wept. John 11:35.
So glad to be dressed to my shoes, hair done, bathroom swished and swiped, sink shiny and laundry sorted for another load. It would hurt me to think your tears were falling on deaf ears.
We are hearing you, we are jumping in with both feet, we will have habits. Yes, we can do this. I can do this! Got some habits under my belt and turning them into routines already!
Know what got me going, you frying chicken on u-tube. I want some of that Sunday dinner chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy and biscuits. Now, what’s chicken got to do with anything? No counter space.
Found the electric skillet and lid but there’s no room on the counter. Not where the plug in on the wall is. I go to bed with a shiny sink and that sink stays empty cause I hand wash as I go. You used your stove top but I want to use my electric skillet.
I needed a little deep cleaning done so the fridge got defrosted. So much for frost free. Then the stove top and oven got scrubbed shiny. Self clean still needs wiped up inside. Yes, the drawer on the electric stove got pulled out and wiped down too.
Chicken pops grease everywhere and after all that deep cleaning, this grandmother is in no mood to be scrubbing down a stove top anytime soon. I know my routines will become habits so all this deep cleaning is a thing of the past now.
Still, till my fingerprints grow back, I am frying in the electric skillet. Empty counters are easy to wipe down. So your chicken is moving me to clear off my counters. The next deep cleaning is defrosting the chest freezer. Frost free or not it has been years since the freezer floor has seen daylight.
You are so right about keeping a shiny sink. I kept waking up to a clean spot and it is like, now you’ve done it. Having the fridge and stove all shinny clean makes me smile. Doing the freezer won’t take very long cause my husband has long arms and ever since seeing me with my feet off the floor stretching for things he always offers to help.
We did the fridge with no counter space and no one has seen the table top since I learned about Amazon shopping. Clutter is our elephant in the kitchen. You would think just do the table and counters first. Not us. No, we would rather pile food up in boxes than face that mess. Besides there is a bad smell we need to find and clean up. Yes, we have two cats but they have never known a dirty kitty box due to me being retired and known as their staff. But they swat any and every thing they can turn into a toy. My wedding band and engagement ring are both missing. Another reason to get back on the FLY Lady bandwagon. Bandwagons are FUN!
Long text but your Babies do not always comment. We are out there. We are stepping all around our homes, thanks to you. Why, I have weed free flowers cause watering has become a habit now. I see a fried chicken dinner on the table because of your baby steps. Time to finish up that load of laundry and set my fly lady timer.

Love your comment Marian.... nearly fell out bed laughing at your comment about your freezer.. as I'm only 5 foot nothing I have no deep freeze chest for fear of falling into the darn thing... That would be very ladylike with my heels in the air! Sounds like you are doing really good with flylady. I am just starting again after a while in hospital but I have the hope I can soon get myself on the straight road again.

What are the options to get rid of ads? Do you have any paid subscriptions services? I am happy to pay to support your channel but not sure how it works.

RUclips Premium or an ABP (AdBlockerPlus) installed on your browser. OR just use it as an excuse to get up and stretch or move your body. :)
