I just found the flylady system and I decided to just shine the sink and get dishes done every day for 30 days. I wanted to make sure that is very ingrained before trying to establish several habits at once.
This video helped me finally get started. I could not make myself do it because I didn't know where to start but now I feel comfortable doing this system! Thank you! This video helped alot!
Thank you so much! I'm a bit OCD about organization (except for some reason with my house🤦🏼♀️), so I try to keep these playlists easy to find & access!
I've started with making my bed, getting dressed, and starting a load of laundry.... I really like starting a load of laundry either first thing in the morning or at night. My washing machine actually has a delay button so I can have a load of laundry finishing up when I wake up in the morning.
Yay! Mine has a delay button too, but I can't figure out how to get it to work! I hit delay, and set for a few hours.... and then the next day my stuff still isn't washed. I guess I'll have to look up a PDF users manual
I have! I've followed her since her channel was BRAND NEW in her old house! Her evening routine is what inspired me to start creating some kind of cleaning routine years ago in our little condo!
Love your videos and thank you!! Am a bit surprised by the laundry at night thing though. Isn’t it the same, whether it stays in the machine all night or all day?
Maybe.... I clean our washing machine every month, so it doesn't hold mildew, and our clothes never stink. I've been doing this everyday since January, and it hasn't been a problem.
The Dove's Nest I guess people who have timers could set them to come on in the early hours so the clothes don’t sit there longer than necessary. I know washing machines here in the UK usually have time delay so could use that. By the way if you haven’t already, I’d love to see a video on keeping your house decluttered! Even in room where I have decluttered and cleaned etc. Two days later it’s a disaster! Just don’t know how that happens! 🤷🏻♀️😩
the actual fly lady steps arent very functional for people whose kids go to sleep so late, i dont have the energy left for the sink, or the clothes, or to go to bed early :P and im left with this issue because he falls asleep if we have to go in the car after midday (hes 3.5 years) ... sometimes i think these systems do not take into consideration for people who live the normal daily grind, or dont own a dishwasher, or a dryer, or any of these little conveniences that cut down time. that said im sure there is a way to modify the baby steps to match my life, just like you have modified the cleaning to suit your home and life. your channel is super motivating,.
Oh man. How late do your kids go to bed? Mine go at 7pm... and afterwards, I'm still so tired (especially because I lay with them, so I'm half asleep by 730 anyway!)! It takes a lot of self motivation for me to get up and finish the cleaning.
If toddler has a nap he will be up til midnight. Otherwise both him and my one year old go to bed between 9-10. The other thing that always gets me with cleaning systems is usually they come from homes with all the conveniences of life. We live in the Mediterranean so electricity and water is expensive, we don't own dishwashers or dryers and we don't do laundry unless there is a full load. so like all things really, lifestyle plays a lot into how we manage our homes, which again is why seeing you modify the systems has been really encouraging. I'm working on baby steps, making bed, getting dressed, drinking water and eating breakfast, just adding those few repetitive things to my day has already helped me feel much more on top of things 🙌

Start again Monday....OUCH!
Hey - Have you watched How Jen Does it here on You Tube she has some really great content on doing the Flylady system her way as well 🙂
I have! I've followed her since her channel was BRAND NEW in her old house! Her evening routine is what inspired me to start creating some kind of cleaning routine years ago in our little condo!
The Dove's Nest I love her house and how she divides up her Weekly chores and Zones. You’re doing a great job - I love watching your videos too 😍
Can your water pressure take care of the laundry and the dishwasher at the same time? I’d love to try but scared it would damage both results.
I love watching ur videos
Thank you so much!!

Did fly lady have kids though?!
