It's incredible how Paul manages to capture the true essence of his viewers... and he does this by checking is analytics and knows when the "Neesha Moment" has arrived! One thing about the desk not mentioned... can you level the desk off by the feet at the bottom of the desk when you have a wonky uneven floor? AND AND.... TIP FOR ALL YOU VIEWERS! Always keep breathing kiddies, or you will die!

My fully standing desk is one of the best purchases I have ever made. But having said that I need to inform you that you should by no means buy a top from the same supplier (not Fully but any supplier). After having bought a beautiful dark bamboo top , I realised that my local carpenter can supply me a beautiful aged oak desk for less than 150 euros and this is what exactly I did! Oh my God......what a desk! A beautiful 4 cm butcher bench aged oak ,lightly varnished with a mate varnish for protection is the best thing that could happen for my working well being and productivity . Another fantastic video.....an yes Paul....with your wife on board your channel can easily reach the 1 million subscribers milestone!

I've owned this desk's lifting mechanism for over 2.5 years now (sourced via another reseller from the OEM LocTek with a locally sourced table top). I'm not sure if that means Flexispot designed it or just resell them but the testing they did does at least validate how good it is and I've been very happy with it. When I first bought it, it came with one of the few controllers that would remember your height settings when power cycled (no brainer nowadays). The USB port leaves much to be desired as it is just a basic 2.4A port. I haven't tinkered with the controller protocol too much but there are some Arduino folks who got it working with IoT too.

PSA: The motors are meant to be used infrequently and that manual will tell you to give it a few minutes break each time you adjust the height. This is because the inrush current heats up the motor and not following the instructions will cause the motor to fail sooner.

My wife and I replaced our old desks with standing desks last year. Moving to standing desks made a huge difference to my wife's lower back and my cable management (its wayyyyyy easier to run cables to devices and keep them neat with a standing desk).
However, I did notice something during your video. We went with a different brand - and though the control units differ - the legs, frame and motors are identical. It seems a few firms may use the same OEM for the legs on their desks.

This looks like one of the better quality versions of standing desk i have seen, none have had the stability demonstrated here. But if you get around enough then a standing desk does nothing for health. doctors have done studies and found no correlation. but I think they are useful because sometimes you do just want to stand, even me, and i'm self confessed lazy... so if it makes people happy, then its a good thing, but I cant stand, or sit, and listen to bad science from the sales people of these products claiming huge health benefits in normally average people

You mean ... 'You can't stand this kind of desk !" 😂 yeah, I'm not totally convinced either. People invented chairs for a reason.

Maybe we need a chair and desk combo that both rise. 🙃

I love your channel. Great video. I have a question, are there any wired smart home products? I think that wired products are more secured. For example, Why there isn't wired smart bulb? The technology to have enthranet over power has been here for many years. I'm looking for any wired smart home products.

X-10. It's rather old school. And, it wasn't all that reliable. It didn't play well with LEDs because it always leaked power. Enough that they didn't fully turn off.
But, the software that was introduced towards the end, was in some ways amazingly better than today's automations. For instance, the X-10 software automations included seasons. I have yet to find a way to incorporate seasons in my Homekit automations. And, the X-10 software offered Sunset+/- min/hrs and Sunrise +/- min/hrs. In my Homekit, I can only have something turn on or off at sunrise or sunset. I miss that capability.
(Yes, I'm so old that I had my home "automated" with X-10 hardware and controllers back when the dinosaurs roamed the earth. I still have most of those. But alas, the software provider has gone defunct and I can no longer get the necessary codes to activate it.)

When I heard about sitting being bad for us, I put a tv in my bedroom so I can lay down instead of sitting.
