@kaialone Everyone in the band was aware that it was from Ocarina of Time since it is specifically mentioned in the subtitle. As for everyone in the audience, I'm not quite sure. I'd say it was evenly split along age demographics.
While the opening and closing statements are based on The Song of Storms, I didn't want it to seem like that was the only part of the song. The Bolero of Fire and Requiem of Spirit are also in there as developing themes. The title "A Storm In The Desert" is supposed to be representative of all these elements. Plus, I kind of figured people would figure the Zelda themes on their own.
Sure! If you need the original part files, just send me a private message. However, it's worth noting that the original files only open in Finale 2012 or later, and MusicXML exports may lose some formatting if you need those instead.
in the begining when the song of storms is starting it sounds like it should be in twilight princess due to it sounding like a song you would hear while talking to midna
All of the individual parts and the score are in the description. As for grade level, I would put this at a hard 4, with the exception of the piano part.
Yes. With my experience of listening to video game music, that is definitely Song of Storms, Bolero Of Fire, and Requiem Of Spirits. You guys should definitely give credit to Zelda as well. Mainly since the remix wouldn't have been made without Zelda.
thanks for replying. I just mentioned that I think it would be appropriate if you gave credit to the songs you were inspired by, and thank you for doing that.
Get these wind instruments outta here! Where mah violins, violas and cellos at? I'm kidding. Great performance. I'm in orchestra though, so I was hoping to see some of the instruments I'm familiar with.
I don't want to make GreatNZ1 look stupid, and I can't edit my original comment, so I guess I'll use this space to say I added some more information about the song to the description so it isn't as confusing. When you work on a song for this long, information that seems obvious to you tends to fall by the wayside.
I remember downloading this track by tyler heath on ocremix a long time ago.
Great job in this live rendition!
These kids will be playing at the next Zelda Symphony Tour ~10 years from now. I see it. :)
So, how many people in that room were aware that its Zelda music :D? Also this sounds great I always loved this Remix

OMG! SONG OF STORMS!

Well......time to request this to my band teacher.

Also Bolero of Fire 2:15, Requiem of Spirit 3:08. But ok, you guys play really good.
Yeah. You could also check the tags. "Ocarina of Time". "Zelda".

It was originally a Tyler Heath Ocarina of Time remix, which they seem not to have realized.
Great song, loved It! We are trying to play it in an orchestra, could you share the score again?
Didn't realize that the Dropbox link died; guess Dropbox doesn't like shortened links anymore. The download link should work now.
I think you should have mentioned somewhere in the description that this is based of on the song of storms from ocarina of time.

Now if only inglewood High could play this
I hope it sounds like the Song of Storms. Our band would have some serious issues to fix if it didn't.

Why can't MY high school do this! Actually, I'd rather him do the Ganondorf Battle Theme from Wind Waker. That'd be EPIC.

Too bad about the noise in the audio capture
@normallife Koji Kondo created this piece. Not Tyler Heath
Didn't see any Tenors. :(

This is mostly the song of storms of TLoZ Ocarina of Time
Make it rain
:hipsterlink:
i heard borello of fire somewhere in the middle anyone else hear it? :p
They are probably completely oblivious about it.
idk y that is spamed, THAT WOULD BE AWESOME
The Tags say Ocarina of Time and Zelda, so they know it's from Zelda. Why they don't give proper credit?
