I ended up being drawn to the Finale. Another gem. The way I listen to you is one piece at a time, thoroughly. The original LP is rare. ruclips.net/video/HrXhYws5TKE/видео.html. Here's m4 recording: ruclips.net/video/Z8oT6zYf_SE/видео.html
Oh, to be young and vigorous once more, tackling life's great challenges with gusto, with nary a sign of ill health, droopy skin, slow mind or poor memory. At least youth was not wasted on these two young men. What a wonderful, young and inspiring, musical and social collaboration here.
Amazingly good video quality for 1968, great, if you wouldn't look careful you'd think it are two young RUclipsrs that made this video last year... :-D
I wonder if there's more footage of them recording the Franck? It reminds me of a similar film, some 10 years later, of the duo recording the Beethoven violin sonatas in Kingsway Hall. I wonder if I can find that somewhere - as I hadn't seen that in years...
@@dannyboy2267 I see. I thought the violin was indeed too much the first time through and perhaps not enough the second time. [ And I'm a violinist. ;-) ]
Two greats playing together.
I love Maestro ITZHAK PERLMAN my favorite violinist Hy is together wonderful 🎻❤️🌺
It's so good. Love rehearsals + discussions best. Christopher Nupen films have a special quality.

This is one of the most spectacular recordings ever. Such passion coupled with such amazing technical skill is so rare even in the best musicians
I love seeing professional artists work behind the scenes. So intriguing and educational!
this is the best thing ever... and not just in music.
Special. 2 geniuses.
Mi versión favorita de esta sonata, la interpretan estos dos genios de la música. Perlman y Ashkenazi: Bravo Maestros!!!

I want this record but I can't find it anywhere.
Itzhak perlam was so young in this video
We were all young when this was recorded!
So was Ashkenazy
Very funny discussion .. haha ..
Maybe Aneskanazy in his best years, the violinist is best of all i think,
whats his name?
PianoSchoolMuenchen Itzhak Perlman
Vladimir does not see this as friendship
아쉬케나지랑 펄만 합주 ㄷㄷ
The violin is too loud! Ashkenazy was right. Perlman plays great, but the balance is wrong. Ashkenazy also played great.
The first time, there was too much violin. The second time, there was too much piano. I wonder what the final result was :/
Mas - ters
Haha - and then the end result has much too much piano sound. That's unfortunate.
Perlman was handsome though while Askenerzy was bossy
The balance was literally worse the second time
You must be a violinist ;--)
@@stepaushi I am, but I don't think that affects my opinion.
