The Run series easily has one of the best soundtracks of any flash game. it just seems so catchy for the first time you listen to it, or listening to it for the first time in a while.
The difference between auto-scroller in Mario and Run is that in Mario, it's a break from optimization since you can't really optimize it, but Run makes the optimize much more intense since there is less optimizing factor.

Woah I remember playing casually how hard it was to beat some of the levels on intense but hearing that speedrunners can’t do it consistently makes me feel better lol
can confirm it is very difficult :(. took me 6 hours to beat the run 1 intense infinite mode wr, which only requires me to not fall off for 1 minute and 17 seconds (granted rng gets in the way at higher diffculties anyway, levels from 70% onwards often have large unjumpable gaps unless you rotate, and are filled with 1 tile jumps).

in 3d land you can out run the camera in the autoscrolling levels, so in speedruns the speedrunners might as well just have a blindfold on during the auto scrollers.
self-learning TASses aren't really viable yet. The stuff that SethBling has done with MarI/O (Super Mario World) and MarIQ (Super Mario Kart) is all that ive seen in regards to a neural network learning how to play a video game, and those efforts are currently much slower than human runs.
Dude I love these videos! I really wanted to find a community for Ragdoll Invaders. Think it has a lot of potential for a flash category, and I don't think any community exists for it online. Its a "wave" based game so if you maximise the bullets hit across enemies and avoid deaths you can avoid losing time. There's also these hearts you collect to maximise your score. To get 100% you have to get max score which means 0 deaths and max hearts collected. I think a 100% run of this could be crazy since there's actually a decent skill ceiling and over the years I've finally been able to beat the game consistently. A 0 death category could be an option aswell so if someone missed a heart going for 100% they could still get their time placed in the 0 death category.
