The problem with “find the most godly person you know and marry them” is that it doesn’t account for those that are emotionally unavailable or have a similar structural issue.
Such a great conversation. I struggle a lot with decisions in dating too bc I’m afraid of hurting someone down the line if I’m not completely sure upfront. It’s something that I have to surrender daily to God when I’m stuck in a cycle of overthinking.
Couldn’t disagree more and ironic coming people who all married attractive spouses. Reducing marriage to just a checkbox and failing to acknowledge the fact that marriages that fail because there was no attraction. You can also have both a christ like character and attraction, not one or the other.
If y’all can stay committed to the relationship you are meant to have which is Jesus ; how do you expect to thrive in a relationship with a person who isn’t so forgiving and loving . Seek first the kingdom and all these things will be added to you . You are getting everything you are meant to in this moment appreciate it . Be faithful with little .
