How did I miss this!!!! This really takes me back... To the beforetimes, when I watched a video about Stardom's roster and thought "Who in the hell is this guy? He really likes Souls games. Whatever, I'll probably never watch this channel again... Wait, who is Hazuki?" 😁Great video.
Uta and Haru are competing against each other in "who is leveling up faster". Presumably Haru is studding under Shoko so give her 2 years and she becomes young master of arts like Rina. Uta of course is is fueled by ice cream goblin, and she talked in backstage with Mei about tag name so yeah. That's exactly what i wanted. In tjpw if you have a named tag team that means you are aiming for the tag belts.
Bro, once AGAIN proof positive YOU STOOPID 🤣🤣🤣❤. I personally LOVE TJPW because (like your videos) they don't take themselves TOO seriously. I have to get around to becoming a Patreon, because I REALLY enjoy your content. Keep up the GREAT work. Yours Truly justJACk
Its gonna be fun watching Runa and Haru grow. Runa moves like a powerhouse and admires the cool beauties like Kamiyu. Haru is slowly improving as an in-ring technician. I like where the 2023 rookie class is at even with young Toga slowly putting things together. The late addition with another former GanJo/AWGZ performer in Yoppy is nice. They got a Shoko stand-in with her if needed and ref Kiso wouldn't know the difference.
There is something so special about your videos, I have watched thousands of videos over the years on youtube but your videos stick out, they hit different. Thank you for your content it's truly something special
Great run down and think I pretty much agree with you on most of the things and why the ridiculous cocktail of characters works so perfectly in the Teej bubble. That's not to say there isn't talent that could work very well elsewhere (as we've seen in the past with people moving on) but everyone works so well it's a big part of why Teej is my favourite company overall. I hadn't thought about it before but you captured why I like Mahiro. Around all those characters she's the most normal to the extent I've heard people don't really warm to her or find her more "forgettable". It's kind of the point, she's the perfect foil to everyone elses over the top hijinks as the "straight (wo)man" in there. She's practically the only one filling that (Miyu as another candidate, although quite often they show that Miyu *wants* to get involved in that but usually she's ganged up on or deliberately excluded, especially if Mizuki is anywhere nearby) which makes her stand out in her own way. Hype showed a lot more of what she can do as a personality and it was really heartwarming to see the momentary look of disbelief in London recently when the crowd popped big time for her getting ready to apologise. On Runa, I can understand why she's almost a brief "footnote", it's still early in her career and while she joined at the same time as Haru she's had to take more time off to keep up with her studies and high school entrance exams over the last year. Her character will develop and she will improve with time, and I look forward to seeing what happens as she's got a strong base to work from. There's been a lot of promising talent come through the last two "classes" so she's almost lost in the shuffle but as the baby of the group she's hopefully got a long and interesting career ahead of her. Either way, the future of Teej looks very bright indeed!
From the few Miyu matches I’ve seen, it appears Maki sometimes corners her, which I think is a very cool friendship. When a TJPW match ends and then you hear “Let’s f*cking GO! Who’s the cutest in the world? ITOH-Channnn!!” I always laugh and get excited 😂 Kira Summer and Namba recently almost missed their flight because they were chatting so much at the airport. I think this is cute and also shows how Kira is learning Japanese, or Namba English. Impressive. I’m so glad you mentioned how there isn’t a necessity for heels… Some Western wrestling fans heads explode if you mention the possibility of heels being a passé concept 🤯
@@Impossible033 Miyu Yamashita and Maki Itoh are totally a tag team! 121000000. Had their own friendship story as well. Former Princess tag team champions for like a brief cup of coffee.
Seriously it's impossible not to love Teej! Also must add that Uta has all the potential to be my new favorite. That evil cute goblin is already so much fun. But she probably can't dethrone Shoko!
I’ve been in a pretty long Wrestling Slump where nothing excites me. Except for TJPW. Because it’s Super Super Serious! The colorful characters, the none sense, the cuteness & the consistently good wrestling. This is a promotion I never get tired of watching and I’m always up for it. I refuse to miss a single episode. I don’t wanna cry yet so I’m still pushing watching that Kakuta Nao graduation show. lol. So many new found favorites since I started watching in July of 2023. Just to name a few Shino, WAKANA!!! Himawari… basically all of the 2023 Class haha. Mizuki, Aino, Nao, Miyu, Miu, Daisy Monkey, Moka, God Raku, Pom and well they’re all great! I want them to succeed so bad. I’m planning on going to Las Vegas for Mania week and I’m pretty sure they announced (not officially yet I think) they’ll be in Vegas so I’m excited to potentially attended my first TJPW show. I’m trying to meet as many of those Menacing Goblins haha
Yea I felt like Misao using Mahiro as the main character of her Hype! show was her trying to show Koda how it should be. Plus, everybody said that at the latest Eve show, Mahiro did a great job beating up on Himawari and then NOT apologizing!!! Which would be such an interesting way to go, the humble office lady just getting fed up with all the craziness. And is somewhat needed without Neo Bishiki Gun around anymore. Hope Koda takes the hints(he won't).
Mahiro did apologise. She absorbed the heel heat and after receiving "you sick f*" chants, the crowd switched to "say your sorry" which she promptly did, in English, to a great reception. Her more vicious, heel approach though was great.
TJPW is about the only wrestling I watch regularly, and I find myself bouncing off of other companies, which means my Wrestle Universe subscription is largely wasted. I was trying to figure outwhy that is, and I think the intro of this video spelled it out very clearly: it's all that pro wrestling is in one place, and yet it's also very self-contained and its own thing. The cognitive dissonance is fascinating to me. For example, outside of a TJPW context, Miyu Yamashita is my favorite wrestler in the world. But *within* TJPW, she doesn't even crack the top five. I don't know who actually would make that list, but there's something about TJPW that creates that disconnect for me. I love it.
This video is legit convincing me to take the plunge and subscribe to Wrestle Universe solely for TJPW. Bad decision? maybe. Regrettable? not in the slightest.
Miyu Yamashita's Skull Kick legit looks like a fatality from Mortal Kombat

"Haruna Neko...is a cat" lmao gets me every time you are the best Meerkat :)
I love Akki calling Raku matches because he's the only one making the call back to Great Khali when she would hit that brain chop
