With the node wrangler addon you can import all your material by clicking Ctrl+Shift+T, and select all your files. You don’t have to duplicate the image texture node etc. It will do all the work for you :)
@@Astrobers yes I think it’s only for images packed materials, it will recognize the key words like « roughness » etc. If you want to re use materials from another project just drag and drop your project into your blender file, click append, then go to the material folder, and search for the material you want!
Nice tutorial, but what if I want to do the geo node with my own mesh? For example with an avatar. It works for me but when I try to transform as you did (3:33) and the whole object rotates instead of just the surface :/
Lovely tutorial! Very good to follow and clear instructions. But sometimes its quiet hard to understand why certain choices are made or what they do exactly. Besides that, quality work, looking forward to the next one!

Great Tutorial! Just a tip for organization, you can create a Node group when you Join the geometry and create two different icospheres geo node groups
I kept finding my MAC crashing in cycles with GPU but switched to CPU and working fine now. I did a test render in Eveee and found a blob hovering over the sphere on its own so it has a life of its own! Learnt a lot from this tutorial and finding I’m getting more familiar with Geometry Nodes which makes things much easier to setup and build scenes with.
This was the first Blender I made and it was so much fun, it took me a bit longer than you, but it was so much fun and it was super easy with your video! Thank you.
I found a little workaround if the displacement node isn't working or doesn't show the bump+displacement at the material menu. You just use the displace modifier on the ground object and put the texture in there, it must be scaled/repeated as well to be of the same size of the ones you're using on the texture coordinates node, and for the small detail I used the normal texture node with it's matching file. I hope this might help if you're having this issue.
Great Job! I very much enjoyed the tutorial! I haven't ever used Geometry Nodes. I honestly can't believe how long it took to render this animation at 300 samples so I assume that's because I use geometry nodes and something I'd never used before "Volume".
Good day. As always, a great lesson, just fire. But there is one question. How to make an animation of the manifestation of spheres by the number of elements. A simple twitching of the sliders did not help (((That is, there is a sphere at the beginning of the animation and by the end it loses segments and dissolves or vice versa increases. The effect will be interesting. It remains, a little, to tie it to this lesson.))
Great tutorial, thank you for making it! One question: during the end animation, it looks like the texture of the two rotating objects stays in place while the objects themselves are rotating. So, the visual effect is the texture flowing along the surface as it is rotating. Am I right or my eyes are deceiving me?
I know you asked this a while ago but what fixed it for me was going into (edit - preferences - viewport tab - then subdivision tab, and uncheck GPU subdivision-)
Hi,Thank you for this tutorial. But my rendering result showing white screen. I tried to fix this issue by various options noting working ,hope you can help somehow.
I have a question. At the end of the video you show the final result, and you have a bit of chromatic aberration that looks really cool, is it postprocessing? or did you set it on blender? Thank you for your work
It seems like I may be the only one with this problem, but for the gradient background when I set the Gradient Texture to pass through the ColorRamp and switch to B-Spline, the gradient is really harsh and does not react as in the video. Blender version 3.3.0, 1/31/23.

hey, first, thank you a lot for putting time in makng thoses incredible and well detailled tutorial keep up the good work. Hello! Thanks for an easy tutorial! Just have a question about Render, my animation is still rendering and it's been 18 hours already, is it normal? I read that in Blender you can't see estimated time for the whole animation, so I don't know how much time left and worrying if every animation takes that long or it's about my laptop/settings?
Hi, I'm a beginner so I don't have much advice, but I have had the same problem for a while too. In general (Including me) it is because of the computer having low RAM as well as a not so good GPU. However, optimizing the light path settings might helped me a bit such as reducing light bounces. I'm also expecting about 18 hours of rendering but I hope it helps :)
@@nikamaruxx I actually miscalculated the rendering time and its actually going to take about 60-70 hours lol. It's just that I have a 2011 computer so...
