- How to inspect my rear suspension using simple method. Is simple to check it you can take measurements from front and rear spaces on the tire and fender edge and compare with the other side. This can tell you if have the same spects.
It could lots of things besides a bent differential! I hope to hell you put it on the lift for inspection before ordering a diff.
The method shown on the video is how I figured out my issue on my mustang. Differential was bent about 4 degrees. So wheels weren’t exactly aligned when driving. Replaced the diff and the problem is gone.
@@rypdxhow much did it cost you? Mine might be doing the same thing
I’m having this problem with my 2017 Infiniti q60 seems to lean to both sides while driving it’s driving me crazy ! Help asap
Did u fix? I’m having the same issue
@@shemarbrown2479did you fix it haha 😂 I got the same problem
@@Dead_Wolf777 it was a few different issues for me. The guy I bought it from scammed me, body was mint but the whole suspension was messed up. Firstly, tires were heavily worn to due to the subframe being bent, subframe was also rubbing against the tire causing the wear. Due to the subframe being bent it also couldn’t drive straight. Front control arms were bent, front subframe rottted. It could be a simple fix such as tire pressure or alignment but you should take it in to a shop for a full inspection. Hope this helps
Thank you, this is the exact issue with my Ford Ranger
That same tire shop told me my rear diff was bad on my 2012 Hyundai accent hahaha I tried to fix it but I couldn't find a rear differential Oh I get it it's front wheel drive
Not sure what's worse, that the mechanic told you that your front wheel drive accent had a bad rear differential, or that you believed him and actually got under your car to search for it.
@@scorpionwins6378my mom got scammed and had to pay $2000 they did a bunch of extra repairs for no reason that she had no interest in and even after that they didn’t fix the problem
a bent diff would be one hard ass hit. probly more likely the steering knuckle. dealing with this on my drift daily. when i go over bumps the rear sways but i cant for the life of me find whats bent. just gonna start replacing parts one by one then get an alignment

I have 2011 vw toureg tdi , drives fine shifts fine even accelerating fast from start drives fine , but yesterday on highway speed 65mph rear end starting to sway like u would think is slipping on ice , then goes away works fine , and the. After a while comes again and like u think that ur sloping rlly bad , car will like shake or sway left to right , I haven’t gone underneath yet to check , I just bought the car for my daughter collge car , please any help or idea would appreciated so much
Having the same issues. Did you figure it out?
Did you guys check the distance between front to rear wheel6?
Also, check camber and caster alignment. My car has the same issues
Same problem i encountered yesterday with me it got off the traffic lanez i was driving and went to the other lanes oncoming trafficking fortunately the car were far so it seemed like i did it purposely as it stood off facing the right direction.. This nearly costed me my life
All the shocks, and stabilizers, sway bars, lots of shit moving involved there,,, all have rubber bushings at the connections,,, the wear and dry out , and fail , usually at different and sporadic times.... could be an easy and simple fix really
So even if the bushings are dried out, it'll still cause the swaying?
bman409 well what are u asking exactly,, dried out isn’t really that bad, may get some noises , but when they are wallerd out and missing some of the rubber, can cause come swaying,,, but the sway problem, when it’s bad, is from the 4 inch linkage part, that attaches the sway bar to (essentially). The tires
Jack F - The reason why I'm asking is because I'm experiencing excessive swaying in my rear end on my Nissan 350z. It pretty much basically feels like I'm going in to a drift at times when cornering. I can't figure it out to save my life! I done had 2 different shops look at it, my alignment is fine but my bushings are dry rotted, as I was told by one of the shops.
I looked up under my car and literally grabbed any and everything, shaking hard as I can, to see if I have any play and I don't see it. So I'm stumped.
bman409 I see,, I would next try getting to big guys, (friends, family). Try to park the car in such a way that allows more space under the direct center of car,, slide a big block of wood or a tire on rim under car.( basically bring it with you when u crawl under car and position it in a way that it will save your life if the car for some reason drops or brakes off from wheels,,, While under there. Have those big dudes on each side of the car push and sway as hard as they can. Have them jump up and down on bumper, and just watch and listen and examine everything with a bright flashlight to try to find an issue... take a can of white spray paint and Mark any areas of concern for later examination....
To me it sounds like you have an issue with shocks or struts or springs in the rear maybe the front also,,, they are not pushing back on the natural lean of your car while cornering,,, which makes your tires not have friction on the pavement in the right place to make the normal fast corners.... hope this helps.... also pick n pull type lots are best to get car parts from when doing exploratory, guess work auto repair
Good luck my man.....
It's funny you mention my shocks because I just recently lowered the car an inch all the way around on lowering springs, maybe 6 months ago at best. I did replace the front struts up front but I didn't do the rear. So basically the front struts are about 6 months old and the rear struts are about 2 years old. Then on top of that, they are mixmatch. So that could be an issue huh?
The rear shocks were my first guess but I don't see any fluid leaking from them nor when I bounce up and down on the rear end, it doesn't have any excessive bouncing.
That last rear tire looks pushed in at a angle. Like maybe a curb was hit

I have the same problem with my Toyota Corolla 18. How much will it cost to fix. My boyfriend noticed the difference on the tires
U still got ur bf or u guys broke up?

What’s a typical cost? Is it safe to drive for now?
My Camaro does this pull from left to right. I’m being told it’s because of the wide tires and it’s normal. Something called Tramling.
My Camaro doing the same thing 2017
@@heatjumpdid you ever figure out what it was?
@@visualblack8208 needed an alignment bro smh
My car just lost control on a freeway fortunately the island separating the oncoming lates wasn't too steep so basically its drifted to the oncoming lanes and faced ongoing traffic.. People who watching thought i did the purposely.. What could cause this.. And when it got off the road i used hand break to reduce speed
Ok but when I hit a bump my rear end goes to the left sometimes
I want to know this too?
Same
It ain’t the diff unless one of the mounts is broke. Something is bent or broke . Trailing arm, 4 link, etc….
It’s not the differential, so he should look for another mechanic that knows what he is doing. To my knowledge that only happen when u hit something.
i just hit a curb drifting in my lexus and i bent something but its definitely not the differential. that would take one hell of a hit. i agree i think its either a steering knuckle, trailing arm or control arm. currently trying to figure out exactly what on my car lol
@CVBFonzP7B same here... I hit a curb. I noticed the a arm on the side I hit, bushing is gone or something bent for sure. What about tie roads or rack and pinion??? That's where I'm at.
my 2011 gt is the same way, has anyone had this problem and found a fix?
Did you get yours checked out?
Hello Dear Sir I have same problem with my car how to solve this problem please
Replace your connecting rods with adjustables and then take it to an alignment shop.
I had the same issue with my old Toyota.
You know what it was?
Im driving a Toyota did you ever get help?
What was it?
I thought it could be the struts and springs, not the diff.
These dudes probably robbed the owner of this mustang in my experience it's either a bad tire or needs an alignment that's it
Looks more like a bent spindle/ knuckle or rear arm bent
yea bent diff would take one hell of a hit
This guy saying its the diff gone 😂😂 MecKaniK
the only way how to fix this, is replacing the coils.
What type of coils sir I have toyota camry 2007
It's better to replace the coil as an assembly with the struts you can purchase those at any auto parts store
Nope . Im experiencing the same issue with my mustang and replacing coils did nothing. Replaced all four along with shocks and struts .
