@@Iceman24424definitely. Shaq had to be the guy. Which is really stupid when you're winning. Like, there should be enough to go around. Shaq could concede some of his stats and power to make them a more effective team. While Kobe had a terrible finals in 04, the Lakers were a better team when both guys were eating. But Shaq had this ego problem. It first showed up in Orlando when he started to get jelly over Penny getting attention despite the fact that Penny was the opposite of Kobe personality wise and a perfect Robin for someone like Shaq who was willing to placate Shaq. If he had issues with that guy then maybe the issue wasn't all on Kobe.

kobe was carried by shaq for his first 3 rings. in his next two rings, Pau led both 09 and 10 finals in 4th quarter scoring (even though kobe is supposedly clutch). Pau also led the lakers in win shares in both 09 and 10 finals.
kobe was also objectively bailed out by refs in many finals. in game 6 (kobe facing elimination) 2002 finals 4th quarter, lakers got 27 free throws to the 9 free throws by the kings, in a 4 point win. in game 7 2010 finals, lakers shot 20 more free throws in a another close 4-point win.
kobe is not "clutch." stats and games show it. he shoots below average in game tying shots in both playoff and regular season games. on the biggest stage. he cost the lakers a 4-peat with his terrible performance in game 3 of the 2004 finals. he has 11 points on 30% shooting, with 4 turnovers for just 5 assists. he lost the 2008 finals for his team in game 6 (facing elimination) with 22 points on 32% shooting, 1 assist and 4 turnovers! he almost cost his team another champion with just 12 points from the field with 25% shooting. he had 2 assists with again, 4 turnovers. he was bailed out with 15 free throw attempts. as before mentioned, the lakers shot 20 more free throws that game to be bailed out.
kobe had 9x all defensive first teams that he didn't deserve. even Phil Jackson called out Kobe saying he didn’t deserve defensive team selections for a long time. during his 9 first team selections, his defensive +/- was 0.26. overall, his career average defensive +/- is NEGATIVE. don't tell me stats aren't everything when stats clearly show that opposing teams scored MORE with kobe on the floor. look at someone like lebron. he has 5x all defensive first team. during those selections he had an average defensive box +/- of 2.7. his career average is 1.9. enough said, massively overrated defender.
kobe never led the league in an advanced analytic one time in a 20 year career, not a single time did he lead the league in personal efficiency rating, value over replacement, box plus minus, or win shares. That’s mind blowing when you consider that: MJ, kareem, wilt, russell, james all did it over 40-50 times each & then you have players like bird, o’neal, dr. J, oscar, etc. who did it 15-20+ times through their career. and, one of the "greatest scorers ever," kobe never shot above 47% once in 20 years.

kobe was also objectively bailed out by refs in many finals. in game 6 (kobe facing elimination) 2002 finals 4th quarter, lakers got 27 free throws to the 9 free throws by the kings, in a 4 point win. in game 7 2010 finals, lakers shot 20 more free throws in a another close 4-point win.
kobe is not "clutch." stats and games show it. he shoots below average in game tying shots in both playoff and regular season games. on the biggest stage. he cost the lakers a 4-peat with his terrible performance in game 3 of the 2004 finals. he has 11 points on 30% shooting, with 4 turnovers for just 5 assists. he lost the 2008 finals for his team in game 6 (facing elimination) with 22 points on 32% shooting, 1 assist and 4 turnovers! he almost cost his team another champion with just 12 points from the field with 25% shooting. he had 2 assists with again, 4 turnovers. he was bailed out with 15 free throw attempts. as before mentioned, the lakers shot 20 more free throws that game to be bailed out.
kobe had 9x all defensive first teams that he didn't deserve. even Phil Jackson called out Kobe saying he didn’t deserve defensive team selections for a long time. during his 9 first team selections, his defensive +/- was 0.26. overall, his career average defensive +/- is NEGATIVE. don't tell me stats aren't everything when stats clearly show that opposing teams scored MORE with kobe on the floor. look at someone like lebron. he has 5x all defensive first team. during those selections he had an average defensive box +/- of 2.7. his career average is 1.9. enough said, massively overrated defender.
kobe never led the league in an advanced analytic one time in a 20 year career, not a single time did he lead the league in personal efficiency rating, value over replacement, box plus minus, or win shares. @CoreTradingMastery did you really just lay out that whole argument without bothering to listen to ANYTHING the man said on this video? "Carried" in '01 & '02?? Nobody who is his team's ONLY real offensive option late in close games is being carried. 01 especially, since Kobe closed out the SAC series(in which he averaged 35.0 a game's worth of "being carried") with games of 36 and then a 48 pt 16 rebound closeout game that Shaq fouled out of... only to open the Spurs (#1 seed) series with 45 & 10, a good start to a series where he again led the Lakers with 33 a game (+7 rebounds & 7 assists, remember?). Of COURSE Shaq took over in the finals, but not because Kobe couldn't... Dikembe Mutombo was 100 lbs. smaller than Shaq... he may have been DPOY, but that's because he only had to face Shaq twice during the reg. season. EDIT: scratch that, he didnt face him at all, since he was traded from ATL BEFORE facing the Lakers twice and AFTER Philly faced them twice.
In 02, again-- nobody who carries his team in the 4th Q is being carried. Nor is anyone who scored 27 a game in the finals (and you'll love this: with STAGGERING efficiency, shooting well over 50% from the field AND from 3). As far as the SAC game, how is ONE GAME of semi-debatable calls being CARRIED? It's an entirely different argument you're mixing in to your "Kobe was carried for 3 titles because he was inefficient" argument.
Every playoff run is it's own thing... but 1 thing is recurringly true in Kobe's titles... while another player sometimes shared the load, he was never carried. Even after being intentionally injured & missing a game and 3 quarters, the Lakers needed him to come back early & dominate late in the 4th & in OT after Shaq fouled out to keep the Indiana series in '00 from going 2-2. He did play terribly in 3 of the 5 games vs. Detroit in 04--of course, he dominated in game 2, and hit the last second three to win it.
Nope. I can't get with your theory. Especially since it turned into a "let's throw in as many extraneous stats as possible to gloss over the fact that he was never carried" poo-flinging exercise. If you want to make the case for why he isn't in your top 5 or 10 or 100, fine, your comment would fit the bill. That wasn't the topic here, though.

That 2001 Kobe Bryant was incredible..
An 22 year old Kobe Bryant was special… people forget that he was the NBA’s lead scorer at the time with 29ppg before Allen Iverson took the scoring title and the league MVP later that year ..also,.. Kobe proved the world that he’s not a “SideKick” and he wasn’t carried those 3 rings with Shaq..Kobe is the reason to help Shaq to get to the finals for three straight years from all the disappointments in Orlando.. And I will never forget at the time during the 2001 Western conference finals press, conference Shaquille O’Neal himself with his own words” I think he’s the best player in this league by far” Shaq knew that Kobe is the best player. Including last year on NBA TV NBA finals pregame, Shaq said recently” I wasn’t the best player on the team”.
They are Superman and Batman .
Shaq is Superman, he has dominant strength, but his weakness is the free throws as his kryptonite.
Kobe is Batman, he has an elite skill.
And let’s be real all these LeBron fans out here had no common sense.
Stop with the lies and stop with the narratives PERIOD..

LeBron James has received THE MOST HELP in NBA history from a teammate.
In the last 2 mins of 1 possession games during the 2016 playoffs:
    Bron - 5 points 2/9 fg 22%
Kyrie - 8 points 3-6 fg 50% and one of the biggest GAME WINNING SHOTS in NBA finals history.
Also Kyrie is 8th ALL TIME in Finals PPG. (27.69)
    For reference:
Scottie Pippen is 45th all time (18ppg)
Pau Gasol is 54th all time (17ppg)
    - LeBron is 10-11 in one possession games in the finals; if he was more clutch he would have more chips.
    - 2 BRONZE international medals (a historic choke job than even his fanboys can't explain away).
    - Only 19 game winning shots in 20 years full of travels, carries, and super-teams giving him more space in those situations.
    - Getting outperformed in the clutch by kyrie in his most clutch year: 2016 (kyrie scored more points in clutch time and hit the game winning shot)
    -Most finals and playoff losses.
    - 6 finals losses with super-teams while going through an easier conference.
    - under 30% shooting in the clutch in the postseason.
    - 0 for 7 on Game Winners in the NBA Finals (ZERO for 7).
    - LeBron James Has Only Made 19 Of 107 Shots In Clutch Situation During His Career: 17.8% FG, 12.5% From 3-Pointers. HORRIBLE.
    - LeBron shoots 65% from the FT Line in the 4th Quarter for his CAREER.
-LeBron shoots 31% in the playoffs for his career outside of the paint.
-LeBron has the HIGHEST TO rate in the 4th Quarter of all-time (1.9).
-LeBron has over 5000 Turnovers, by far the most in NBA history, as well as the most total TO's in "clutch" time in both the NBA playoffs AND the NBA Finals.
-The three most clutch shots in LeBron's career were hit by: Ray Allen (2013), Kyrie Irving (2016), and Anthony Davis (2020 Bubble).
LeBronze is not clutch and does NOT have a high hoops IQ. Nobody with a high hoops IQ has, by far, the most TURNOVERS in history (by far).
The LeBron system - total domination of the ball. That way, you have a gaudy statline. When you win, you did it all by yourself. You lose? Well, look at those stats! You just didn't have enough help. He isn't the GOAT, but he is the greatest con man to ever play the game.

Kobe's defense during that run was arguably the best EVER by a guard in NBA playoff history. They lost the pivotal game 3 in which Kobe was injured (intentionally injured by Jalen Rose in game 2, so Kobe missed 2 out of the 6 games, Lakers split those games 1-1). But went 3-1 with Kobe. LeBron is nowhere near Kobe. And it irks me how no one mentions LeBron is 4/10 in finals appearances. That’s a 40% win rate. This dude is the most celebrated loser I have ever seen. Kobe is 5/7 in finals appearances. That’s a 71% win ratio (if the argument is going to be about championships). Kobe kills LeBron in valuable metrics. Who the hell cares if you’re 20+ years and still athletic. What have you done in that time? And how have you done it? LeBron needs to claim irrelevant records ultimately because he cant outdo his main comp, Kobe, not Jordan. How Kobe can be tarnished like that is mind-boggling, especially when LeBron clearly pays all media to praise him (including the riding Gilbert).

@@calebvanberkom5571 I would rather it be that if you will crown yourself "king," that you get to 10 nba finals and win 10 nba finals, or you get to 10 and win 7, or get to 10 and win 8. Why can someone marketed as being the greatest "get their team" to the dream and continually fail to ascend to "greatness"? It doesn't make sense. This guy is the greatest loser I have ever seen. His greatness is in losing, or in getting to the pinnacle and not able to claim the victory. Like, come on. If he is that good he shouldn't be losing that early in the playoffs and I understand it is a "team sport" but come on..what is he now doing but everything that is individual and not team sport related. Despite the fact that his stats are definitely padded, should he put as much energy not only getting into the finals but winning them, the story would be different. Other than that, he's parading around as a loser while the media crowns him as a winner. Its weird. He's trying to claim individual stats because he understands he needs to be remembered for something, because if he didn't, the narrative of him being a 40% finals winner while claiming the title of "king" would come under great scrutiny eventually. Never mind the fact that he has his longevity because when he understands he is losing he quits the moment, mentally checks out, and is mentally in the next season. Who wants to get to ten nba finals and then exit? If you can make it to the finals with your team, you should be able to win with that team and also go into that "zone of legends," that mindset and state of mind for victory. Lebron just fails to be great and the fact that his greatlessness is celebrated is absolutely mind-boggling to me. If you will lost in the first round, second round, get your rest sure, come back and be "king." He used to magnify the fact that he made the people around him better but when you can't do that when it counts...come on. And then when you are trying to claim individual titles now because you fail at actually doing what you claim yourself to be best at...come on. He's the greatest loser I ever seen

Lets expose SETTLE THIS "SHAQ WAS THE BEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD 00-02" was he ?????
99-00 = 2nd Best team in NBA was NOT the PACERS that was the BLAZERS
And in GAME 7 vs the Blazers what did MVP SHAQ do ?
Shaquille O'Neal put up 18 points and added 9 rebounds and 5 assists versus the Trail Blazers in Game 7 of the 2000 Western Conference
Finals on June 4, 2000. ONLY SCORED 2 POINTS IN THE 4TH QUARTER …..Got out scored by Rasheed Wallace (30 pts)
What did 21 year old kobe in game 7 ?
Kobe Bryant had a double-double with 25 points and 11 rebounds against the Trail Blazers in Game 7 of the 2000 Western
leading team in POINTS REBOUNDS BLOCKS AND ASSISTS (shaq should have more rebounds and blocks..)
00-01 = 2nd Best team in the NBA was NOT the 76ers that was the SPURS
What did 22yr old kobe do to THE BEST DEFENSIVE TEAM in the league ?
Kobe Bryant averaged 33.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists in 4 games in the 2001 Western Conference Finals.
Shaquille O'Neal averaged 27.0 points, 13.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 4 games in the 2001 Western Conference Finals
01-02 - 2nd Best team in the NBA was NOT the NETS that was the SPURS/KINGS
Kobe Bryant averaged 26.2 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.8 assists in 5 games in the 2002 Western Conference Semifinals.
Shaquille O'Neal averaged 21.4 points, 12.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 5 games in the 2002 Western Conference Semifinals.
Tim Duncan averaged 29.0 points, 17.2 rebounds and 4.6 assists in 5 games in the 2002 Western Conference Semifinals.
(shaq getting massively outplayed by Tim Duncan)
Shaquille O'Neal averaged 30.3 points, 13.6 rebounds and 2.4 blocks in 7 games in the 2002 Western Conference Finals.
Kobe Bryant averaged 27.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 7 games in the 2002 Western Conference Finals.
    CONCLUSION
00 = Shaq does NOT beat the blazers with out Kobe
01= Shaq does NOT beat the spurs without Kobe
02 = Shaq does NOT get passed the Spurs or Kings without Kobe
So WE CAN NOT call the EASTERN CONFERENCE THE LEASTERN CONFERENCE and then say "SHAQ HAS 3 FINALS MVPS" well DUH
Was shaq the "BEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD in the WEST????" As we can see here that was NOT ALWAYS TRUE
    BTW
Shaquille O'Neal averaged 22.4 points, 12.8 rebounds and 2.8 blocks in 30 games versus Tim Duncan in the playoffs in his career.
Tim Duncan averaged 25.6 points, 13.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 30 games versus Shaquille O'Neal in the playoffs in his career.
Tim duncan OUTPLAYED Shaq head to head which means shaq does NOT get OUT THE WEST minus Kobe….00 would have been his best chance without kobe

Players/Coaches who think Kobe is better than LeBron:

    2. D. Wade
    3. Reggie Miller
    4. Shaq
    5. Magic
    6. Bird
    7. Barkley

    10. Ginobli
    11. Greg Poppovich
    12. Mark Jackson
    13. Michael Jordan
    14. Kevin Durant
    15. Kevin Willis
    16. Stephon Marbury
    17. Tim Hardaway
    18. Rashard McCants
    19. Allen Iverson
    20. Vince Carter
    21. Tracy McGrady
    22. Bruce Bowen
    23. Darius Miles
    24. Quentin Richardson
I can go on and on and on. The list would go on for PAGES. I can even cite the exact dates and sources (where they said it), if you'd like.
Both Kyrie and Kevin Love said Prime Kobe was better than ANY version of LeBron and they were his teammates. Wade was his teammate and said Kobe was better. Bosh was his teammate and said Kobe was better. Darius Miles and Shaquille O'Neal played with LeBron and said Kobe was better.

Its the same disrespect stans use when they say Steph was the Robin and KD was Batman bc KD won 2 finals MVPs.
No way in hell has Steph ever been Robin to KD. It was clearly Steph's team. And there are multiple interviews of teams keeping their main focus on Steph and trying to slow him down, even if it allowd KD to be open.
Steph was soo lethal and so much gravitational pull, teams poured all energy to slow Steph down and were willing to leave Klay and KD open.
Because truly great players can adjust their game to make their team win, Steph's stats lowers and KDs raised, i.e. KDs numbers led to finals mvp.
Kd was great, but everyone knew everything ran through Steph.
The difference with Jabron Lames is he makes everyone change for HIS system, which allows him to have the ball in his hands more to increase passes (while telling players their role is to shoot once he passes the ball to get more assist), hangs near the basket in defense and tells teammates that if hes near the ball its his rebound, so they dont event attempt to jump.
And then shoots and drives while everyone clears out to an open lane and if he misses his layup, he will get the flop foul from his refs. (So instead of him missing shots and his true shot % is lower, calling a foul erases the miss, causes higher shot %.)
All while taking games off when necessary, playing the weakest offensive player to slack off, rest and blindside block other players, highering coaches he can control and force to use HIS system, and make the most trades of any player of all time to give him more "help", and paying media "experts" to create fake narratives and ignore any glaring flaws to elevate Jebron Lames into the fake goat debate.

And I guarantee LeBron's Lakers antics, the in season tournament celebration, the hiring of JJ, the drafting of Bronny would all be looked down on by him. I would have liked to have seen Kobe roll his eyes at all of it and take passive aggressive shots at both LeBron and the organization. As a Klutz operative, Gil talks doublespeak. Lebron forming superteams exemplifies “I’m not a lead dog”.
Lebron was never THE best player on any of those superteams; he was ONE of the best players.
DWade is painted as being consistently injury prone during LeBron’s time in Miami which is untrue. He was always painted as LeBron’s second which is also untrue and the same holds true with Kyrie in Cleveland.
Both Wade and Kyrie were alpha dogs and not second in command to Lebron.
If being a closer is a skill that MJ and Kobe possess but Lebron doesn’t then how is he better than Kobe?

Kobe never gets the love from the media, unfortunately I think it has a lot to do with that whole Denver case back in the day

I really dislike Lebron as a person and I do think he is a stat compiler at this point but, Lebron is more dominant basketball player. If a magical draft were to take place no one would pick Kobe over Lebron. But I still entertain channels like these for fun... however, trying to pass Kwame Brown's take on the matter as some kind of counter balance to Gilbert Arenas argument is just too silly. Keep trying to farm those clicks though, people will always put on those blinders when it comes to Kobe v Lebron.

@@solardxgamer1692 Making videos about why Kobe is better than Lebron has become its own genre at this point. I wonder what they will do when that argument falls out of fashion in a couple years? I've been alive a long time, I remember when it was Magic will always be better than MJ or Bird would always be better than Magic or whatever will never live up to whoever blah blah blah... it's the same argument over and over and over. It is in our nature. RUclipsrs like this know this and exploit it. In reality I bet this guy could care less, this all a charachter he's playing to get views. It's all BS.
