Great playing/singing for a pub gig. If one is looking for an attentive audience, that’s not often going to be a pub gig. Look at it like getting paid to practice, with an occasional appreciative audience member, and you’re good.
You're great man. Pub audiences are frickin hideous. I do something similar and in the old days the rock bands I was in would power over the conversation but now we get swallowed up by the racket of drunks
It’s a place where people go to drink and hang out. Music sets an atmosphere in a place like that. It’s not so much a listening room environment. This has to be understood in order to have fun playing these kinds of gigs. It’s a little silly to expect everyone’s undivided attention in a place like that.
Its a Moon Bryan Adams guitar going into a Ditto X4 basically. I Use a cheap eq pedal as a boost for volume in solos and sometimes I use the boss OC3 for some low notes. It all went into a Yamaha Stage Pass 400. Thanks for asking!
Hey Dan. Yes, I used a looper pedal. That's pretty much it, although I do use a boost for volume and an octaver for the low notes sometimes. Does that help? Cheers!

Good musician & performer - not much of a conversationalist - although it looks like he has the patience of Jobe, not much of an appreciative audience! Kind of regarded much similar to a Jukebox! That is the music business for you! This must be a Canadian Pub?
voice is just generic. Get an electronic device to add another third or a fifth to your voice. Your guitar playing is good and i find nothing wrong with that. how ever your vocals are redundant and i grow tired very soon listened to that.
Wow, then perhaps you could post some videos of yourself demonstrating non-generic vocals, just for reference of course. I mean obviously you must perform out on a regular basis, right ? Perhaps you could critique some of the stuff on my channel that has both covers and live performances. ruclips.net/user/clouseau62n
Typical of pub performers, the guitar dominates. It‘s like the vocals are an afterthought with zero passion/expression. Also, why acoustic? They all sound thin and buzzy due to the godawful piezos. I prefer my solid body Variax JTV-59 with emulations and alternate tunings by footswitch.

Sounds great, dude! It’s awesome to see folks out there doing it!
Excellent. Really enjoyed it. I know how hard it is to gig in a noisy environment. You did well. Blackbird certainly quietened them down 😀
Bravo, great gig!
Hey Geri thanks so much for checking it out. Hope to catch your show at some point!
Brilliant Karel Kalaf x
any pubs that take instrumental solo guitar acts? ie solos over backing tracks
You have a new subscriber. 😊
love this !!
Great performance
Enjoyed that mate! What gear do you run the guitar through? Really like the sound

I think thats great stuff. I'm getting up the nerve to do an open mic
Best way to start networking with other musos mate!!!
Go for it man. All the best :)
Hey sir - how are you? What’s the title of that one song that has “French” phrase in it. You sang it twice here. Great video and great show.
Johnny B Goode
@@vivian9721 haha!
Good stuff. Did you use a loop pedal or backing tracks? I want to start playing out so I ran into your Vid

@@karelkalaf1 OK cool I have a loop pedal and it is fun to use. No octaver. I have a non-electric acoustic and a Floyd rose style electric guitar
@@danfinney1 Pretty much any guitar you can run into a looper will work. Anything else is just a nice extra to have. That should do the trick!
Good work!
What song is at 9:30?
You sound great shame people dont care days gone by they would not be like this they would be told to be respectfull
Very good stuff. Do you have a gear run down?

Recording mic wouldn’t be picking the vocals very well dude. Hence why the guitar would come out louder to it 🙂
