One night this one drunk was ruining it for everybody, and this guy just stopped playing and glared at this clown. The room got real quiet, then he played the nine-note intro to “Dueling Banjos” and looked expectantly at the drunk.

Robert Arcos Of course it is the EXACT same song. More than Words, Dust in the Wind, Hey Soul Sister, Amie (Pure Prairie League), Tequila Sunrise, Take It Easy, Jessie's Girl, Simple Man, Beast of Burden, Yesterday, I Want To Know What Love Is, Heaven (Bryan Adams)
Acoustic performer and music teacher here. Thanks a lot for some of those ideas. Great job. Here are some highly requested ones and crowd pleasers for you and anyone here looking for ideas: Wagon Wheel, 5 O'Clock Somewhere, Chicken Fried, Happy, Jack and Diane, Lovely Day, and Mary Jane's Last Dance, and Twist and Shout. Beverly Hills, Mr. Brightside, and Ohio (Come Back to Texas) are all great throwbacks as well.
One that really works for me also happens to be the first one I'd ever learned: "House of the Rising Sun". Another good oldie for the live shows is "Here Comes the Sun". And, of course, you can never go wrong with Eric Clapton's "Bad Love" if you have a strong enough voice. It's even good as an acoustic number if you can merge the bass line in there.
Here are most of the songs if you don't want to have to wait in between all of the talking. I may have missed one or two because I kept skipping ahead. Sweet Caroline Thinking Out Loud Perfect Folsom Prison Blues Crazy- Gnarls Barkley Friends in Low Places- Garth Brooks Can't Help Falling in Love You Look Wonderful Tonight- Clapton Stand by Me Smooth- Santana a/Rob Thomas Nothing Else Matters- Metallica Banana Pancakes- Jack Johnson
You guys are great to listen to. Further confirming my long-held conviction that musicians ~ particularly we guitarists ~ are really, really cool people. Also, no matter how listless the crowd, play Folsom Prison Blues and you will get them back singing and clapping.
@@mike-ue4wy To not understand a comment and then throw insults around. I'd like to say you're unique but there's many like you on youtube. I have to say though your comment gave me a laugh so your complete lack of understanding may have been worth it this time!
Any Tom Petty or CCR, Sweet Home Alabama, Brown Eyed Girl, 500 miles, Friends in low Places, any Prince, Amy, My Girl, Leroy Brown, Wonderwall, 3 Am, What I got
You two are soooo cool, so much fun, so understated and so seriously talented! 😎❤ Guys please do a full version of the Santana track, you guys sound amazing together!
When I used to play at parties a lot, I used find that a lot of Beatles songs worked, as well as 'Stand By Me', and 'Brown Eyed Girl'. Fun fact - Lennon was sued by the publishing company that owned Chuck Berry's 'You Can't Catch Me' because Lennon took the first line from the Chuck Berry song. Fun fact - 'Black Magic Woman' is by (the original, Peter Green led version of) Fleetwood Mac.
Enjoyed your list and yes, we play all of those requests and here are some more that we get asked for every night. Brown Eyed Girl, Hotel California, Margaritaville, Bohemian Rhapsody, Free Fallin and Ring Of Fire.
Thank you. I will add a few of these songs to our set list. I am new to playing guitar and gigging. Playing out is fun, but I have the best time doing what you are doing here. Hanging with friends, playing music, having fun, and laughing. I subscribed and hit notifications to both of your channels.
Solid list! I play out with a band, so it may be a little different, but our #1 crowd pleaser for the past 10 years has been Semi-Charmed Life. In the past few years I have to add Shut Up and Dance to that list, too. Honorable mention to You Oughta Know and early T-Swift.
I'd like to point out that Come Together is not random gibberish but a lot of the lyrics (and riff) are from the Chuck Berry song You Can't Catch Me. Also the weird bits grafted to this are about Timothy Leary and were going to be his campaign song when he ran for Governor of California. "In 1969, Leary decided to run for Governor of California, and asked John Lennon to write a song for him. "Come Together, Join The Party" was Leary's campaign slogan (a reference to the drug culture he supported) and was the original title of the song." Otherwise great vid! Keep it up guys
"PLAY FREEEEE BIRRD!" Has been requested at nearly every gig I've ever played. Well ... this past summer we were playing to a 500+ crowd at a local winery and there it was again. This time though some very persistant out-of-town tourists wouldn't let it go. I thought ... seriously ... why NOT Free Bird? We performed a shorter than the original rendition--complete with the deedly-deedly-deedly guitar riffs. The crowd LOVED IT! We will soon be winding down for 2018 ... and tooling up for 2019 and yes ... we're adding FB to our 'to do' list ... complete with the signature Hammond B3 opening chords ... and the deedly-deedly-deedly at the conclusion.
Agree with the timeless ones like Sweet Caroline, Folsom Prison, Can't Help Falling, Stand By Me. Those ALWAYS are pleasers no matter what crowd you play for. Others are hit or miss. I play Crazy, THinking Out Loud, I'm Yours and sometimes they get yawns or no reaction.
Good video boys, thanks. I forget where I heard this but the best music/guitar anecdote I've ever heard was (whoever) pointed to the fret box between frets 0 (open) to 3 and said billions of dollars have been made between here-and-here. A brilliant and simple perspective.
"Come Together" is about the members of the Beatles. One verse for each Beatle. The prevalent theory is that V1=Ringo, V2=George, V3=John, V4=Paul. Another popular theory is that each member gets a line of each verse, but it doesn't work for me as well. Between British slang and inside jokes, you can trace all the verses back to each Beatle. Although, only John knows for sure.
The truth is that things like that have been happening to me on a regular basis since I began busking and living on the streets of New Jersey. Last year a couple of husbands wanted to rip my head off and poop down my neck. Their wives enjoyed my music, and since the wives were young and beautiful (late 20's, early 30's) it only fueled their jealous rage. This year it has skewed much younger. I just started my The Cosmic Busker channel on RUclips a few days ago. The first song I performed to upload to my channel was a cover of Neil Young's "Helpless". I shot the video in the train station where I spend most of my time. After I finished recording the song in the train station, I remained silent for about 5 minutes. Suddenly I heard this pretty and petite young voice echo through the train station: "Keep on Singing!" I busted out the guitar and did The Beatles "Across the Universe" for her. Afterwards I went down to a lower level to chat with and her female friend. "I want you to smoke my blunt." she said, handing me the burning cannabis. After a couple of quick tokes, I told them I had to go...that I had a couple of ladies about their age (19 and 20) meeting me on the top floor. A couple of minutes later, my 2 other female friends showed up on the top floor. "There are some girls down below smoking a blunt." one of them told me. "I know."I responded. "I was just down there smoking with them." "You are hanging out with 2 other girls besides us?!?!?" she responded jealously. Such is the life of a rock star, unknown as I may be.
I don't know where your at and playing but here in Baltimore the one's people crave are ...Purple Rain...In your eyes...Tuesday's Gone...Every Rose has It's thorn...Chain Gang...Wild Horses...More than words....Highway Song...House of the rising sun...Tears in Heaven...that's what they like here...and if you wanna do a little newer..I'll be...good songs tho..don't forget any GooGoo Dolls
You two sound good together. Some good music. I'm almost 63 and want to learn all them songs so bad. I'm learning the piano/keyboards and guitar. Problem is, I've just started a few months ago on my own because I can't afford lessons. I wrote a few crappy songs when I was 15-16 but that was it. I should of done this 30-40 years ago and I could kick myself for not doing it then lol. I got a long road ahead of me.
Would be great to see and learn how Andres does the fingerpicking "boom-chaka" of Folsom prison on an extended close up video (beginner alarm) Sounds great!
Come Together is about the 4 Beatles, listen to the lyrics and it makes sense. First verses are about Ringo, joo joo eyeball, got to be a joker etc. Still sounds good.
At the music store today trying out new acoustics when about 5 or so absolute stragers just started in playing ring of fire it was epic fun and a little theraputic everyone knows these songs and they speak to everyone .
LOVE these songs! Pure gold! What about Rawhide or Stand By Your Man? Worked for the Blues Brothers. Loving these videos with you and Andres! Subscribed to Andres channel. Great content there!
When we are sitting at home in our rooms, that's one thing. But if we perform, then we are there for them. They adore Sweet Caroline; that's all I need to know, so I always play it. Wagon Wheel by Darius Rucker and Country Roads Take Me Home, by John Denver also fall into that category
Ok just for fun here is an assortment of 10 songs I do(my list is 60+): Fearless Heart - Steve Earl Last Dance with MaryJane - Tome Petty Sister Golden Hair - America 38 Years Old - Tragically Hip Your're Gonna Miss Me - Brooks & Dunn Tulsa Time - Don Williams What the Hell I Got - Michel Pagliaro Tequila Sunrise - Eagles 5 Days in May - Blue Rodeo Lightning Crashes - Live
Sean Daniel - Like if the names of the songs aren't spoken loud and clear amid the speaking, sometimes. I hear and/or already know many of these, but I don't know all of 'em, and I'd like the video better if I can make out what you're saying.
We've always been able to fill a dance floor immediately with: 1. Mustang Sally 2. Start Me Up 3. Brown Eyed Girl All old songs but still "getting the job done" if you know what I mean. 😉
..This is a great video because it hits a neglected area of music..."song selection"...How many 100's of sites are talking about scales and pentatonic riff- raff, with virtually NONE on the RIGHT music to play ???...I can get philosophical about this, but C/W genre' needs a GUIDE believe it or not...Yahhh, lots of people are like I was...not liking Country...I hated it in fact until about 52 y/o. It was then I went to a karaoke club and tried a song...The girl emcee didn't like the way I sang it and put up "Omar" next. I found out later he was known as the 2nd best singer in Nashville, with a booming Broadway voice. I felt 1 inch high. You either crawl under a rock and never do that again, or you say, "By gawd I'll show YOU" !!!....So I started listening to Prime Country....not Modern, or Old, or Roadhouse Country, but PRIME to hear songs that were in my range. I would then memorize the lyrics and buy the CD to practice in the car...I was astounded to learn the RICHNESS of the genre'...The songs were about everyday life....."that ain't my truck in her driveway"...."I said grandpa what's this picture here, it's all black/white, it ain't real clear, is that you there?? He said yahhh, I was 11"......."I fell into a burnin' ring of fire".....If people are GUIDED to the right songs, they will like it...
..I'll give an example, then I'll shut- up...but it's a subject near & dear to me....The girl in the attached video is super- hot and about to jump out of her tiny dress with excitement as the group is about to play their new song...It's a song that came and went hitting No. 4 at one point, so many people will not have even heard of it...It's very playable as a 1- man gig song, about 4 chords I think....ruclips.net/video/0pk0asLxdBw/видео.html ......
@@deeveeuhs I've heard that Son Montuno pattern on different songs. Cuban pianist Rubin Gonzalez did a similar song on an American Audience CD. Dizzy Gillespie/Chano Pozo had Guachi Guaro, same groove.
Craig Browning Definitely! That pattern like most traditional montunos have been done over many times, but that specific riff/melody is accredited to Cachao. But music is shared and borrowed and reinterpreted. When Tito put that record out, Cachao was asked if he was going to sue for royalties and he humbly responded by shrugging and saying “you know how kids are”.
These are songs good for an acoustic gig. Some can work, but if I’m playing thinking out loud at my rock gigs n it’s clearing the floor, I “audible” out with a hand signal to my band to see, we transition into a no-brainer crowd pleaser like Mr. Brightside or All the small things immediately. My band knows which song I called by the hand signal, I have about 10 to 15 hand gestures for each song. Also use medleys: verse chorus next song. You can kill 15 minutes with a 7 song medley. Doesn’t matter the key, use the 1-5-6-4 chord progression. Always works.
Sweet Caroline fits Andreas' voice well. I'm going to have to learn that Ed Sheeran song. Your body is a wonderland would be a good one. Wonderful tonight is a classic, Stand by me, and My Girl, Cool is a great one, anything Beatles will work for sure. I would never thought of doing a Metallica song in acoustic set. Knowing a certain Chris Stapleton tune wouldn't hurt either. This is love by Bob Marley will always win.
Great video and a good list. In the UK at least One Day Like This - Elbow especially if you mix in the outro of Hey Jude with The Outro Throw those curtains wide. My other go to songs that are crowd pleasers Tracks of my tears, Take a walk on the wild side Lou Reed

This is more like banter and less of a list, which is what is implied in the video title, that is what makes it unbearable for some.
Oh... Well if YOU enjoy it, everyone else with different opinions can definitely fuck off, right?
Or maybe it's because they're not great guitarists or singers 😆
Older people dig Thinking out Loud 'cause it's the same chord progression as 'Let's Get it on'
Ed Sheeran seems to disagree
It is similar but it isn't. That being said it does capture a similar feel to that of Let's Get It On.
Robert Arcos

In the process of learning this one....has definately been requested more than once
marderb3 I honestly hate the song. But it’s a good one for these small town bars.
@@donaldmack2307 it's pretty cringe worthy but also worthy of singing and dancing too....also suitable for small town nelson new zealand😁
yup I do that one.
All great calls.
Acoustic performer and music teacher here. Thanks a lot for some of those ideas. Great job. Here are some highly requested ones and crowd pleasers for you and anyone here looking for ideas:
Wagon Wheel, 5 O'Clock Somewhere, Chicken Fried, Happy, Jack and Diane, Lovely Day, and Mary Jane's Last Dance, and Twist and Shout.
Beverly Hills, Mr. Brightside, and Ohio (Come Back to Texas) are all great throwbacks as well.
All great ideas Logan!
All great calls.
The art of playing a song you hate but the crowd loves and doing it well lol👍😩
Here are most of the songs if you don't want to have to wait in between all of the talking. I may have missed one or two because I kept skipping ahead.
Sweet Caroline
Thinking Out Loud
Perfect
Folsom Prison Blues
Crazy- Gnarls Barkley
Friends in Low Places- Garth Brooks
Can't Help Falling in Love
You Look Wonderful Tonight- Clapton
Stand by Me
Smooth- Santana a/Rob Thomas
Nothing Else Matters- Metallica
Banana Pancakes- Jack Johnson
Thanks for putting this together!
Thanks so much. This video is truly awful to listen to.
Thank you for not making me have to repeat more than a few times cuz they zip over the titles.
Thanks to youtube recommendations, I've stumbled upon your channel and I really enjoyed this format. Keep it up ☺
Welcome to the party!
Dock of the bay is a good one, always gets ppl singing along.
100% agree.
You guys are great to listen to. Further confirming my long-held conviction that musicians ~ particularly we guitarists ~ are really, really cool people. Also, no matter how listless the crowd, play Folsom Prison Blues and you will get them back singing and clapping.
you know it!
Sweet Caroline will get you into the best retirement villages!
I'm hitting the Senior Center/Retirement Home circuit for the babes!
Hey oh!
Well, everybody thinks they will retire someday, but many do not make it. Good luck, my entitled, arrogant friend
@@mike-ue4wy Well I've been retired for 4 years now. So who are you referring to as being entitled?
@@mike-ue4wy To not understand a comment and then throw insults around. I'd like to say you're unique but there's many like you on youtube. I have to say though your comment gave me a laugh so your complete lack of understanding may have been worth it this time!
Thank U so much for this video. I really like your advice. Especially Jack Johnson's banana pancakes is a wonderful insiders' tip. 😀
"Whiter Shade of Pale" gets the girls every time! "Desperado" is always a good one too.
Love Desperado.
ya desparado
Thinking Out Loud hold a special place in my heart as the first song I learned by ear, but I can understand it getting annoyingly simple but popular
Any Tom Petty or CCR, Sweet Home Alabama, Brown Eyed Girl, 500 miles, Friends in low Places, any Prince, Amy, My Girl, Leroy Brown, Wonderwall, 3 Am, What I got
They all get the job done!
Ok so don't play any good songs......got it.
Lol pretty much. Im my area anyway. Drunk people like stupid songs. I play good songs too but they do not seem to go over as well. Cheers!
yes please do 500 miles
Hey! This is MY kind of gig list! I like some Eagles, Fleetwood Mac songs in there, too!
This video brightened the world for a little bit. Thanks guys!
Happy to help!
I'd like to add Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison to the list. Easy song that everyone knows.
Officially added.
easy if you just play chords. kinda fun when you really study the song and play everything like the record
Arguably not an easy to song to play properly
Oh yea! I used to get people from the audience to play percussion and sing along with "la la la la...
, I will do that once in awhile reluctantly if I can tell it really means a lot to them
You two are soooo cool, so much fun, so understated and so seriously talented! 😎❤
Guys please do a full version of the Santana track, you guys sound amazing together!
Lovin this new bromance for you Sean. You two should jam more! And let the songs resolve. Lol
He's the best.
Sean Daniel no, you are the best... after me
The chemistry here was amazing
When I used to play at parties a lot, I used find that a lot of Beatles songs worked, as well as 'Stand By Me', and 'Brown Eyed Girl'.
Fun fact - Lennon was sued by the publishing company that owned Chuck Berry's 'You Can't Catch Me' because Lennon took the first line from the Chuck Berry song.
Fun fact - 'Black Magic Woman' is by (the original, Peter Green led version of) Fleetwood Mac.
Thanks for the fun facts!
Enjoyed your list and yes, we play all of those requests and here are some more that we get asked for every night. Brown Eyed Girl, Hotel California, Margaritaville, Bohemian Rhapsody, Free Fallin and Ring Of Fire.
...nobody said "Hallelujah."
We do a punk version of that. Jeff Buckey style for the first verse, then we go all Sex Pistols on it. It's brilliant fun.
That's a good one actually.
Never fails.
I play the Christian version by Cloverton and I had 40 Catholic seniors sounding like a Baptist Church choir!! It was amazing!!
@@seanp777 no
I can't play songs that I don't like....I get like a whole body gag reaction that I just can't hide.
Hey man thanks for the list, had about half of em in my repetoire but about to play for an American audience so this was helpful -So thanks!
Happy to help!
Thank you. I will add a few of these songs to our set list. I am new to playing guitar and gigging. Playing out is fun, but I have the best time doing what you are doing here. Hanging with friends, playing music, having fun, and laughing. I subscribed and hit notifications to both of your channels.
Right on man! Welcome to the party!
Solid list! I play out with a band, so it may be a little different, but our #1 crowd pleaser for the past 10 years has been Semi-Charmed Life. In the past few years I have to add Shut Up and Dance to that list, too. Honorable mention to You Oughta Know and early T-Swift.
Good stuff :)
Jason Ackerman Taylor Swift? Who are you playing to man? 10 year old school girls?
@@folkfingerstylefreddy2154she pretty much one of the biggest artists going and has been for years. You'd be dumb not to add some swifty to your set
You two crack me up every time! Love you both! keep pushing em out!
Thanks so much!
What time does the talking stop?
When the rock starts.
It doesn't LOL
Ever....stop.....
Joe Cool never
Never. They have nothing to teach
You guys just make me happy.
Thanks so much!
You should do this more often, you mix well together, but full songs, South America and classics, great work
Great suggestion.
I love it!
Sean Im going to say it again, I love your timbre and annunciations of words! Lol. a la Hetfield: Yay-yuh!
Thanks so much Jeremy :)
Good video boys, thanks. I forget where I heard this but the best music/guitar anecdote I've ever heard was (whoever) pointed to the fret box between frets 0 (open) to 3 and said billions of dollars have been made between here-and-here. A brilliant and simple perspective.
So true.
Put another way, there's no money above the 5th fret.
That opening joke was LITTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!
;)
"Come Together" is about the members of the Beatles. One verse for each Beatle. The prevalent theory is that V1=Ringo, V2=George, V3=John, V4=Paul. Another popular theory is that each member gets a line of each verse, but it doesn't work for me as well. Between British slang and inside jokes, you can trace all the verses back to each Beatle. Although, only John knows for sure.
I got a crazed scream from a beautiful girl about a month ago after I performed "Miracles" by Jefferson Starship. She really lost it.
Why do I think maybe she wasn't a girl but a 60 year-old woman.
Nope. Late teens, early 20's tall brunette in dress and high heels.
noice
Suddenly I heard this pretty and petite young voice echo through the train station:
"Keep on Singing!"
I busted out the guitar and did The Beatles "Across the Universe" for her.
"I was just down there smoking with them."
"You are hanging out with 2 other girls besides us?!?!?" she responded jealously.
Such is the life of a rock star, unknown as I may be.
hahahaa good story
Jose is an excellent musician and has a cool, fun energy! Thanks, I needed that today.
Wild Horses is a staple for sure.
I lived in Baltimore 20 years. Lotta good places to gig. What are your favorites?
Piano man is a classic that most folks of the older generation get down to
I agree, great song; but, it's a reach to sing, "I'm the piano man" while playing a guitar!
I was waiting for someone to bring up Jack Johnson. If I ever play a set without one of his songs, I'm doing something wrong.
You know it!
Madness - It must be love, Bill Withers - Just the two of us & LVD - Never too much are pretty much played on rotation at every gig!
U should upload lessons on "purple haze" "come together" and "smooth" the way you play them...
Nah you'll get there man! Keep rockin!
I'm 80 and still playing out in bars. Unless you're in Colorado , I'll give you free guitar lessons on Facetime.
Would be great to see and learn how Andres does the fingerpicking "boom-chaka" of Folsom prison on an extended close up video (beginner alarm) Sounds great!
I'll ask him!
Please please...please...
Make this a regular feature !!
So much fun AND informative !!
Sean, can you do a lesson on Smooth?
Would love that too
might have to break it down.
Edtaggartsingssmooth you tube
Come Together is about the 4 Beatles, listen to the lyrics and it makes sense. First verses are about Ringo, joo joo eyeball, got to be a joker etc. Still sounds good.
These need to make a part 2
We just might!
Do it! I need more of this! xD
Nice guys talk, joke and jam a bit.
The big pleasure and relaxation to listen and see You as well!
Knocking on heavens door, Hotel California
Good additions.
Die-hard Metallica fan here - thanks for including Nothing Else Matters 👍🙂 😍
Carlos said right at the end under his breath I love pancakes
Who doesn't.
At the music store today trying out new acoustics when about 5 or so absolute stragers just started in playing ring of fire it was epic fun and a little theraputic everyone knows these songs and they speak to everyone .
Love it!
LOVE these songs! Pure gold! What about Rawhide or Stand By Your Man? Worked for the Blues Brothers.
Loving these videos with you and Andres! Subscribed to Andres channel. Great content there!
He's the best.
This would go perfect in a podcast, This is a funny and informative content, to listen while you are doing something else
Love those Latin flavor lead licks you are noodling.
Thanks!
Andres is crackin' me up.
Sweet Home Alabama is #1 song that gets everyone going nuts. I also like Good Riddance by GD.
Medley it into Take the Money and Run :)
Both kind of true.
When we are sitting at home in our rooms, that's one thing. But if we perform, then we are there for them. They adore Sweet Caroline; that's all I need to know, so I always play it. Wagon Wheel by Darius Rucker and Country Roads Take Me Home, by John Denver also fall into that category
Anything from Pink Floyd would be nice. Wish you where here is a real crowdpleaser😊
Margaritaville. nuff said
I'm usually at a loss when people ask me to play them something on guitar. This'll get the job done. Thanks, dudes!
Happy to help!
Ok just for fun here is an assortment of 10 songs I do(my list is 60+):
Fearless Heart - Steve Earl
Last Dance with MaryJane - Tome Petty
Sister Golden Hair - America
38 Years Old - Tragically Hip
Your're Gonna Miss Me - Brooks & Dunn
Tulsa Time - Don Williams
What the Hell I Got - Michel Pagliaro
Tequila Sunrise - Eagles
5 Days in May - Blue Rodeo
Lightning Crashes - Live
Folsom prison blues was the first song i learned to play on guitar...
Classic.
Me too
Robert Powell fuck b7, i hate that chord
Well, that was one the easiest Subscribe decisions ever. Instant Andres fan.
He's great.
I was expecting every song to be Wish You Were Here
Man, my taste in music is a complete 180 from Sean.
Hooooold on now, in no way are any of these songs I would EVER listen to under any other circumstance than playing them for the people!
just put them in the description please
Then why watch the video?
Sean Daniel - Like if the names of the songs aren't spoken loud and clear amid the speaking, sometimes. I hear and/or already know many of these, but I don't know all of 'em, and I'd like the video better if I can make out what you're saying.
Then why to make a video... Where you mostly speak...
For your stories around each one and explanation of why and how you use them
Great to visit and listen to you guys. Enjoyed that-eh. Such great playing and Andres got pipes. More!
'nah nah, wrong random jibberish' LMAO
:)
We've always been able to fill a dance floor immediately with:
1. Mustang Sally
2. Start Me Up
3. Brown Eyed Girl
All old songs but still "getting the job done" if you know what I mean. 😉
..This is a great video because it hits a neglected area of music..."song selection"...How many 100's of sites are talking about scales and pentatonic riff- raff, with virtually NONE on the RIGHT music to play ???...I can get philosophical about this, but C/W genre' needs a GUIDE believe it or not...Yahhh, lots of people are like I was...not liking Country...I hated it in fact until about 52 y/o.
Great advice Lonnie! Way to stick with it!
..I'll give an example, then I'll shut- up...but it's a subject near & dear to me....The girl in the attached video is super- hot and about to jump out of her tiny dress with excitement as the group is about to play their new song...It's a song that came and went hitting No. 4 at one point, so many people will not have even heard of it...It's very playable as a 1- man gig song, about 4 chords I think....ruclips.net/video/0pk0asLxdBw/видео.html ......
Our job is to make our audience smile, dance, cry and smile again. Retired US Army Bandsmen
I got the cryin part down.
"Oye Como Va" was originally record by Tito Puente in 1965.
Craig Browning it’s actually an original composition by Israel “Cachao” Lopez called “Chanchullo” written in 1957.
Andres is pretty great.
Great video and a good list. In the UK at least One Day Like This - Elbow especially if you mix in the outro of Hey Jude with The Outro Throw those curtains wide. My other go to songs that are crowd pleasers Tracks of my tears, Take a walk on the wild side Lou Reed
