I have a problem, the bcfg command is missing. I have an EFI shell version 2.70 [5.19]. What can I do to get Windows to start right away, and not EFI???

Guys don't waste time.this is very helpful by I couldn't find the EFI file in my folders FS0 or 1 or 2 so I turn off the laptop and open BIOS . IN The FAR RIGHT under Safe changes has an option EFI BOOT. I DISABLE EFI SHELL and Worked. Try it if you couldnt solve it after this so helpful video.
This was an honest presentation of this subject, funny too. I wanted to lean more about the EFI shell, for example, in linux my root drive has a different partuuid in the EFI shell, than the same root drive has after the system has fully booted up. For boot I need to find out the partuuid is in EFI. Thank you for your EFI video.

Thanks for this video. Every time I tried to use EUFI in Proxmox Hypervisor it would stop at the shell. I had to disable Secure boot!! Your video led me to the answer. Much appreciated!

However by just doing the simple fs0: or fs1: I get fs1: or fs0: is not a valid mapping instead I use fs0: cd / to change dirs

Oh my, this takes me back. I used to use commands like this all the time in windows 3.0. When I was 5 uears old, I was using dos commands just like this... wow the original substructure is the backup... cool.

OMG thank you so much, I needed to downgrade a BIOS from a B350m MSI and they provide nothing but a message telling you you can't. IDK why MSI doesn't provide this information so you can recover your mobo instead of losing $$ on working hardware

My supermico scmf x9 won't boot to bios. It gets stuck with an AB error. I guess because I changed to date and time. I tried to dial the date back in the EFI shell but it won't save it so when I reboot the date is current again. Any thoughts

You can edit the startup.nsh too with the edit command so it always starts a chosen bootloader.

Hey, I watched your video and it was quite interesting. I am facing a issue and I would really appreciate some help on it. Let me give you a bit of context, I tried running Kali Linux on UTM on my Apple MacBook Pro(M1 pro) running macOS Ventura 13.2.1. It is a part of my college project and whenever I try to run it, I encounter the same problem. But in my case the UEFI shell window shows only BLK2, BLK1 and BLK0. It does not show any FS volumes or anything. I tried every workaround but it is still not working. I would really love some help or insight on why am I getting this issue?

What do I type to format and partition for windows format ?
My pc seems to have this strange issue: the BIOS/UEFI must exist, and when I press the BIOS button it beeps and says "please wait" like it's going to load the UEFI GUI, but it very quickly goes straight to loading Windows instead.
The only way I can even use EFI Shell is by removing the boot drive and plugging in a bootable USB instead.
How can I fix this?

I want to copy one particular work folder from memory to external USB stick. Could you suggest how to do it? In the help i couldnt see the command to do it. Thanks in advance.
I used "CP -r source destination" and it worked. Happy to recover work folder.

So far this has been the most useful video I've found, but i don't see any executables. I'm trying to get past the EFI menu, windows won't boot up so this is as far i can get. The MSI BIOS menu doesn't seem to have anything useful for my situation.
Been messing about on and off for two years with this thing, my only achievement is getting rid of a black startup screen, so i do got access to the BIOS and the EFI menu, i just don't know what to do from here.
if there is no EFI executables, it's either you don't have a bootloader (accidentally removed) or it's a legacy OS install (MBR).
The easiest solution would be to move your important data out and do a fresh OS install.

When I tried this one of the FS partitions was the Windows C: partition. So it will read NTFS.
