My Top 10: 1. Good Time 2. A Ghost Story 3. Uncut Gems 4. Ex Machina 5. Moonlight 6. Lady Bird 7. Killing of a Sacred Deer 8. First Reformed 9. The Lobster 10. Waves
Free Fire is possibly the most underrated A24 movie. Not saying that it's the best, but it is probably the most fun movie from A24, and I always have a blast watching it. It's a very simple premise of two gangs in the 70s meeting up in a warehouse to buy and sell guns. There's a disagreement, and the majority of the movie becomes a wild shoot-out. Stacked with amazingly entertaining performances from Sharlto Copley, Armie Hammer, Cillian Murphy, Brie Larson, Jack Reynor, and so many more. The movie can drag on a bit too long, but I still have so much fun with it. It's amazing watching the practical stunts they do in the movie. One guy gets his face run over by a van, and Sharlto Copley literally gets set on fire. It's awesome!
I will probably miss a few out but 1. Everything everywhere 2. Climax 3. Hereditary 4. Good time 5. Midsommar 6. Uncut Gems 7. The Witch 8. Under the skin 8. First reformed 9. The lighthouse 10. Saint Maude Just watched the disaster artist too, that would make the top 20. Haven't watched the green night or cmon cmon yet.
I wouldn't know where to rank them but Good Time, Midsommar, Waves, Enemy and Lady Bird are among my favorites. And even though I loved Good Time I didn't like Uncut Gems at all. And I don't understand why people say that it's anxiety inducing. I still haven't seen The Green Knight or C'mon C'mon. I'm going to the theater tonight to view Everything Everywhere All At Once. I've lived in Florida my entire life so I've seen those buildings in The Florida Project. Waves is primarily filmed in Broward County. The hospital that I used to work at can be seen in the film.
A24 is the best studio to looking for, and the only one that bring us diverse and original movies steadily. Haven't seen all of their movies, but had not disappointed me at the moment.
I highly recommend looking at other film distributors such as NEON (specializes in international films, indies, and documentaries) & Gkids (specializes in animation) are two big stand outs for me. I actually prefer NEON over A24 personally 🤷🏻♂️ … Also various physical release media labels like the Criterion Collection are a great place to go to for amazing film recommendations.
American Honey is one of my favorite A24 films. Not sure if you've ever seen or even heard of it, but you should if you get the chance. It's REALLY good
Wow a lot of these I didn't even know were A24. Here's my top 20: 20) Mid 90's 19) Room 18) Locke 17) The Disaster Artist 16) American Honey 15) Swiss Army Man 14) Saint Maud 13) First Cow 12) Ladybird 11) The Green Knight 10) Midsommar 9) The Lobster 8) The Killing of a Sacred Deer 7) Uncut Gems 6) Ex Machina 5) Good Time 4) Green Room 3) The Lighthouse 2) The Witch 1) Hereditary I thought Annhialation would be on this list as well it would be up there with Ex Machina for sure. Cannot wait for Alex Garland's new film "Men" him, Robert Eggers (The Northman!) And Ari Aster (Disappointment Boulevard) are all on my top 10 Directors after just 2 films each and all with upcoming 3rd films. Jordan Peele with Get Out and Us as well is in contention with 3rd film "Nope" coming out soon!
@@josephreusch i mean, i really dont know anybody who actually enjoyed it. heard a couple of reviews say they do but the ending is just ridiculous. least fav movie of the year so far, i feel ridiculous having spent so much mental energy even anticipating it
1. Hederitary 2. The Florida Project 3. Moonlight 4. Room 5. Ex Machina 6. Minari 7. Uncut Gems 8. The Lighthouse 9. Midsommar 10. The Witch Strong suspicion Everything Everywhere All At Oncrle could rank VERY high once I see it.

Hey Austin. I just wanted to notify you that for the entirety of this year. Your hyperlink in the description of every video linking you to your letterboxd ranked list of 2022 films... that link actually takes you to your 2021 list...

Hereditary has been my favorite A24 movie too but Everything Everywhere All At Once was phenomenal that it may be my new favorite A24 movie and maybe all-time. Recency bias? Maybe. But I've never seen a film where I laughed and cried AT THE SAME TIME, AT THE SAME SCENE. IT'S CRAZYYYY!!! Here is my list: 1. Everything Everywhere All At Once 2. Hereditary 3. The Lighthouse 4. Uncut Gems 5. A Ghost Story 6. Good Time 7. Minari 8. The Florida Project 9. The Green Knight 10. The Farewell 11. Midsommar 12. Moonlight 13. Ex-Machina 14. The VVitch 15. The Lobster 16. The farewell story is realatable for me as my grandpa was diagnosed with cancer and he was unaware about it.....my dad told him that its curable and will be cured within 6 months but after 6 moths when he was told....
The Rover is where I realized the potential of Robert Pattinson. Another A24 movie that doesn't get discussed much. I think it's because it came out in the early days of A24 back in 2014
for me it's probably 1. Everything Everywhere all at once 2. The Lighthouse 3. Red Rocket 4. Uncut Gems 5. Eighth Grade 6. Swiss Army Man 7. Hereditary 8. Minari 9. Good Time 10. The VVitch the top 4 being 10/10s for me an the other 6 being 9/10s LOVE A24. I can't wait for Bodies Bodies Bodies, and Men, and Marcel the shell with shoes on, and Dissapointment BLVD this year. Tomorrow is my day with no work, no plans with the girlfriend so it’s gonna be an Everything Everywhere All At Once day. You and John Campea have me extremely excited to see this film
Top 20 (of 94 seen)... 1. Enemy 2. Florida Project 3. Ex Machina 4. Hereditary 5. Uncut Gems 6. Everything Everywhere All at Once 7. Midsommar 8. The Green Knight 9. A Ghost Story 10. I didn’t expect to love The Disaster Artist. When I think of A24 back then, i just remember their indie horror films. That movie was not one of them. It’s a fun biopic
I've not seen every A24 film (and Everything Everywhere All At Once has not released in the UK), so for the one's I've seen: 1) Ex Machina (10/10 - easily one of the best sci-fi films of all-time, and in my top 10 favourite Hollywood films of all-time) 2) Eighth Grade (8/10 - while I am not an American and have had my schooling in India and Nigeria, I found it to be a really good look at a particular point in life of a kid) 3) The Farewell (8/10 - really good film with really good performances, that while I don't relate to it, I did care/feel for the characters) 4) Lady Bird (6/10 - thought it was good, but did not connect with it on a personal level, nor did I care for anyone) 5) Enemy (5/10 - did not like it a whole lot, as it is not a style of film I like)
Thanks for watching!

I just saw Everything Everywhere last night and man I can’t stop thinking about it. I’ve never seen something like it. I loved it. It may dethrone The Lighthouse as my favorite A24 film.
The concept is quite similar to Spider-Man into the spider verse but with a different story obviously.

I love that you did this list!
I have not seen many A24 films, but my favourites are Uncut Gems and The Green Knight.
I will probably miss a few out but
1. Everything everywhere
2. Climax
3. Hereditary
4. Good time
5. Midsommar
6. Uncut Gems
7. The Witch
8. Under the skin

Just watched the disaster artist too, that would make the top 20.
Haven't watched the green night or cmon cmon yet.
Hereditary and Uncut gems 💪
Under the Skin is my favourite film of all time, so of course it's my favourite A24 film.
My top 5
1.The lighthouse
2.The Florida project
3.Lady bird
4.Hereditary
5.The witch
A24 is the best studio to looking for, and the only one that bring us diverse and original movies steadily. Haven't seen all of their movies, but had not disappointed me at the moment.
I highly recommend looking at other film distributors such as NEON (specializes in international films, indies, and documentaries) & Gkids (specializes in animation) are two big stand outs for me.
I actually prefer NEON over A24 personally 🤷🏻♂️
…
Also various physical release media labels like the Criterion Collection are a great place to go to for amazing film recommendations.
@@MagnitudeReviews Thanks, I will check those out!!

I thought Annhialation would be on this list as well it would be up there with Ex Machina for sure. Cannot wait for Alex Garland's new film "Men" him, Robert Eggers (The Northman!) And Ari Aster (Disappointment Boulevard) are all on my top 10 Directors after just 2 films each and all with upcoming 3rd films. Jordan Peele with Get Out and Us as well is in contention with 3rd film "Nope" coming out soon!
annihilation wasnt an A24 movie, but yes its great. Men was unbelievably frustrating and by far Alexs worst imo.
@@tinkerella haven't seen it yet but heard it loses a lot of people in the 3rd act.

The Killing of a Sacred Deer is always overlooked but I think it is one of the best A24 films to date.
for sure!!! was so surprised it wasn't even mentioned in passing - it's top 3 for me
The Rover is where I realized the potential of Robert Pattinson. Another A24 movie that doesn't get discussed much. I think it's because it came out in the early days of A24 back in 2014

I just watched Mississippi Grind because I'm a Ben Mendelssohn fan not realizing it was distributed by A24. That was a pretty good flick.
If you want some recent black and white potography watch cold war. I would also throw Under the Skin into the mix
A 24 are only and best for art movies, what a great movies, how many very good and masterpices by this studio A24❤
Missed opportunity for a Top 24
I was making this in crunch time, but I definitely thought about it 😂

Always great content! 💯 I also can't believe Dafoe didnt get nominated as well 😞
I didn’t expect to love The Disaster Artist. When I think of A24 back then, i just remember their indie horror films. That movie was not one of them. It’s a fun biopic
I've not seen every A24 film (and Everything Everywhere All At Once has not released in the UK), so for the one's I've seen:
1) Ex Machina (10/10 - easily one of the best sci-fi films of all-time, and in my top 10 favourite Hollywood films of all-time)
2) Eighth Grade (8/10 - while I am not an American and have had my schooling in India and Nigeria, I found it to be a really good look at a particular point in life of a kid)
3) The Farewell (8/10 - really good film with really good performances, that while I don't relate to it, I did care/feel for the characters)
4) Lady Bird (6/10 - thought it was good, but did not connect with it on a personal level, nor did I care for anyone)
5) Enemy (5/10 - did not like it a whole lot, as it is not a style of film I like)
Fair list!
My Top 10:
Hereditary
Moonlight
The Lighthouse
Everything Everywhere All at Once
The Farewell
Midsommar
The Witch
Waves
Minari
Ex Machina
