Is it just me or was 2012 like THE year for animation AND music? That's when a ton of the big brony artists, youtube stars (like Kenny!), and animated series reached their peak. Some are still active but it seems like 2012 had all their Magnus Opuses and we can't quite reach that point :/

I've been in the dumps, since my mom has been in Africa for a work trip, and I'm pretty scared for her, because of the Ebola out break. It's Funny how people talk about how bad bronys are, but you probably are never know what kind of person they are till they admit they're a brony. The cover art for Ken Ashcorp's "supernatural" features the art style and references to Gravity Falls, as her char being dipper, so the hat being the most I conic piece of the work, Glaze added in dippers hat as ashcorp did to utilize the structure of the song...in other words yes that's dippers hat...

I found him answering the question "Are you a Brony?" on one of his Tumblr's, and he responded with "Nope.". What that tells me is he never was a Brony to begin with, which makes a lot more sense than if he just quit being a Brony for whatever reason.

In the description of the video you referenced, Ken wrote "here's 20 Percent Cooler, a massive shout-out to something that's entertained me for quite some time. Thanks, Lauren.". He doesnt specifically mention what it was that entertained him, but I think due to the "thanks, Lauren", we can safely assume he is referring to the show MLP. Taking this information I can infer that he likes the show, but doesn't identify himself as a Brony. I am no Whovian, But i do enjoy watching Doctor Who.
Of course it is inspired by Gravity Falls! The art has only confirmed this long held suspicion.

It's been about what, 8 years? I just remembered this existed and listening to it nearly brought me to tears. Not for the show, well maybe the show, but probably for where I was 8 years ago. It's so weird to think about how many things have changed since I first listened, I really miss it all.
Back here for the same reason. I was still a kid then, 15 years old, maybe? Can't even remember what my mindset and outlook on life was, but time felt way slower then than now, coming up on 24. 2020 came and went, halfway through 2021, and in just a good 8 weeks I'm off to work.
It's funny, everything they say about childhood is true. Wish we all listened, you should really enjoy it because that time between 5 and 10 is mentally as long for you as 40 and 80, so I'm sure our parents and grandparents meant it whole-heartedly, urging to not grow up so fast and to enjoy the lack of responsibilities and guaranteed care, food on the table, etc
It also felt like the golden age back then on RUclips. Minecraft was in its first big explosion still, RUclips wasn't as monetised and corporate, e-sports and streaming were just coming to the more mainstream rather than an X-fire nerd hangout.
Yet at the same time I know I wasn't happy back then, super depressed haha. I'm doing better now, thankfully, yet this nostalgia remains. Time is a train with no breaks, and our embarking station only grows more distant. I guess it's a reason to make the most of what you have at each moment of life, as you only see how much you miss it in retrospect. Like damn, I miss having my mom nag me about homework, you know?
