The thing I think most justifies Fullbright's placement in S Tier is the fact that, since the plot makes it clear that The Phantom imitates people pretty much perfectly, it means that not only was he an evil, heartless bastard, but it also means that he actually, Directly, stops us, the players, from ever getting to meet someone who was such a silly, goofy, upbeat, morally just person like the Real Bobby Fullbright clearly was (since he acts just like the real Bobby Fullbright).
He stole that from us, and we never realize it until the very end of the game. It's an excellent reveal because it gives the player a personal reason to be invested in taking him down. "You Taunted me by being this awesome character and then stole that from me! I am going to end your "Career" for depriving the world of such a good person!", that kind of thing.
Aura was also angry at Athena because she believed she killed her mother, and it’s shown Aura was in love with Athena’s mom.
Even so, she went so overboard and vented it all out on her, I mean yes her love was killed and her little brother was sent to prison for a crime he did not commit and was about to die, but even after it was proven she didn't kill her, when Apollo barged in she still seemed to want to keep having a grudge. I don't dislike Aura, but I wished she at least said sorry to the kid (Athena I mean, the girl is just 18)

My complaint about Trucy in this game is that she got completely shafted. Aside from her being friends with Jinxie in Chapter 2, she doesn't get to contribute anything to the story, which is especially jarring since she was a major character in Apollo Justice and she was the main focus of a whole trial in Spirit of Justice. I still love her, of course, but I wish she got to do more in this game
With Aura, she was also partners with Athena’s mom and she thought Athena was the one to kill her. Like, they give a lot of hints that Aura went into a big depression and then just got progressively more angry after she lost Dr. Cykes and her little bro went to prison on false charges.
Was it ever confirmed that they were partners? We know Aura wanted them to be partners, but I thought only her feelings were ever confirmed.
I meant partners in like business partners/friends. But also, it’s a play on how most characters that use the term “partner” are perceived to be a little fruity in this series by the fans. So, no, unfortunately no confirmation of anything more but it definitely reads that way between Aura and Mentis in my opinion.
Simon Blackquill's wiki states one of his occupations as Sexyman. Gotta love the simp culture around Ace Attorney.

Though, I am sad that Sasha Buckler, obviously the most important character in the game, don't got that sweet S Tier.

Yeah when we get a 7, there needs to be a lot done to sort of tie up all the loose ends and put some stories to bed, plus there are elements people wanted to see more of that felt like we didn't get enough of, I don't know if they can do it all in one title and it all be clean, but that is something that very much needs to happen with the future of the AA series at least as of right now, my best guess is for the next Trilogy/Arch set. Personally I feel like the next one should probably take place at most maybe a couple months after SoJ, cause if we do another timeskip and it's over 2-3 years at most, I feel like it would devalue a lot of what has been built up in 4-6. At least what I would expect, is that it would just end up giving a feeling of "why did you guys take so long?" ESPECIALLY after them straight up promising to tell Apollo and Trucy the truth. THAT is something that CANNOT and SHOULD NOT be time skipped over, that is WAY TOO BIG OF A PLOT POINT that's been built up over the years.

Very surprising to see Professor Means so high. There wasn't much reaction to him in his case, and of course he has such a creepy look.
I think Hue O'Conner deserve a little more praise. It's not often you have a witness change their testimony desperately to protect the defendent. And the realization that the trios friendship and not despite of it is the reason he was willing to lie. And he has gone through character growth, learning he doesn't need to protect his friends and to trust them despite what he throught.

Yup and it's one of the best story of the games so far. so that makes it a more important tier list.
Yeah I do agree even though Athena is supposed to be the center character in this game, her role gets overshadowed by Phoenix and even Apollo. Spirit of Justice didn't do her, well, Justice either only giving her one notable role while Phoenix and Apollo were in control for both halves of the game
I agree! Come on Capcom, give Athena the proper development she deserves!
It DID feel like things just kind of *happened* and we were expected to go along with it. The biggest example being Clay's tie to Apollo.

Now that you played all the games, I'd love to see you revisit some episodes from the first games. Maybe a stream where you play one of your favourite episodes and talk about it/the games/what happend since you first played that episode. I think it would be very interesting to watch.
Also starting a rewatch of the entire series to do a Nickelback counter, see ya in a couple of months when I'm finished :D

To explain the Phoenix problem (why he came back as he was before and didn't continue in the character development that was started), it's basically because the game had a writer's change. Shu Takumi wrote the first 4 ones, while another team wrote 5 and 6. This team considered the games with a specific criteria: it could be the game with which someone would start the AA license. So they incorporated the bare minimum of reference to the previous games, minimal character development, etc... That's why the first trilogy is so loved 🙂

I would've put Norma in F just because I remember her as a walking fat joke. Like, c'mon, none of that was necessary.
Is she, tho? She was a comedic character, that's true, but i don't think she was "walking fat joke".
She was a bit arrogant and nosey, but she was kinda helpful in that case. She doesn't care for her gain of weight, she still confident both in her looks and professionalism, and by the end of the case she's making a book.

@@dan_man3087 Not to mention, she was more than honored to change her mind about the orca once the truth was revealed. She didnt stick to her guns to cause drama and riff raff, instead changing her approach of blaming the orca to praising the orca(s). She has no malicious intents, only caring about the truth in her sassy way.
You can not Put Sasha in S and the Orca in B they both belong in A , together. like friends. Who are great at singing.
