She does seem happier in SOJ than she does in AJ. She actually got to be a forensic detective.
Though if you feel bad for Ema, then you should know that in my fan case scripts (Link: archiveofourown.org/users/TheMellowFilmmaker/works) she works with a prosecutor that actually respects her and she seems to be smitten with. Maybe that will make you feel better while I shamelessly self promote (which is the reason I started making these videos in the first place).

@@TheMellowFilmmaker Honestly, you're a godsend when it comes to character codes. Sherlock's appearance in the Ace Attorney series is the best looking Sherlock. He's got the usual Detective look he's known for, with a few minor changes in his wardrobe, and some interesting ideas as well. My favorite addition is that he carries a printer in the back, which is positioned to make it look like he pulled nonsense out of his rear.
