Does anyone know are the ferries on the lake how long it takes from the south to the North..or is it possible to rent a car in lake Garda...??
I don't know how long it takes from the south to the north part of the lake. I just took the ferry from Malcesine to Limone, and it was very short, like 10 minutes. But this is east to west shore. Maybe someone else can chime in.... it could take 45 minutes maybe... maybe a bit less. But you definitely rent a car and drive too all the little towns around lake Garda. It will take you longer, for sure. It's much faster with a ferry. But, the scenery and views from the road... amazing :)

Been there, nice but totally overrated. So crowded and no infrastructure to handle as much people (tourists) in summer.
what month were you there? This video was shot in August, and it was pretty crowded then as well. I think th ebest time to visit is in late september, after the "rush our" has passed.
