Gilbert is the funniest comedian out of all of them. He did way more and he causes me to laugh still till this day. I have been listening to his archive project for months now. Love it
Gilbert is very smart to not divulge any information about his personal life to Howard. Look what Howard has done to other people on the show when they did that. Like Billy West.
Very good point. Howard was always particularly vicious to people he felt threatened by when they outlived their usefulness to the show or when fell out of favor. And he had to understand Gilbert was much funnier than he was.
Up All Night with Gilbert, and Ronda Sheer was awesome. It was a staple of the 90s. Monster Vision, and At the Drive In with Joe Bob Briggs was a classic 90s program also.
I laughed through the entire thing. Gilbert was a national treasure, and Howard used to be. I'm sure Jackie wrote most of his funny lines, but Howard's timing was impeccable. I'm not trying to trash Howard... I just miss the old days. It was glorious. Complete disregard for everything EXCEPT what was funny. PC/Cancellation wasn't even considered.
PC wasn’t part of Gilbert until AFLAC forced him to apologize for the Tsunami joke in order to let Gilbert keep the balance of money of his contract. Gilbert was a big sellout .
Jackie and Artie- funny. Sal and Richard- possibly funny but I don’t know how all the stuff they do is funny. Not my style. I literally only listen to 101.
Amazing since Howard is now in the Hamptons and wondering if he should go to his palm beach compound for the cold weather. I only listen to him now for the 101 replays. He’s not the guy we grew up with- and has changed significantly. He now takes a huge left leaning position. Crazy since they have video of him on blackface yet they haven’t canceled him.
