I can't get enough of mine. Just makes me want to crank it. Sings just like the old vintage Marshall amps, with ever how much gain you need. If you want a jtm45 plexi and 800, buy it. Fender clean too.
I have the mercury edition, absolutely fantastic amp! I play in 2 different cover bands with very different styles of music and the amp1 covers them all. The speaker cabinet you choose will make a huge difference, for those who say its harsh and you don't like it. I didn't like mine at first. But after more research and homework man im glad I didn't return it 🤘
Nice playing! I have a Mercury but I just got it and ended up in the hospital for the full winter and I’m rehabing and staring to play out. I’m using my Boss Katana 50, so I don’t have to set up pedals until I can walk better. Good video bro and nice chops!
*I'm thinking of using this for live gigs, how do you use the Mercury Amp 1 live? Can it drive two EVH 1X12 Cabs and can the settings be saved fore each channel?* ✨✌✨
Hi! thanks for the vid SR! how does the amp react to "low homy volumes"? having in mind that it is 100w, would you recommend it? does it behaviuors like a modeler, in terms of practicity? Thanks before hand.
Have you tried the iridium edition? If so, what made you go for the mercury? Excellent video. I’d say this is one of the very best out there for this product. I’m sure Thomas will be highly appreciative of the quality of this demo.
Hey Andrew, Yes, I had the chance to test both. The Iridium is amazing as well and the channels are very tight, but I preferred the more vintage voiced character of the Mercury. Thank you for the kind words! I really appreciate it 😊
I don’t think the main master volume has any effect on the Nanotube. It’s the overdrive master that drives the tube. The main master is literally a level control. This was mentioned in a recent Q&A live stream on the Bluguitar amp1 RUclips channnel.
That‘s true. The „overall master“ in the upper right section is really just the neutral level (output und phones) control. The master pot beside the gain is what defines the sound of each overdriven amp.
It is a modeling amp but with a real poweramp tube running class d power section. It's modeling the tones of the famous preamps but Sounds just as good as a marshall amp with the right settings. It responds better than most because it has a real tube power section with cab ir
Sorry to hear that, what I can say that you need some time to figure out how to get the right sounds. Turning the Master up for example is really important for the tube like sounds
@@mikkywhalan , Ok, if if it isn’t your tonal cup of tea, fine, but an AMP 1 remains a professional gigging musician’s guitar amp. If your curious what one one sounds like in a band mix live, check out the prog rock band Saga, Live At Rock of Ages. No reverb, delay, or modulation effects, Just pure Amp1 Mercury doing an epic hot trodded Marshall thing, that indistinguishable from a “real” tube amp.
Amazed by how well this seems to take pedals. Thanks for showing the pedals!

What cab do you use for live?
Great video! Love the riff when you first use the Modern channel!
The SG and RAT 2 combo sounds KILLER!
Great video !!! Very simple to learn with these tricks you teach here, very useful information!!
Thank you very much😊

Very clear and thorough. Thank you!
well done and thanks for this. i'm considering getting the Merc to simplify my everyday messing around.
Best amp today. I´m very satisfied with it.
Awesome! Can’t wait to check this out at NAMM
Thanks!
Yes you definitely have to try one! :)
I love mine so much, I might buy a backup just in case. Or just wait for Amp X, if that ever comes out.
Will buy one soon.
Good choice 😊
I have the iridium. I’ve had the mercury too. They replace my Marshall amps

Great playing dude
great Video with a great Amp!!!!!
Great review.
Great video! Tks!
master on 7 will blow my roof off...
Sounds fantastic, which IR are you using on the crunch tones?

How do you turn the amp1 ir off to use your torpedo?
It automatically turns the speaker simulation off if you plug in a speaker or a load box like the Captor X.
Nice demo and tones: where/how do you insert the IR's ? cheers :)
Thanks! I use the Two Notes Torpedo Captor X - there I have loaded my IR's

awesome
Great demo, do you have olso links for ir s to tseck out? :)
Thank you!
I mostly use the Two Notes DynIR's & the Greenbacks from SoloDalls. You can find them on their websites :)

Is this better than amp modelers effects
Hi, the AMP1 is a full amplifier and it has no effects (only reverb). So you can't really compare it to a modeling amp/pedal.

@@Snoopdave2000 no modelling in this amp it’s all analog. The only digital parts are the reverb and some channel switching.
@@Snoopdave2000 Surely the 'nanotube' is a gimmick. Can you replace it?
@@theboofin the tube is russian military grade, it will out live you. plus only running class d. short answer is no its not a gimmick
To all you defenders of this toy how do you feel about it now? Not so great is it? I find these modelers so fatiguing on the ears.
I watched this video and bought one. I’m now sending it back. It sounds sterile and fake. Not very tube like. This is a fail!

curious what you have around to compare it with
Nothing is going to sound like an authentic tube amp, this is better for smaller gigs or as a backup
