From everyone here at Weld.com, we'd like to give a big THANK YOU to everyone who took time out of their day at the American Welding Society to speak with us. The AWS is a valuable resource to many of our audience, and if you're not a member, consider joining at www.aws.org.

Great video, my first year as a member was 1987. Not mentioned in the video is the AWS forum, there are some very talented members sharing their knowledge

Excellent point. There were actually some more people from different departments that we interviewed that will be placed in some different videos throughout the year. I believe the forum was mentioned in one 👍

Nicely done guys. Happy 100th to the AWS, It's a big deal. Whether it be publications I have purchased or from simply reading the Welding Journal every month, I have learned a lot from being a member the past 20 some years.

I agree with you but in my experience it's about 50/50.... It's a combination of who and what.

So happy to discover the 100 Year Birthday for AWS (1919 to 2019) & the AWS Publications and Information is "Endless" for Fabrication & Welding Specialists. Go AWS & Keep on the "Hands-on Path to Metal Assemblies."
From Cell-phone Soldering to Bridge & Tower Construction, AWS is everywhere. As an author and researcher the welding profession is outstanding, we need welding!

Don't call them. "We are experiencing high call volumes and your wait time are greater than 40 mins" They WILL NOT call you back. EVER! I called 4 days straight at 8:01am, they open at 8am. Same message.

You actually talked to a real human being at AWS? Seriously, are you sure it wasn't a robot? I have NEVER TALKED to anyone on the phone. They NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE, do not return emails. They suck at customer service. They will take you money all day brother.
