Thank you, saved me alot of trouble. Especially after I ordered a whole box of lock washers and every one of them is broke! They're spilt on one side and bent up a bit so the split ends dont even match up. Sucks, cant use them.
Yeah I turned mine on, made sure it read zero then locked it. I know I have to hold a button but always forget which one. Because the battery lasts a while in Digimatics.
Hi, one question, I had a problem with my clamp, the screen showing me flashing lines when I put a new battery. I tried with other batteries and the problem continues. have you some idea to resolve this problem ?. i putted a 357/303 Batery. thank you.
I apologize for the delay. Your issue was probably solved by this time I guess? It took me a while to reset mine because the button wasn't going all the way down. It is helpful to use something like a paper clip or even a tooth pick. I believe I used my fingernail because pressing with the thumb finger didn't push the button all the way down. Thank you for watching.
Hold down long enough? Try with something with a small end point, like a pen with the point retracted to prevent damage. In some calipers the origin button can be tricky. Hope this helps.
our company a regularly use mitutoyo calipper but now its have problem with the new batch. The problem is the display always blinking and when i push the "origin" button its back to normal but only few seconds its shut off and after that its auto on and blinking again. Even i change new battery the problem still same. Before we can use the calipper more than 1 year but now we only can use it around 3 month and the problem is same.
Hi there. New batch of calipers or batteries? If it is batteries, probably the batteries are not good. This can be true specially when buying batteries "online" from the "e" store.
Hi, thanks for your respond. I don't think its a battery problem. we have 3 calippers that we buy a few month ago that have same problem.we still have 3 more new calipper in our store. we already use this brand since 2003 and no problem but this new batch that we buy few month ago have problem. we buy 10 pcs and already use 7 of them and 4 have same problem.
Since this is a recent purchase I would then contact Mitutoyo or the vendor and seek advice from them directly. You might be covered by warranty. I believe they have a "one year" warranty on calipers. Sorry I can not help with this issue. If I get some info on this I'll post a reply to your message. Good luck!
Hi, sorry for the delay. I hope by this time you solved the issue with the switch. Unfortunately, I have to say that I don't know how to repair the on/off switch. Sorry.
The only fact of interest for me, would have been the size/type of the battery. But this video avoids striktly to show any information about that. For me: Wasted time....
Agreed! That information could be useful. But, if you open your caliper's battery compartment you can read that information directly from the battery. I was kind of focused on getting the display back to normal after replacing the battery. Thank you for your observation.

No problem!...
thank you! you saved my ass! lol
The Battery part number would be helpful.
I believe it's an SR44
What did you use to etch in the numbers on your calipers? Are the numbers engraved or laser etched?
LASER...Sorry for the delay. Thanks for watching!
