I was not first time. It was 2007 when Cape town, Johannesburg, East London and Port Elizabeth saw snow. Till now every year they se snow which is not rare nowadays, specially in Cape Town.

I was in Johannesburg in 1981 when it snowed. There are videos on RUclips of it. I have also heard of it snowing in Johannesburg in the '50s and '60s.
