  • Conrail action at Enola yard near Harrisburg in the mid-1980's. Back then GP9's were the switchers and open top auto racks were common .The quality isn't the best as I filmed in VHS and the tape is 30+ years old. I hope you enjoy going back in time with Conrail.

    The 7549 is alive and still earning its keep as a red CB&Qpainted Bloomer Line locomotive in Gibson City Illinois.

      @@babyhars93 I spent many many hours running the 49 loading grain cars at the elevator where it sits,it's out in the open so it's easy to photograph and it's used daily during the week to switch the ethanol plant on the same track as the elevator.

    That from 1989 that Year Conrail Went with the Black on White Numberboards after receiving 25 C40-8's and 25 SD60'S Tm

      the government didn't subsidize taggers back then. once they got paint money, there was no stopping them.
