I just tried it today… I’m a Pro-Chanel person, from skincare to makeup to perfume and bags. BUT this 2023 Chanel Holiday collection is pretty… “boring” 😕 looks similar like the previous 2021 holiday N5 collection color story and looks so much similar like Dior’s. And the pearl-white side of the highlighter glitter is too chunky this time. I prefer their usual pearlescent highlighters. However, the eyeshadow is pigmented & creamy enough, beautiful texture. Usually Chanel’s eyeshadows are not as pigmented. It’ll be beautiful eyeshadow palette to collect if one don’t have Dior’s collection and the N5 collection.
Angela, you look stunning! I love your makeup and your hair. I love the collection as well. The duo highlighter is my favorite. Now seeing the pearly white highlighter on your skin makes me want to buy it. I like the lovely glow on your face.

It's neutral but festive and you cannot go wrong with the neutrals. As for the oversized highlighters I picked up the white and the coral, both in camelia. The coral is very soft and beautiful and would absolutely look gorgeous on you as a blush. It's not glittery at all. The formula is different from the white one. Frankly, since I found your channel, I have become so enamored and would watch you painting a wall just to hear your voice. You are so very calming and I love Chanel also. It was my very first high end makeup purchase when I was back in my 20's and I am going to be 70 in a couple of months, January to be exact. I felt so very grown up going into the Macy's and having my makeup done by the Chanel associate. I ended up buying several pieces and continue to buy a few pieces from each collection unless there truly is nothing to inspire me. I follow several review channels and blogs and they are not always kind to Chanel and I understand. The products are expensive and cheaper brands have really stepped up their game so in giving an honest review, they need to point those things out. There has been criticism of this release. People saying that it is lacking in inspiration, boring colors, the white shade is too glittery and difficult to build up, etcetera. I feel like they miss the whole point and they need to recognize the woman that Chanel creates for. She isn't going to wear 6 different neon shades on her lids. She is always going to go for the elegant, sophisticated looks. Chanel meets that aesthetic each time. I want to see the whole line but won't be able to see if for about 2 weeks so I am hoping there are still products available to buy. I live more than 3 hours away from any real town, living in t he forests of Montana. I am headed to Denver in ten days and look forward to seeing both the Chanel release and Tom Ford. I am not sure I will pick anything from Tom Ford but the Chanel release is really drawing me in. Thank you for the lovely video and I will keep Nick in my thoughts and prayers. I am a Registered Nurse and know how stressful having a sick loved one can be. Take care of yourself, too.
What impressed me in your comment is that you live in rural Montana, I’m jealous, and you still put on Chanel makeup. I’m in a suburb of Portland, Oregon, and many days I use no makeup at all except sunscreen. Today my delivery of Precious Coral and the Warm Gold highlighters arrive today. The white seems to glittery for me. I haven’t seen anyone try the gold, so fingers crossed.
@@g.970 Thank you for your kind comment. Yes, I live in the woods of Western Montana and it is incredibly beautiful, but like all things there are downsides. If you need to buy a pair or shoes or jeans or anything then you have to travel or buy online. So, I have become pretty good at figuring out what I like and buying on line but with makeup, I prefer to see it in person rather than purchase and return. I don't know whether my concerns are valid or not but I believe that the cost of makeup is partially driven by the fact that Americans can buy at will and return because they don't like the packaging or the color "doesn't work for them" and so that usage gets factored into the cost of the products. I try to be pretty sure before buying and unless it arrives damaged by mail service, I keep it regardless. I will sterilize and gift it if I have touched it. Maybe that contributes to my having over 100 lipsticks and all in my preferred shades! When my family ask me why I have so many I show them a few swatches and no two are exactly alike, which I find pretty amazing that you can have that many and still have nuanced differences. Yes, I put on a face of makeup and jokingly tell my friends that it is my, "Going to the dump," look. Of course, I don't wear red lipstick to the dump, LOL! It just makes me feel better and happier in my life and it definitely provides an artistic and creative outlet.

Anyway I purchased Chanel precious Coral highlighter it's so beautiful and natural looking on my skin personally ✨️ I personally think you should embrace your thirties you are still young and should definitely spoil yourself when you can, to me looking at you you still look in your twenties . I also research your all videos, where you use Chanel No5 quad, cause i love, and i loved it how you used it. So yep eyeshadows and duo are on my list, as well as oversized one in Coral camellia design. And also warm gold on my list, but that one i will get next year. I know its not too popular, and i believe is going to be available, for a longtime, last year’s ones are still available. And gold one is for summer. Love this video thanks for ur review I got my eyeshadows and I loved it so much I might sound little crazy I never do this unless if it’s different shade but I just purchased another ones since I will get a lot of use I love the color story specially the white or silver color in the eyeliner corner looks stunning so I skip the highlighter and I got the oversized cc highlighter and 2 eyeshadow palettes

Thanks4 another informative video...i jus wanted 2 say im kinda in rhe same boat as u in the case of the oversized highlighters..u got tje white & ur debating getting the coral also..but in my case i got the coral & am depatitng get the white..uv seen the coral in store & i trhinkits alot2 spend on 2 highlighters so I'm debating but the white & the coral r so different & who knows wen Chanel wil bring these colors back so getting 1 in white & 1 in coral may b worth it..i have skintone only a little bit darker than urs & but almost the same & i really like the coral, i do wish it was alittle bit lighter but it works on me as a highlighter but its very suttle ,its pretty much an everyday highlighter bc its so suttle, if u think u will use the coral u should get it bc i think u can wear it as a highlighter especially in the summer if u get tan it wil liook lighter on u...i wil probly get the white bc even tho its overpriced it wil last me 4ever & i dnt have a white highlighter besides the new holiday collection 1, i wanted the gold but som1 said its darker then the coral so i kno that wont work 4 me...but i think both the white & coral r a good choice 4 people with light2 medium skin tones

Si je devais choisir un seul produit, ce serait la palette de fards à paupières car elle peut être utilisée au quotidien et pour un maquillage de fête également. Mais si vous souhaitez un highlighter plus brillant, alors je choisirais DUO LUMIÈRE car il peut être utilisé sur les yeux et sur le visage. Precious coral works for me as a luminous blush. It is not as metallic as a mac extra dimension blush; definitely more satin as far as a "highlighter" is concerned.
I think I changed my mind on the pallet( beautiful) but still sad about pearly white not being the same beautiful smooth formula as the coral . I really wanted it in the Lion but I'm skipping that because of the thicker glittery formula. I don't like coral on me as highlight or I would get that one .
Hi Heather :) I think they wanted to experiment with textures. Just like you, I always prefer smoother an finely milled textures of powder highlighters but I'm happy with this one too. The formula of the coral highlighter is completely different. It's smooth and finely milled. A lot of people commented that they love it :) and of course I am so tempted to use it as an illuminating blush. It's early in the morning here and I am on an online shopping spree at the moment :) I can't wait to show everything. I just go a beautiful Dior Écrin Couture clutch. I bought the Fancy Prune in the liquid lip and got two nail colors: the black Sequin and the gold Tuxedo.

@@g.970 Thank you for your kind comment. Yes, I live in the woods of Western Montana and it is incredibly beautiful, but like all things there are downsides. If you need to buy a pair or shoes or jeans or anything then you have to travel or buy online. So, I have become pretty good at figuring out what I like and buying on line but with makeup, I prefer to see it in person rather than purchase and return. I don't know whether my concerns are valid or not but I believe that the cost of makeup is partially driven by the fact that Americans can buy at will and return because they don't like the packaging or the color "doesn't work for them" and so that usage gets factored into the cost of the products. I try to be pretty sure before buying and unless it arrives damaged by mail service, I keep it regardless. I will sterilize and gift it if I have touched it. Maybe that contributes to my having over 100 lipsticks and all in my preferred shades! When my family ask me why I have so many I show them a few swatches and no two are exactly alike, which I find pretty amazing that you can have that many and still have nuanced differences.
Yes, I put on a face of makeup and jokingly tell my friends that it is my, "Going to the dump," look. Of course, I don't wear red lipstick to the dump, LOL! It just makes me feel better and happier in my life and it definitely provides an artistic and creative outlet.

Love this video thanks for ur review I got my eyeshadows and I loved it so much I might sound little crazy I never do this unless if it’s different shade but I just purchased another ones since I will get a lot of use I love the color story specially the white or silver color in the eyeliner corner looks stunning so I skip the highlighter and I got the oversized cc highlighter and 2 eyeshadow palettes

Thanks4 another informative video...i jus wanted 2 say im kinda in rhe same boat as u in the case of the oversized highlighters..u got tje white & ur debating getting the coral also..but in my case i got the coral & am depatitng get the white..uv seen the coral in store & i trhinkits alot2 spend on 2 highlighters so I'm debating but the white & the coral r so different & who knows wen Chanel wil bring these colors back so getting 1 in white & 1 in coral may b worth it..i have skintone only a little bit darker than urs & but almost the same & i really like the coral, i do wish it was alittle bit lighter but it works on me as a highlighter but its very suttle ,its pretty much an everyday highlighter bc its so suttle, if u think u will use the coral u should get it bc i think u can wear it as a highlighter especially in the summer if u get tan it wil liook lighter on u...i wil probly get the white bc even tho its overpriced it wil last me 4ever & i dnt have a white highlighter besides the new holiday collection 1, i wanted the gold but som1 said its darker then the coral so i kno that wont work 4 me...but i think both the white & coral r a good choice 4 people with light2 medium skin tones

Bonsoir Anne, Les highlighters ont des paillettes visibles. Ils sont magnifiques pour un maquillage festif. Si je devais choisir un seul produit, ce serait la palette de fards à paupières car elle peut être utilisée au quotidien et pour un maquillage de fête également. Mais si vous souhaitez un highlighter plus brillant, alors je choisirais DUO LUMIÈRE car il peut être utilisé sur les yeux et sur le visage. Precious coral works for me as a luminous blush. It is not as metallic as a mac extra dimension blush; definitely more satin as far as a "highlighter" is concerned.
Did you buy the Chanel maxi highlighter in Precious Coral? Do you like it?
I think I changed my mind on the pallet( beautiful) but still sad about pearly white not being the same beautiful smooth formula as the coral . I really wanted it in the Lion but I'm skipping that because of the thicker glittery formula. I don't like coral on me as highlight or I would get that one .
Hi Heather :) I think they wanted to experiment with textures. Just like you, I always prefer smoother an finely milled textures of powder highlighters but I'm happy with this one too. The formula of the coral highlighter is completely different. It's smooth and finely milled. A lot of people commented that they love it :) and of course I am so tempted to use it as an illuminating blush. It's early in the morning here and I am on an online shopping spree at the moment :) I can't wait to show everything. I just go a beautiful Dior Écrin Couture clutch. Angie I totally do not mean to be mean, but honest. I watch some of your videos. But I cannot get rid of impression regardless from what products you use, you look almost the same in each of the materials. Not sure whether it's worth all that money, cause you focus mostly on high end luxury brands.
